I own the fz25 and i'll mention a few solutions here😄 Most of the refinement and heating issues and stability issues and hard gearbox issues the fz25 has is not because of the bike, but because of the non-suited stock tires and the oil yamaha gives along with the bike when you buy it..! The stock MRF Zapper tires is just shit for the fz25 especially after 8,000kms is done😅 Even 2 of my friends who owned the same bike said the same. After a lot of research, I switched my stock tires after 14k kms to Timsun ts689 stock size itself, and the whole character of the bike changed..! Am very satisfied with the bike now and its extremely stable and i cruise at 95-100kmph speeds on highways and cornering during weeknds. Other good alternative tires are Apollo Alpha and Metzellers. Any engine oil of yamalube is absolutely pathetic for fz25 even though they claim the sporty premium oil is developed specifically for Fz25. Motul 7100 20W50 (costs 1200rs for 1.5L) does an excellent job with smoother gear shifts, much more refinement, almost no engine heating and good endurance for long rides. You'll also get a bit more mileage. Change this oil every 3500-4000kms. Keep your chain clean and either use Motul lube or Gear oil. I personally use gear oil and it lasts me for a good 800-1000kms. Kind of messy to clean the rear alloy while washing thats all, but i feel u can live with that. Also while servicing ask the mechanic to remove the gear lever and clean and lubricate the gear joint. Changing the stock tires, Engine oil and maintaining the chain and gear lever joint, will make your bike very refined and a much more better experience to ride. Utilise the 3rd gear upto 9k rpm and then shift the gear, then you won't feel the lack of 6th gear above 100kmph and can cruise comfortably too. Hope this helps. Cheers..!😊
FZ25 is an all-rounder.. it can do all.. City, highway n track/ ghat with proper tyres.. MT15 is a strict street bike n an R15 alternative for primarily city use n track/ghat section cornering.. MT15 is a KTM Duke 125/200 Alternative while the FZ25 is a Duke 250/ Dominar alternative..

fz25 for me- big bike feel, great for piliion, bigger engine, higher top speed, less strain on engine, 14l tank(>10l), better for touring, dual channel ABS, 1000rs cheaper(wtf yamaha?) everything else is equal or slightly better, except for weight(15kg heavier than mt15) tell me if i missed anything
Fz 25 is good but it doesn't get a 6th gear. U said less strain on engine cuz u haven't even ridden it i guess. Fz will get stressed while doing high speed cruising due to lack of 6th gear but in case of mt it's not. It might be a 155cc bike but its character is not like that. I own a r15 v3 and i always cruise at 90-100 comfortably on highways

For guys confused between the two, I own an MT-15 and i've ridden the yamaha FZ 25 too. Some say there is no replacement for displacement but thats only true to some extend as the company we are talking about is YAMAHA. See the lack og 6th gear is a big issue in FZ25. FZ25 is the cheapest quater litre bike available in india but it comes with a catch, It is the least equipped among all quater litre bikes and that is why it is cheaper. With superior technology comes cost and thats the only reason why MT-15 costs so much. On comparing with R15 V3, MT-15 is too overpriced as it misses on many things from V3. MT-15 has a hard seat and a hard suspension, if you can add extra foam to the seat then MT-15 is a good option and for the back seat thing of MT, I live in Trivandrum and i had to ride with my mom to kollam multiple times and she doesnt have a problem(i haven't added foam to my seat). Hence for people confused between the two, take a pillion and test drive both the bikes go with what your heart says. Finnally the mileage figures of MT is an average of 50 kmpl whereas that of FZ25 is 45 kmpl in real world riding conditions.

What really matters to me is a futuristic looking projector headlight bigger and better negative lcd instrument cluster with gear position indicator assists slipper clutch VVA liquid cooled engine side stand engine cut off dual channel abs should have been equipped And I don’t need extra 100 cc compromising on all these features
I own both the bikes and trust me u can not go wrong with either of the bikes with mt 15 what u get is better mileage(aound 48) with slower acceleration and with the fz25 u get much better acceleration with lower mileage(around 35) And trust me fz25 hits 100 within no time and mt 15 takes significant time to reach 100

