I think the biggest miss on this video is understating the mortgages. I recently compared a BTL in a company vs own name company intrest rate was abouth the same, however company also had a 3% product fee, also no free legals so thats another £1500 and no free valuation, another £550 you add them costs on to a 2yr mortgages (and given you then have to pay it all agin in another 2yrs) and it pretty much eats away any savings im a company....... plus the £1000 an accountant charges for company accounts meaning you really need a minimum of 4- 5BTL in a company to flatten the costs over, and dont forget you cant touch a penny of the companys money as its not yours unless you pay it to yourself via a divided so a double taxation, and lets be honest you are going to want the money at some point and no guarantees that when you do want they money out government hasnt lifted divided tax rates so you end up paying 20% company tax and then 20% dividends anyway!!!!!
Also HMRC are now carrying out checks to confirm you are spending at least 20 hours a week managing the ltd company which if you've only got a handful of properties you won't be. They are then enforcing the personal tax rates rather than the corporation rates so you end up paying more anyway. This isn't great advice anymore.
Isn't this just for when you want to incorporate a personal property to ltd to avoid paying CGT by declaring you work min 20 hrs a week on your property business? @@callumtyler686
@@callumtyler686 this is how I understood it. Even if it's managed by an agent that still counts as your 20 hours, I suppose it's because you are outsourcing the work

@@Andy5c as soon as I put figures my channel gets strike but I know first hand this bloke makes his money by selling courses to then use that money to buy the properties, and the deal that he put forward to me I might as well of pulled my pants down and signed all the profits over to him absolute joke.

Yep. It has nothing to do with how long the old company is running. You can do it a week before if needed (Obviously an extreme example)
