@@IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII7 I am planning on doing another episode soon, honestly cut my own hair due to corona and didnt want to do cam work with a 4 month old haircut lol
cool to have a word for these techniques, the videos are a great opportunity to reflect on it. only recently have i internalized how it can be detrimental to overcatch on ramps where you hit maxvel and how much you profit from undercatching them (eg mesa last ramp or about every ramp on surf_depths), i was hoping you would address this. maybe in a future video :) looking forward to more surf secrets
YEAR, i had to discover this channel ! I surf a lot back in the days, 4 year later i wanna improve and this video just arrive as i master the 2 previous ones ! THANKS & keep it up !
might take long to learn but it sure helps knowing how to do it right. Personaly i like to use shadowplay to record my run and rewatch it because for me personaly its kinda hard to see what i do wrong when im actualy in a run.
Great video! I'd love to know what settings you use ingame. I feel like it would make a great video showing your ingame settings and explaining your thoughts. Probably wont take much of your time and would help a lot!
Sad to see you didn't continue this series. There is a vacuum for good tutorial videos for surf. If you're still replying to comments. Do you consider intermediate like t3-5 surfers or already beyond that? Also if you ever consider making tutorial videos again, I think having more visual demonstration with vfx drawings etc would help immensely. Although I understand its highly doubtful you will ever make any more tutorial videos after 3 years.
what's better for a flat first ramp like mdrn b4. Dipping to the bottom fast or going slowly down. I've always wondered if dropping quick was bad or not
All surf movements should be gradual, so on mdrn b4 you want to only start flicking after like 95% of the ramp. So you should only reach the bottom of the ramp at the point you want to start ascending. Also remember that when you board you have like 370 units (if you are good) so you are allowed to turn much faster earlier on the ramp as opposed to at the bottom where you probably have about 1000 units iirc. So boards can be more aggressive than the pulls at the bottom, rotation should gradually become less aggressive as you gain speed in most cases.
sorry this video is targeted for people who can already do t6s, it's more of an intermediate level video where the previous ones are more for beginners, I heard that dfault has tried to explain it to you. I can come to the discord sometime though if you need help.
@@AngleCS Thanks for replying, I did ask in discord and got some answers! I think i understand now. I improved immensely today and finished a number of surf maps where i hadn't finished one ever before. A lot of that due to your videos, thanks
Is there a strategy for crouching? I see good players crouching a lot and sometimes crouching a little and was wondering if you could make a video on it
Yeah I do believe there is. Some ideas in crouching are kind of softly sciences so there are some things I do which I don’t know for sure actually helps but I believe they do. I will make a vid all about crouching soon!
nice video series. this will help a lot of people. keep it up, man.