For touring the Fz25 is amazing. Indeed you will feel the lack of a 6th gear because the 5th gear is extremely tall and you'll find yourself searching for an upshift, but you will get used to this after a week. But thats the ONLY flaw of having no 6th gear. The engine doesnt get stressed at high speeds and i cruise at 100-110-120kmph and the bike does really well and doesnt tire me out at all. The bike i used to ride does a top end of 142kmph but there were genuine owners who claimed they achieved 145. Also the engine is air cooled which is technologically a downgrade from MT15, but dont worry the engine heating will increase only a bit during the summer due to hot air but its not even a noticeable difference. Compared to the MT15 the FZ25 cant go above 142-145kmph due to lack of the newer VVA technology but the FZ25 compensates that with better acceleration and being a better handler at corners. The bike used to inspire so much confidence in me that i used to lean till i scrape the footpegs even with the stock tires..!😍 Just change the stock tires to pirelli and you'll get even better confidence. The low end torque of the fz25 along with the better ground clearance also makes it comparatively better at offroading. Basically the Fz25 is an all rounder jack of all trades and you wont regret buying it at all😊

got the mt15 last month one hell of a bike tbh good for highway traffic and good for city traffic too only problem is the pillion seat haven't really ridden it hard till now
@@mohsinmerchant4176 not really I've ridden both the fz 25 and the mt-15 for a while now and it's pretty obvious what is what the fz-25 is a glorified city bike everything about it says that the torquey lower end and the missing of one gear while the mt-15 is clearly oriented for a more enthusias rider kind what I've felt is that the mt is way more flexible than the fz25 aslo the fz25 is literally an after thought of a design whlie you can see the mt is bulit from the ground up to be a rider oriented machine .what the fz has is a big engine and dual channel abs both of them are quiet irrevlavent you get an air cooled engine which after an year you'll start to see engine complaints and the dual channel abs is genuinely good but im fine with a single channel on the front(if you know how to actually brake naked bikes correctly) so why don't you stop comparing the glorified city bike to the actual enthusiast bike here

Dude do a comparison of mt 15 and yamaha fz s v3 (2019). And for my opinion, i think mt 15 looks really better. And since im from sri lanka the price of mt 15 will surely be much lesser than the fz 25 since it has lesser capacity hence lesser tax.
@@acpravin 2 of my friends and me own the fz25. Both my friends bikes i have done 139kmph (multiple times) and 141kmph (multiple times). And on my bike i have only done upto 137kmph multiple times, but could never achieve above that. Dont know why..! Anyways i can assure you 135kmph+ top speed for fz25😄 But the acceleration from 0-100 is amazing and again from 100-120 you'll still feel the punch. After 120 it progressively gains Speed. Hope this clears your doubt 😊

Hi the pricing seems to be a bit high but the engine has good response and It’s not like the other 150-160 cc bikes. Yes single channel ABS is a bit of let down because for the price I wish they had dual channel ABS. And about buying what I feel is that if your rides are mostly solo rides then it’s a great bike. You will enjoy riding it!!

And i understand the difference of 15nm(mt 15) and 20nm torque. Even it is faster than duke 200(only acceleration ,not top speed). Its really a fun bike to flick around. Does not heat up atall in traffic(Bangalore traffic). I am not bias towards any brand , i love dominar and duke 200 but not a fan of 200ns and rtr 200. I dont have any regret buying this piece over rtr and ns. So dont spread this with out witness it. Your opinion matters.

Or else duke 200 bhi shi hai with top notch trellis frame and USD fork but heating problem is there, but it has the vibration. Go have a test ride. Both has their own pros.

3yrs ago I commented I would buy fz25, bt nw I'm here with mt15v2 in my home😅 wt a change the time made in these three years according to options the design changes, the petrol prices(120rs per ltr) at the time of buying, available options in motorcycles I finally got mt15v2 by giving up the option 250Duke.

There is no any comparations between mt15 and fz25. In short Mt 15 is a unique bike and it comes with vva tech with well refined liquid cooled engine.it will offer more features which is missing in fz25.so fz25 is not much better than mt15.
they have mt15, r15, fz25 all around 1.35-1.40lac.. but mt should be atleast 10k cheaper than fz25 and r15 should be atleast similarly priced if not 5k cheaper than fz25....Also, more variants are needed to distinguish these bikes and give variety and a bigger portfolio for yamaha
there is actually one more colour for the Mt 15 that is white with orange which cost 20k more than and the other colours maybe you can check out for that

Fz25 does 0 to 100 like no other bike. Its lacks luquid cooling coz it does not need one and thats how the bike weight is kept to minimum to allow the torque to deliver.
Full maintenance on FZ25 don't buy goo for MT15 vva technology and slipper clutch and good looking price is high but campare to FZ25 it is better choice

got the mt15 last month one hell of a bike tbh good for highway traffic and good for city traffic too only problem is the pillion seat haven't really ridden it hard till now

