Good video mate, gee, you do get and explore for a day ride.Hills, hills and more hills, don't you love the high country,we're blessed.Newmans is definitely the easier way up to Mt Terrible.Keep up the good work,ps,if it looks too sketchy when I'm solo I do the same,I don't.

That’s one big day ride, that was a couple of good tracks I haven’t used before, have a look at Nerrim logging trk on to Greys trk next time great views and gets you off a lot of big river road.

It was a big day out, but they always are when you live on the opposite side of the city...Will check those tracks out, always happy to add a track or two more.

Big day! I used to do a lot of riding around Marysville. I never did get back to Strickland Spur track though I attempted it once when it was wet and I had 80/20 tyres on a stock V-Strom. Didn't get far.
Lazarini Spur track looked great but I wouldn't of attempted it on my own either. Looks like it's about 20 k's and comes out on the Jamieson-Licola Rd.
I love river crossings but one small mistake and the day is ruined!
    Nice work cracking 200 subs!

@OzADVRider cheers, really appreciate your support over the last year...there is so much good riding out that side of town...but riding alone out there can be a bit tricky, which I enjoy, makes me think twice... I checked out Lazarini on Gaia and Google, it has some interesting topography, which would be a challenge...I have a GPX from one of my very early High Country rides...which would have taken me in from the Woods Point side...too sketchy to continue

    Hi there.
Great ride day out. I know some of those tracks and did ride the Newmans Track on my fully loaded PanAm - magnificent views up there. These are the type of relaxed rides I like doing.
You mentioned your on the other side of the city - I am Geelong based so also on the other side of the city
Would really like to join you on some of these more relaxed rides if your up for the company of another old fella (almost 56) 😀

Cheers, these rides of just going out and turning left or right are what I think Adventure riding is...the High Country certainly has its charms and dangers...I keep thinking of trying to get a few "old fellas", together for a ride...will put some thought into it, there are a couple of "older gentleman" that I follow on UA-cam that may be up for a day out...

This looks like a nice ride. Are you able to post GPx file of your ride?

Sorry, I don't plan or plot my rides, just generally go out, turn left, turn right...and as you may have seen in this vlog "turn around", in many of my other vlogs, I try to add GPS locations, these are generally added when I edit...I try to comment in my vlogs as to where I am (this helps during editing so I can add the coordinates)
I use DMD2 on my phone, mainly because of the colours, at a glance I can get an idea of the type of track (unless I had a 10 inch tablet, without my reading glasses I can't see the details)👍

@@SqueakyBoot yeah and you included some road signs which is helpful. Am definitely going to plan a ride around this area as I was camping in Narbethong this weekend to do some mountainbiking. Amazing country out that way.
