i only started surfing today, could only get a few basic stuff down, but as you said, it's source engine, so aerial control from other source games works similar here, so i had that as a little head start, but these videos help make more sense of what i was doing passively, and what i should actually be able to do on a basic map i was struggling to get 2/7, getting around half completed now and will keep going, think im progressing fairly ok tbh, its just soothing

i managed to beat 2 surf maps, i still don't understand how as jack would say "jump good" or should you stay in the middle of the ramp i see many other players not go all the way to the button. i beleive this is so because to get a huge jump you need to go off the top . if one is at the bottem you will have to flick far too much to reach it. despite this i feel like i don't get enough speed

that depends on the server really, momentum and ksf allow you to have the speed in the middle, you'd have to ask each server for how they do it.
