Unfortunately, I can't use the CeraVe hydrating cleanser because it burns my face. So, I definitely want to try the Stratia.
Thank you for a get review. I love liquid gold but I need to cut my skincare budget and I am looking for more affordable skincare. I think I am going to get the cerave pm once I am done with liquid gold.
Yup can’t go wrong with cerave! :)
It's *nothing* like that Cerave crap cleanser. For one, it doesn't burn. Two it's much richer and rinses clean.
Can't wait to try that Liquid Gold product.
Thanks for the review. I'll try the Liquid Gold over the summer, right now my skin is definitely too dry for it. I do love her Rewind serum - great ingredients (5% niacinamide, DMAE, licorice extract etc), and it does fantastic job hydrating and reducing redness!
Yes this is one I want to try in the future!!! 😽 what moisturizer are you using now for the weather?
I'm a floozy when it comes to moisturizers ;) Currently I'm using Institut Esthederm Calming Biomimetic Cream only because my facialist recommended it when I was going through a really bad rosacea flare-up. It's ridiculously priced but I was desperate, and it did a good job (in combination with their serum and cleanser). I've had it for a month, and I still have half a jar left - you don't need much. Still, I'm not going to repurchase, unless my skin freaks out again 😏
I like Bioderma Sensibio AR for winter days - it has mineral oil and it provided a nice barrier in the cold. Hydrabio cream looks promising based on ingredients and I may try it as well. My sister is on Accutane and uses Bioderma Sebium Hydra - she loves it too, so maybe look into Bioderma in general?
Definitely go for the Rewind though - I've gone through three bottles and I'm on my fourth, it's my favorite day serum. 😊
Just curious, what do you mean when you said your skin is too dry for Liquid Gold? I am wondering because my skin is really dry and I thought it is good for dry skin and I am thinking of buying it.
Yesssssssss, I just bought Liquid Gold earlier this week and the ETA is Friday! Cerave PM is nice and light, but my skin has been needing a little more this crazy winter. I honestly might mix Liquid Gold and PM!
I wish I had grabbed Soft Touch as well (skincare addict life). I'm think going to try TO Lactic Acid first, and hopefully the next time I make another Stratia order, her vitamin C will be out. 😍 Do you think Soft Touch will be on your to-try list one day?
Haha! Yup skincare addict life. I do not have that one on my list bc I use retinoids as my daily active and not an acid. I do have the dmae on a future list!
Something about the CeraVe cleanser didn't agree with my skin. On my more sensitive days it would sting a little bit. I haven't had that problem with similar consistency products like Paula's Choice Resist Cleanser and La Roche Posay Toleriane Cleanser. I do recommend both of them if you like the texture of the CeraVe.
Oh no! That’s too bad! The toleriane is sitting in my amazon shopping cart 😅 I imagine it is awesome as their other products are stellar too!
For me it actually works perfectly as a first cleanse. I use 2 pumps or so, get it wet with warm water, then massage that over my dry face. I find it's easier for me than cleansing oils/other methods of first cleanse if I've had a long day with sunscreen/etc on. I find the Toleriane also has less of a smell than the CeraVe, so it's a two-birds kind of situation on my end. The Paula's Choice Resist Cleanser is basically what I use on my days off from work and want to treat myself to something cushiony and more luxurious feeling, and just want to gently cleanse in the morning when I'm staying home.
It does kind of suck because I wanted to like the CeraVe so much, but their cleansers just don't agree with my skin for some reason. I actually really like their PM moisturizer and some of their body lotions.
i hate the cerave hydrating cleanser. The first ingredient is what makes up hair conditioner in large part and leave a film that can't be washed off. It's really gross stuff
I also didn't get along with the cerave cleanser. I use hada labo foaming cleanser now, no smell and its so weightless with no stinging or anything. Amazing stuff.
Love your makeup , very fresh and natural
Velvet cleansing milk is *nothing* like cerave. Nothing.
Rachel Rosen is it better?
What do you think of the First Aid Beauty cleanser?
I have not tried it! But I do love their cream and feel generally confident in their products :)
Love your reviews. Just saw another Liquid Gold product by Alpha H I believe... Confusing !?What are your thoughts on the Krave Beauty products?
Thank you 😊 I have not tried the Krave products but am sure they are great!
Can you please explain how these products are better than Drunk Elephant or any other similar products - and what ingredients in these products are beneficial to the skin? Oh, is this a Korean brand ?
yayyyy i love liquid gold. i think my only issue is the package? the pump is nice but i remember at the end of the bottle it just would not come out, and since its thick i couldnt shake it out :/ id rather it was in a jar (stable paraben preservative so i wouldnt be bothered) or a tube. question about the two cleansers- i love a good facial massage and im wondering if one has a more slippery feeling? im using the bougie biologique recherche lait u and after a while it sinks into my skin so i dont have a lot of time to massage -_-
I am just hitting the bottom now and agree! Still a good amount of product left but not coming out that easily 😿
What I've been doing is laying the almost empty bottle on its side, unscrewing the top and just dipping the straw into the remaining product. It helped my bottle last an extra few weeks!
Thank you for your review! I like your honest and logical review all the time!!
Question - what lipstick are you wearing in this video? Beautiful♡
Haha thank you! This was a mix of a few different things on my lips!! I honestly can’t say I remember lol sorry 😢 I believe the top layer of shine is from YSL volupte shine though! That or Vaseline. Haha
