  • Spent the day at one of Florida’s most beautiful State Parks, Myakka River in Sarasota County.
It is a vast protected area with a unique mix of South and Central Florida flora and fauna. The hiking trails offer encapsulating views of the inside of the scrub, and the area as a whole could be described as nothing less than pristine.
The famous canopy boardwalk cross is a must-do, it is worth the hype! Climb higher for 360 views up above the treetops for all of the surrounding area.
We canoe 1.5 miles down the river while sporadically fishing; if you keep going to the lower lake you will find “Deep Hole” where there are no less than 1000 alligators.
