linkin park in the end reaction first time hearing alex hefner chester bennington mike shinoda hybrid theory album reaction hip hop head reacts
Me: Hasn't listened to this song in an actual decade
Also me: Sings all the lyrics perfectly
same lmao
same
Me with the whole album 😂
Is amazing what our brain can do.
There's no way you could ever forget. It was super simple and catchy, but also so deep and perfect. I've been listen to death and black metal for the last 15 years, but I can still remember every single word from this album.
I went to Mike’s solo show a few years back after Chester had passed, Mike sung his parts and the crowd did Chester’s. The fact that we were not just singing over Mike’s voice but taking the place of Chester’s was absolutely incredible and I will remember that moment forever!
Same I went to Mikes show down in Raleigh NC and I could not keep myself together throughout the entire show
Tiff’s Life For sure a memory I will never forget!
😢😭
epic moment !!
Reading Festival?
God it makes me feel old when he calls this song a classic
Same, dude lol. I was 18 when HT came out and I’m like damn... almost 20 years ago.
Dude. I’m almost 39. This came out in my early 20’s. I’m old lol. This saved my life.
20 year old song. Still know the words
It's a classic of it's time
Ok boomer
"I tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter"
This hits so hard on so many levels
In the past when my girlfriend broke up with me, trying to make my parents proud, losing close friends or even just with life in general
I feel you... You might give all that you got, but I doesn't matter how hard you try, sometimes it's just not enough...
It’s so relatable on every aspect of life
Absolutely, I always connected it to him talking about life in general and that ‘the end’ was death. I felt he was saying that anything you fought for or tried to do in life doesn’t matter. Because regardless of anything you got or the people you’re with you and them will end up dead in the end. And the implication is that life is meaningless. Our pursuits are futile and achievement is useless because of the inevitability of death. And if your partner doesn’t die then your relationship will before then. Those moments of bliss with a loved one are fleeting and will be taken from you. The planet will die and so will the universe. No matter how hard you try you can’t grasp a moment. It’ll be gone before you’ve had a chance to even realize it was in front of you.
@@henrylynam1589 I think that's taking it way too far and also overthinking it
"In the End" is a song that I take to mean that while life is meant to be lived, there are those who constantly question it and wonder, "What's the point?".
Definitely one, if not, their best.
Sing like an Angel
Scream like a demon
Life a man
Die a legend
RIP Chester
Is Chester Dead ? Im confuse...
@@frenchorigami6823 yes he died in 2017
@@frenchorigami6823 killed himself sadly... rip
@@frenchorigami6823 yes he killed himself in 2017 sadly.
NO
Everytime when i hear Chesters voice i cry and scream to the sky give us back the best singer that ever lived
Same. God. I miss him every day. Please bring our angel back. Please!!!!
😥
I miss him every day and wish that I could have saved his life like he did mine
@@lacyinmon1004 😭😭😭
My most favorite song ever. Saved me from suicide back in a day.
same here with Waiting For the end .
Well I’m happy you are still here.....keep ur chin up!!
Me too. Legit, I'd sit there with a toddler and think, "well if I'm gonna die, might as well listen to this one more time. " and then id just keep hitting repeat.
Same. Stay strong, never stop fighting.
Both numb and in the end are the best songs ♥️♥️ and I believe no singer has yet sang Numb , that's makes it so hard
I remember when a radio station, maybe the most popular in Perú, made a ranking of the best 107 songs of the decade from 2000 to 2010 and this song won, i was like wtf theres more people like me? That loves LP? And when they came to Perú for the first time, was in the national stadium from Perú and was amazing, se love you so much Chester
I feel you, bro.
I think In the end is mainly about the importance of time and evolution. We can see the contrast of dry, barren land turned to green all around over time. And also there are many excellent references of time in its lyrics.
Iconic song😍
gokul Have you ever seen the French traduction of that?
