Great video mate, Lerderderg is by far my favourite area to go riding. Also well done on Ratcliff track, after the river crossing it’s way steeper than it looks on video
Thanks, was commenting to a few people in Blackwood yesterday about how great the riding is out that side of town, you're right about Ratcliffe it is steep, as I noted in the video the 15/44 gearing is great for many things but, occasionally falls short...next time I'll give it a bit more gas.
Hi mate. Done Ratcliff a couple of weeks before Christmas also H---ns and W-----s on the Husky Terra. That hill on the other side of the ford was a lot worse than it looked on film. Didnt expect to see a mob of goats in a conservation area.
@AndrewTurner-d1y Ratcliffe is pretty steep and rocky, finding a good line first time around was a challenge, might have to revisit...I think it was the same day, I had a couple of deer 🦌 cross my path, that took me by surprise, haven't seen deer in there before..
Well done! We took a wrong turn on a very wet day and took Swinley Track once, had a choice of 2 steep muddy hills, turned back and took Welcome track and got stuck in one of those swamps. Would be interested to see them both in the dry.
@OzADVRider about a year ago, just after getting the DRZ400E, I did the same...just out exploring and got caught out on the same tracks, now that they're drier it's a bit more fun
When I saw Diggers Track I thought this will test your suspension. I was heading the other way but still noped out of that big rock step. One part of me said 'I could make it' another part said 'You could break a bone'. So I took the side road. Some huge ruts along that track too. You are gamer then I am heading into some of that water. I've learnt to never trust a puddle in 'Lerderderderg'. Lovey sunny day. Might be worth dropping the exposure down a stop on the GoPro. Enjoying the commentary but understand you got to concentrate on the tricky bits. I'm looking forward to trying some of these tracks next time I'm out. Thanks for the video.
@gregstone7194 Cheers, was actually looking at the camera last night, considering dropping the shutter speed..bit of a balancing act on camera settings...in auto mode, if you drop one like shutter speed, the ISO goes up, then between darker shadows and bright sun there could be issues...I will keep an eye on it in post/editing. .Diggers does have it's difficult sections, including the deep puddles...I agree about the Lerderderg puddles, there are some that will swallow your bike.
Well done. Glad you tried the paradise track I mentioned a few videos before. I keep riding past pump house track so I’ll have to go up there next time
@garyyaxley7898 Cheers, It was just after your comment I went and had a look, I thought I had done it (I was wrong)..great track and some good tracks running off it...the Mount View and Pumphouse loop is a good one...appreciate the Paradise suggestion.
