I have also seen some beautiful hybrids of the military macaws crossed with other colorful macaws. Parrots are a lot of work, require training, including preferably free flight training, and the live a very long time. This longevity means there are a lot of birds available in rescues. Rescues are not the best candidates for free flight training but some will fly. Certainly a little harder to train.