@@commandixnostalgia2321 nope
Chester was the Eminem of rock genre.
yes! 100%
@王陽洋 Even the hair colour and so on. They kind of resemble each other :-)
I disagree with the past tense... He still is the Eminem of the rock genre!
Why? Cuz his hair was blond? 😂
I think you mean Shinoda?
Totally brings tears to my eyes ,,,,,miss that mans creativity:(
Fun fact: Neil Peart (RIP) the drum god & lyricist from the immortal Rush was blown away by this song when he first heard it back in the day. He went on to say that to him "the way they've merged & blended musical styles into a song filled with well thought out & written lyrics & a chorus that is impactful & undeniable is nothing less than genius". \m/
3:38 exactly what i felt like after he died.
Rehearing their songs after Chester passed away, i knew the lyrics, but they just felt completly different.
THE ANTHEM.... 🔥🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻
I put my trust, in you, pushed as far as I can go,
For all this, there’s only one thing you should know
Fun fact, Mike’s verses from In the End are the ONLY time in my life I ever did Karaoke in a public place (bar to be more specific)
If you were breathing in the years of 2000 and 2001 you probably heard this song, it got so much radio play it wasn't unusual for me to hear it 3-4 times a day just driving to and from school. Though Linkin park has produced tons of bangers, many big hits, and a handful of instant-classics, this song is without a doubt their most famous.
This song gives me 7th grade wibes. I havent listened to this song in a long tine. I am 21 now
R. I. P Chester!
Good vid.
I'm 21 as well. I heard this in my 6th grade.
Goddamn the memories this brings back of everything.
This is my fav by Linkin Park ❤️❤️❤️
You need to check a relatively recent live version of this. The crowds give you chills.

I just cried my eyes out This was the first song i heard of Linkin Park in 2000
i have a friend that to this day still listen to hybrid theory non stop he also whanted to get big on youtube doing AMV's back on 2010 or 2012 i dont remenber very well.
This one and Numb were Dragonball Z amvs aaaall the way back in 2004/5-ish
One thing that always stood out to me about Linkin Park was not just Mike’s rap to Chester’s rock but also Mike’s hope and optimism to Chester’s struggles.
Yes the song refers to a relationship that went nowhere and left him used and broken, but after the rain came, it washed away all those bad times. Now they’re nothing but a memory. He’s reminiscing about a time when he thought he lost everything despite his best efforts, but he’s somehow still standing and it doesn’t matter what happened then because he’s moved on. Or at least part of him has. Mike’s verses focus on the present while Chester’s focus on the past. They’ve kinda got a shoulder devil and angel vibe going on.
The end of the video is filled with life and greenery, glowing in the warm light after the storm. This reenforces Mike’s lines. No matter what struggles you go through time marches on. Eventually you’ll gain some distance from the situation and realize you got past it. Somehow you managed.
Mike’s also pointing out that while yes he wasted a ton of time without realizing it until it was too late, hindsight is 20/20, he doesn’t have to keep doing that. He doesn’t have to stay stuck in the past now that he has some perspective. His present self has decided he doesn’t ever want to get stuck again, so he wrote a rhyme to remind himself of this whenever he’s temped to turn back around.
In the end, the only thing that matters is what you choose to make matter. So do you choose nothing or something, past or present?
missing "a place for my head"
I really love this album! thanks for sharing your reaction to this masterpiece!
He reacted to the song a little while ago and doesn't do double reactions to the same song. That's why it's not included this time
@@aron8823 oh man i even watched that video. My bad
Paper cut or one step closer
You're not a linkin park fan if you don't know this song.
You are not human if you haven't heard this SONG!
Exactly 😮
I play Linkin Park every day and sing along with Chester because I love his voice and it's the only way I will ever be able to sing with him RIP sweet soul Chester ❤♥💕💓
When I got near the end of the album first time hearing in the End, I was like Chester and Mike are going to make history with this epic song.
Years later, they sure did with this and the entire Hybrid Theory album!
