For simply practicing and using up old buttercream you could also use a Styrofoam dummy cake 🤔 won't mold, saves you time and money on baking, can be used indefinetley
1st...No, I would not take a bite of that cake. I'm allergic to mold & that's gross!! 2nd...Why not use Styrofoam cakes? I'm pretty sure the chances of them molding are very slim unless the icing mold OR you could take the freah cakes after you practice on them & donate them to a shelter or a needy family.
Hopefully I can commit to making a new one each month 😂 for my practice cakes I use box mix. For the ones I sell I use a recipe I found here on UA-cam!

Good idea. I just find that they’re very light and move around too much
I'd suggest you to make new practice cakes every month. That way it would catch mould and you can practice as well
Thats probably the best idea 😅
They make practice cake forms/dummies! I think they make weighted Styrofoam ones
ill have to look into that!
Yes, make fresh cake and sell at a discounted price or give away. It will build clientele.
im just worried they might be hard to sell :(
@@krissybakes22 It won’t. People will definitely want to buy.

More blessings to you ❤🙏🏽, that’s a great suggestion.
Make a new one every month and the ones that don’t make the cut for film sell them at a discount. That way you are good no matter the outcome
Good idea!
Fresh cakes and sell
Thanks!
Yup, you should make practice cakes monthly
Secondly plz share your cake sponge recipe plzzz

@@krissybakes22 haha, you'll do it
Btw thank you for the info ♥️♥️
Why don't you use Styrofoam to practice?
its too light and falls off the cake stand
Yeah, weird to use real cake for practice. We were taught on styrofoam dummy forms.
ive tried it and unfortunately it was too light and kept moving around
Or you can just do what the cake shops do and decorate a box in the shape of the cake. No need to waste cake then.
I never knew you could use a box. But where can I find a round box?
Cheap shops often have different shape gift boxes you could use.