@@mohsinmerchant4176 not really I've ridden both the fz 25 and the mt-15 for a while now and it's pretty obvious what is what the fz-25 is a glorified city bike everything about it says that the torquey lower end and the missing of one gear while the mt-15 is clearly oriented for a more enthusias rider kind what I've felt is that the mt is way more flexible than the fz25 aslo the fz25 is literally an after thought of a design whlie you can see the mt is bulit from the ground up to be a rider oriented machine .what the fz has is a big engine and dual channel abs both of them are quiet irrevlavent you get an air cooled engine which after an year you'll start to see engine complaints and the dual channel abs is genuinely good but im fine with a single channel on the front(if you know how to actually brake naked bikes correctly) so why don't you stop comparing the glorified city bike to the actual enthusiast bike here
@@that_one_spaceman4104 I have been using it since two years and found no issues in engine with an air cooled engine.....stop spreading myths and talk on facts as FZ25 is not a fully faired motorcyle and the pillion seat is heaven for pillions in FZ 25.....MT 15 is no match for FZ25 and obviously MT 15 is Overpriced and not worth the money.....R15 on other hand gets awesome aerodynamic looks and is worth the money
@@mohsinmerchant4176 ok let me explain r15 vs the mt15 all right now r15 is a fully fledged sports bike that's why you have to basically lie down on that thing now the mt-15 is a street fighter see it's made for a completely different purpose it's not meant to go the fastest but that dosent mean it can't .it wont go as fast as the r15 but ask an r15 owner how hard it is to drive inside a city now the fz 25 is a great bike but it's designed to be a commuter bike at heart it's just so happens it has a better engine

And for my opinion, i think mt 15 looks really better. And since im from sri lanka the price of mt 15 will surely be much lesser than the fz 25 since it has lesser capacity hence lesser tax.

@@acpravin 2 of my friends and me own the fz25. Both my friends bikes i have done 139kmph (multiple times) and 141kmph (multiple times). And on my bike i have only done upto 137kmph multiple times, but could never achieve above that. Dont know why..! Anyways i can assure you 135kmph+ top speed for fz25😄
But the acceleration from 0-100 is amazing and again from 100-120 you'll still feel the punch. After 120 it progressively gains Speed. Hope this clears your doubt 😊

Hi the pricing seems to be a bit high but the engine has good response and It’s not like the other 150-160 cc bikes.
Yes single channel ABS is a bit of let down because for the price I wish they had dual channel ABS.
And about buying what I feel is that if your rides are mostly solo rides then it’s a great bike. You will enjoy riding it!!

@@superboy3761 To be honest. I own Fz25. And dont go with the spect sheet unless you own one. I know it has less bhp, but a decent torque. And i understand the difference of 15nm(mt 15) and 20nm torque. Even it is faster than duke 200(only acceleration ,not top speed). Its really a fun bike to flick around. Does not heat up atall in traffic(Bangalore traffic). I am not bias towards any brand , i love dominar and duke 200 but not a fan of 200ns and rtr 200. I dont have any regret buying this piece over rtr and ns. So dont spread this with out witness it. Your opinion matters.
@The Don bhai acha hai, decent power hai. pilion ke baare me socha hai toh you can go for it, practical bike hai, heating problem nhi hai, baht refine engine,beefy look. Or else duke 200 bhi shi hai with top notch trellis frame and USD fork but heating problem is there, but it has the vibration. Go have a test ride. Both has their own pros.

3yrs ago I commented I would buy fz25, bt nw I'm here with mt15v2 in my home😅 wt a change the time made in these three years according to options the design changes, the petrol prices(120rs per ltr) at the time of buying, available options in motorcycles I finally got mt15v2 by giving up the option 250Duke.

There is no any comparations between mt15 and fz25. In short Mt 15 is a unique bike and it comes with vva tech with well refined liquid cooled engine.it will offer more features which is missing in fz25.so fz25 is not much better than mt15.

they have mt15, r15, fz25 all around 1.35-1.40lac.. but mt should be atleast 10k cheaper than fz25 and r15 should be atleast similarly priced if not 5k cheaper than fz25....Also, more variants are needed to distinguish these bikes and give variety and a bigger portfolio for yamaha
there is actually one more colour for the Mt 15 that is white with orange which cost 20k more than and the other colours maybe you can check out for that

@@arunnprasath9015 fz25 has an offroad engine from yamaha xt250 ... just tuned to do city and highways. Thats why it lacks top end. But who wants to die at speed of 150+kmph. Fz25 does 0 to 100 like no other bike. Its lacks luquid cooling coz it does not need one and thats how the bike weight is kept to minimum to allow the torque to deliver.
