மிக உண்மை! ஆனால் யார் யாரோ கசுமாலங்களின் காலில் விழும் நாம் , இந்த இசைத் தெய்வங்களை மதிப்பதில்லை என்பதே, என் வருத்தம். அன்று மணிக்கணக்கில் நடந்த கச்சேரிகள் , இன்று நிமிடங்களாகத் தேய்ந்து விட்டது. இளம் தலைமுறையில் இதன் அருமை புரியவில்லை. இவர்களுக்கான ஊதியமும், மரியாதையும் - இன்னும் சரியாகப் பகிரப்படவில்லையென்பது கசப்பான உண்மை! இதுவும் கர்நாடக இசையையே ஆனால் புல்லாங்குழலையும், வயலினையும், மிருதங்கத்தையும் அந்தக் கலைஞர்களை மதிக்குமளவுக்கா இவர்கள் மதிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள், நம் மனச்சாட்சியைத் தொட்டுச் சொல்லுங்கள். இவர்கள் மகா கலைஞர்கள் மாத்திரமல்ல , மிகச் சகிப்புத் தன்மையும் மிக் கோர். இக்கலையை இன்னும் ஒரு நூற்றாண்டு கொண்டு செல்லும் கடமை நம் கையில் உண்டு.

ഗംഭീരം എന്നല്ലാതെ ഒന്നും പറയാനില്ല. കൊല്ലങ്ങൾക്കു മുൻപ് കണ്ണനും ആനന്ദും കൊച്ചി തിരുമല ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ഇവർ സ്ഥിരമായി നാദസ്വരം വായിച്ചിരുന്നപ്പോൾ പല തവണ കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഈ അനുഗ്രഹീത കലാകാരൻമാർക്ക് വിജയാശംസകൾ.

The Raag Ghambira Nattai, in Mallari presentation, is always reverberating
and attracts the common man ! Just visualize the Perumal , alone
without His Parivar of Sridevi and Bhoodevi , coming out of his
Abode, to give Dharshan of Veedhi Ula ! How majestic and Ghambir
would he be !
The training to recite this Raag , through Nadhaswaram, to the accom
paniment of Thavil , in a group of 4+4 should have taken minimum
learning period of one year and practice session of 6 months ! This
Raag enables the Vidwan to imagine and come out with more sanghathies. Hence a group of minimum 4 wind and percussion 4.
The Grammer is so hard and intrigue that perfection is needed.
As usual, the Vagheyakarar is unknown and we pass it on to God !
Such a wonderful creation !
The cinema musicians should come forward to tune these Krithies
to popularize!