RIP Chester Bennington 💜😭
R.I.P Chester 😭😭😭😭❤❤❤
This song changed my musical direction when I was in my late teens. Saw a live version and it instantly changed my life. RIP Chester.
We didn’t deserve Chester, he was one in a million , A Freddie Mercury of his time, only now that he has passed on
We realise what a true musical talent that he was .. there will only be one Chester ... I miss you man
Listening to your afterthought...... That it's different to the album........ Its ironic that Chester didn't want this song on the record........ You precisely understand the song and it's meaning Alex..... Thanks, it means a lot to understand a song from your perspective
abbas ahmed why chester didn't want this song on the record?
Grey Daze - Soul Song
Yes!
This needs to happen !
Yes! One of my favorite songs
Yes!
There are a lot of great Grey Daze songs and I wish Chester got to complete the reunion he was about to do with that band. I am happy they are remastering some of those songs for a new audience.
Back when I turned on MTV when MTV was music, this was the first Linkin Park song I ever heard.
RIP Chester 🤘
Relevant: react to the original demo of this song, Mike's part is different there, and it's sick. And yes, this is my fourth time requesting it.
Yes, react to the demo it's much different and in my opinion better as it showcases a different more unrefined version of LP.
DEFINITELY
This song is such a classic I was one of the lucky ones to ever get to a LP concert in Denmark it was "the only" Linkin Park concert I ever experienced in my life before chester died over 2-3 years ago the day he died was one of the saddest days In my life when I heard of his dead since I have been a fan since I was 12 to 13 years old and now I'm 26
I’m 26 and from the U.K. (that’s what we call context) and this was and still to this day IS my favourite song ever!! Linkin park are my favourite band (no I don’t know all the details etc) but growing up these guys brought light to my darkest days... RIP Chester I wish only you had such an influencer in your life to save you from yourself... 🙏
Minutes to midnight next man From LP 😍
4:50 - 4:57 My entire life summed up in one sentence.
It will probably be mine if I can even get a girl
I hope for one more light album to listen to
I’ve posted already on this video, but this song is a testament to just how revolutionary and innovative Linkin Park is. I wholeheartedly believe they changed rock forever.
To tell the truth most of my life I felt like Chester was screaming for help in his songs. He wanted for somebody to realize. I mean really, listen to his songs.
And yet nobody realized. Nobody helped him.
I know how that feels. I've been in this dark, depressing place myself. Unlike Chester - I had a friend who helped me and a light inside me that let me have last fragments of hope.
Those songs sound very dark if you know exactly how it feels to actually want to die.
I wish Chester was able to hear "Head Above Water" by Avril Lavigne. It's a song that may have saved his life. Too bad it came out when he was already dead.
R.I.P. Chester. Wherever you are now, I hope you've found your peace.
Best LP song ❤️ Amazing voice Legend 🙏 voice RIP Legend 🙏😢 Forever 💯
Such an amazing voice. So sad that he's gone.
Man I've watched your Meteora serie, and hoping for you to do Hybrid Theory, hardcore LP fan here. Really happy to see your reactions to songs that I love! Looking forward for Minutes to Midnight! Cheers mate!
A good song should have a commonality for every single person hearing it to be able to apply to one of your personal experiences. EVERYONE has felt this way at some point in in their life...he just summed it up unbelievably well and presented it masterfully. That’s called incredible talent.
I love linkin Park c le meilleur groupe au monde et la voix de chester et magnifique ❤️❤️
If you haven’t checked out the memorial concert for Chester, please do. The WHOLE CROWD sings this song for Chester. It’s a beautiful thing to see how he touched so many lives.
I've been waiting for this, thanks!
