- Setup of a mission from Lock 'n Load Tactical: Heroes of Normandy in preparation to use the (preview copy) of the Lock 'n Load Tactical Solo Expansion. I discuss how the system works at a general level, how to setup a mission and determine which cards to use and the flowcharts included.

I playtested this and didn't have any problems. Starting areas are explained in the setup of each individual scenario. You can use any scenario from any LnL set, though you will need the flowchart for the Japanese (free download on LnL.com) to assist in playing the scenarios from Heroes of the Pacific
I don't think you are missing anything. For an AI like that to really shine, you need some scenarios that have some of that basic information provided for you, such as entry points, starting locations, postures for defense or offense. I think you need to look at this system for what it is, a collection of tools to offer suggestions on specific unit actions. Thank you for sharing the video.
Thank you for this video. The more I learn about the solo system, I think it would be better just to play both sides. I can why some games make a solo system with dedicated scenarios to answer questions like where do you come on the board from.
Excellent intro to the solo system. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the vid, very useful you have helped make my mind up whether buy, or not.
I liked your mini charts and what you did with them. Would you happen to have saved them as a printable file that could be shared? I think that's a great idea but I don't have a scanner. Thanks
email me and I'll see. I have to say though, they may be outdated now since the rules could have changed. onesuponagame (at) gmail.com
This look so amazing, going try this with Heroes of Normandy should be fun. Looks workable for ASL as well looks to be better than the old SASL product.
Having picked up the LNL Tactical Solo Expansion, and just starting to get my feet wet so-to-speak with it, I share very similar frustrations with certain situations such as determining what specific hexes AI units enter from off-board as well as determining groupings of stacks of AI MMC units. One solution that I think would be helpful is if addendums of solo-based rules were added to each specific scenario in the LNLT games that would help determine these types of decisions.

I was thinking that too, but I think that would have to come from the community. I don’t think L’nL’ Publishing has the time or resources to devote to making an addendum for the hundreds of scenarios available. They have stated though, that they are open to creating solo specific scenarios which would hopefully alleviate these issues. However, it’s not a foregone conclusion that they will and if they do, I wouldn’t expect them for quite some time.
Thanks for the video. One question is this a X map?
Mark Ørnebjerg Jensen yes, it’s the larger x-map
Thanks for the answer.
Grrr any idea when this will be available ?
starman May I believe.
LnL say they should receive everything by end of May and then they have to ship them out to customers.

Thanks for that.
Could this solo system be used for Conflict of Heroes too?
Conflict of Heroes already has the original solo version of this.
Just wondered if I could save a few bucks using this system
Gotcha... no. This one is customized for the Lock n Load system. The CoH one is for the missions in the solo system only (not the regular scenarios).
Thanks!
Two thumbs down? Why don't you comment below and explain yourselves? Yes?
