Just did my first clear! This was my very first raiding experience in this game, and it was super fun also thanks to helpful ppl in PF. This fight is so fun, and the flame tower attack is super cool. Thank you for the guide! I really like how you do explanations :>
Much better visual representation for widening and narrowing witch hunt, glad you ditched the graph paper and presented it better. Thank you again for the guide, you're the best
Lightning Cage was hella confusing for me because it is never said who gets the stacks. The why and who was explained, but what happens is missing. Had to go to another guide to get this information. For those who want to know: People with the long debuffs get the stacks. That's why usual partners don't work.
That information is irrelevant for solving the mechanic tho, go to your role partner that just finished the position you're about to do and it solves itself. The only reason this information would be relevant is if you're forming your own strat with your static blind, which why would you need a guide at that point😅
Should move your stream emoji's to where its not on the boss's cast bar for future guides, don't know why streamers have a habit of just letting that be.
My one gripe with the video is that the lightning cage mechanic has the pictures rotated on their side. Would be more helpful if they were rotated so it shows boss hitting the side of arena instead
The cleave during sideways spark is always either east or west unsafe due to the boss being locked into facing north during it, having the image to show example spreads like this is kinda confusing ngl when you can simply put supports north / dps south and you just shuffle left or right of the cleave slightly and it makes it ALOT easier. Then for adjust you simply just swap m1/r1 or MT/H1
@@threenotesoddity Yeah, we just have roles pair up and have just 4 people adjust if they have the same debuff timer and it made the mechanic insanely consistent because you could think if you had to adjust the moment it starts and not after proteans go out
Don't know what you people are talking about, there is no need for adjusts. Role pairs always resolve themselves. 1/3 role pairs as you said. 1s are always long, 3s always short, they always fit together. 2s role pairs inside hitbox and to her side. There is always a long DPS 2 and a short DPS 2, same for support, they always fit together. No adjusts needed, no need to look at others, only yourself. AoEs are pretty much exactly one square big (the new, smaller squares). As long as the pairs inside the hitbox stand within 2yalms of the center of the square, every melee outside safely has uptime. And as a reminder, 3yalms is melee attack range, which is quite long, so 2yalms is really not difficult to achieve.
@@baltemys6097 it's not meant to show how the mechanic happens true north. Why would it? You do the mechanic LOOKING AT THE BOSS. So the image shows what you would see if you LOOKED AT THE BOSS.
@@akane.sakurada I, too, like to develop strats based on patterns that can never appear in the fight. Why would you ever use what it will always consistently be when you can just make shit up and complicate things?
Even with full BiS gearset with weapon item level 730 I called it off and gave up on M4S for good due to how difficult Widening and Narrowing Witch Hunt actually is but I'm glad for my friends getting the clear and relclearing it on each weekly reset but this fight is a no no for me.
I'm really struggling with twilight sabbath. Is there a trick to figuring out the safe quadrant? I just feel like it's taking me a long time to figure out which sides are casting. I'm not a fan of the animation.
rinon your gameplay shows one thing but the image shows different. while you do explain the mechanics well enough you most definitely mixed positions often in this video.
@@RinBananathat is true, however, you have T/H left for lightning cage, into detaching in your image on screen, but not for the footage of the pairs. Then you have T/H to the wall for ion cluster (they can just go left or right), it’s things like this that make the guide feel a bit rushed and are warranting comments such as these
@@RinBanana I think the issue here is that you're making a guide, not a clear POV. It pretty bad for visual learner that trying to pay attention to what you're doing and then get conflicted when you show the position. Just my two cents
why are you showing a different pairs strat in the gameplay footage at 9:40 than the one you explain with the graphics, what made you go with a different one ? to me the one in the gameplay seems more intuitive as it keeps each role and their "mechanic side", I'd like to understand your thought process on this one
(From the same group) The gameplay footage showed us doing the mechanic during prog which is the "just wing it"-strat. You can hear us call who we are going to pair with in the kill video which you can imagine is not feasible for pf as you aren't 8 people in a voice call. ua-cam.com/video/iwmDfCWDvU4/v-deo.htmlsi=c8ZIiohu85aU5YL4&t=181 We didn't considered making a proper strat for it during progression because we never wiped to it.
Because you are as a result learning less movement/positioning permutations, at the cost of needing to remember if you bait 1st or 2nd. The second reason is that a good chunk of PF is already doing either this or the other protean based strat, and it works fine and is pretty easy, so I don’t wanna mess with it too much
Gotta say, all is good but the sunrise sabath strat is a bit too tight with safe spots, not a fan of that and after hours of whipes on reclears my group are gunna try another way that hopefully gives a more defined safe spot that is less ambiguous, it feels very much like a guessing game where you can die for others guessing slightly off quite frequently
10:16 What is the reason for doing Short 2 Long 1 and Short 3 Long 2 pairs instead of doing 2/2 and 1/3? Adds an extra layer of confusion for no reason Doing Supps left DPS right for one mechanic then doing the opposite for the next mechanic is also a bit sussy Otherwise good guide, thank you for making this to educate PF players
@inekd The boss didnt hit the pairs by roles but by short/long. So if you pair long together, they can explode. Also if you dont have VC, you dont know who is short 1 short 3 or long 2 short 2. Even with VC, it will be chaotic. The strat is made to reduce the amount of thinking you need to do. Just see your role (melee/ranged dps/healer/tank) if got same long/short debuff, then just adjust/swap partner

Think the guide is rushed tbh, a lot of interchanging positions that can be logically fixed but they aren’t. Hope this strat doesn’t become the norm.
