  • I hike into the woods with Molly and Goose for a winter's night under the tarp! We spend the afternoon setting up our camp and exploring the area. I cook a giant moose steak on the open fire and relax under the tarp for the evening, listening to the sounds of light rain hitting the tarp and the cracking of the campfire. We are visited in the night by a coyote.

      Yeah, it’s been a mild winter here. One of the least snowy winters I can remember! On the bright side, the canoe should be in the water a little earlier than normal this season! 👍

      @@langdonoutdoors7859 I was about to post saying the same thing. This is 2 almost snowless winters in a row, but like you said, it will soon be paddling time.

    Nice camp setup. What a feed! I have the meat sweats just watching you eat it, lol. I am really enjoying your channel. Telling us about the gear you use is great. And yes Kyle is the master knife craftsman. I have one of those Bakeapple neck knives and recently a Tuckamore on order. Take care.

    Levi wants to know what is clipped on to your belt when you were setting up the tarp. I believe you showed it before in another video.
    This was great! Really enjoyed the lessons with the knots and setting up the tarp. Of course, the dogs are always great content lol. Even though it was longer, Levi sat and watched the entire thing.
    I did think it was turning into the Blair witch project for a second when you turned on the camera when the coyote was around LOL.

    • @langdonoutdoors7859
      @langdonoutdoors7859  2 роки тому

      Haha. It felt a bit like Blair Witch Project at times to be honest. Lol. I think the thing that’s clipped to my belt that Levi is talking about is my ZOLEO satellite communication device. I carry it in case of emergency when I’m not in cell range. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! Glad you and Levi enjoyed the video! 👍

    That episode was awesome. Ur videos are improving all the time. I love this time of year when the weather is changing. Molly is doing good for 11 yrs. I have another person on you tube Andrew Camerata from the US he had a lab that lived over 15. Which is old for a lab.

      @langdonoutdoors7859  2 роки тому

      Thanks Jeremy! I love this time of year as well, but I’ll be happy once all of the snow and ice is gone now. Looking forward to getting the canoe in the water! Molly is still doing good for her age. I think the key is to keep them moving. I’ll continue to take her on shorter trips! See ya on the next one! 👍