I lose one of my best friends to suicide when I found this song 💔 and it always gives me chills. Must listen to this live and hear the crowd join in on Chester's part
I can remember when I was growing up listening to these songs me and so many others I know felt this strange bond to the music, something that just spoke to us. Looking back at it now I understand that through his music we shared Chesters monsters and pain, hia journey was relatable and helped us all through even our own nightmares. When chester passed my friends and I took a trip to a bar and toasted to his memory. Chester may have left this world but there is a little bit of Chester inside all of us and we feel him everytime we listen to his songs. I think I will make it a annual thing to remember Chester and the impact his story and mysic had on my life.
I have been a Linkin Park fan for 20 years. I try not to cry listening to Chester's voice
It did matter in the end. I've lost count of the times this song has saved my life.
Probably countless others too! ❤️
Go further down the Linkin Park rabbit hole and react to the Collision Course songs!!
Suggestion: Breaking Benjamin-Without You
Love this song!
I feel like that should have been one of their singles. Definitely agree.
thank you for the suggestion.... I love Breaking Benjamin Without You... epic
Yes always BB!! My absolute favorite band ever!
Just do all..Breaking Benjamin 🤘
This is and will always be my ultimate favorite song of all time. Thank you for another awesome reaction🔥🔥
I didn't realize you & I were about the same age, Alex. This song helped me work thru that teenage angst thru middle & early high school. Song still hits hard after 2 decades. RIP Chester & props to Mike & the rest of the band for helping so many.
Great reaction. Makes so much sense what your saying, sometimes you hear a song when your young but without listening too it!
In the end .🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Wow! You're so damn right, when you said that you did hear it but now listen to it I listened to it again an did really listen to it!
Chester FOREVER 🤘🖤🖤🖤
Another fantastic video. Keep up the great work.
God I love this song so much
Man, thanks for the memories. This was my introduction to Linkin Park back in the day. Once I got the Hybrid Theory, I was was hooked. It's one of my favorite albums of all time.
This has been, and always will be, my favorite song of all time. Not just from Linkin Park, but by any artist ever. This song alone got me through so so much. God damn I love Linkin Park so damn much.
How many subs for a full album reaction for Minutes to Midnight and the compilation they did with Jay-z Encore
That is the beauty of song it hit everyone in a different way, I love the song bcoz this is the first song that I hear from LP and I m a big lp fan till date...
The song that got me hooked on this band, still amazing to this day
Brings me back to my 20s! Lol!! I probably hear them on a daily basis, love, love, love!!
Chester is still remaiined in our heart
Dude, talk about a trip down memory lane! I used to listen to this album every day on repeat back from school, it was my safe bubble away from the bullies. This song was the very first LP song I ever heard and dawn! I've always loved it so much.
When you do an album reaction I watch all the videos you uploaded for the album. So awesome man 🤘

Omg this still bumps!! I was 9 years old when this album came out ‼️‼️
Straight way i got goosebumps when u say this is so iconic......u r such a beautiful reactor......❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love from India❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
As an old school metal fan I tuned out of virtually all of this period, but hybrid theory is a genuine classic.
Loving all the Linkin Park reactions. If you're looking for suggestions I'd love to see you react to some Seether. Anything off the Poison the Parish or Karma and Effect albums. Or some 80s/90s era Nine Inch Nails.
Great to watch these with you as I don’t have friends who like Linkin Park
Linkin Park was (and is) my only favourite band where the members are my age. :-D
Goosebumps ....
One drunken night my nephew and I worked out this song for keyboards and vocals! Great song, once learned, never forgotten.... Still fun to play/perform! Thanks for revisiting this song.
You gotta react to the “in the end” tribute mike did live after Chester passed
Hearing this song feels like instantly bringing my guitar out and rock to this song.
Had me singing the whole time!
A classic indeed. And the first Linkin Park song I learned on my bass. The best.
Makes me cry Everytime I listen to linkin park cause Chester 😩😩😩 I miss him
Alex if u want a sad message from chester u have to listen to leave out all the rest leaves you speechless and iridescent is an amazing song u gotta listen to
This is the soundtrack of my life. My favorite song by far. Por siemore Chester !!
