It's pretty much impossible to describe suicidal thoughts to someone who's never been there. It's essentially the absolute end of your willpower. I got to that point once in high school because I knew the fall from my window wouldn't be lethal unless I landed perfectly and once in my 20s literally because the box cutter on my end table was too far to reach and I managed to convince myself not to move.
I still get intrusive thoughts, but it's easier now.
As you get older, you gain more control and more open decision making from understanding and realizing yourself yet closer to the end from that. a double edged sword. Ive had those thoughts which i think we all do. Its just the severity. Stay you and realize that its always just you and beyond this. You are as important as anyone and it doesn't matter, only your decision and experience. There is no expectation and adds up for the next part. Proud of you.

My father committed suicide and I am still trying to figure out how to deal with it. The amount of disrespect shown in Live Chat was unbelievable.

Some say Chester was murdered for trying to expose child abuse in the entertainment industry; same with Chris. I don’t really believe they were murdered but it is very sad regardless. Those guys were true legends.

All Linkin Park and Chester's social activities (charity, clear energy solutions, etc.) was pretty known and fighting against pedophiles was not included here. First time I heard of that, so I don’t believe it, but considering there’s a history of serial sexual abuse in the entertainment industry and the fact that they would destroy anyone’s career who dared to make light of it, murdering someone for it really wouldn’t be so far fetched, and Chester is probably someone who would speak out, but again, it’s hard to believe someone else did it to him especially considering the lyrics in past songs.

Hybrid Theory must have lived in my walkman cd player for about 3 years straight, sharing some time with Disturbed all through middle school and LP dominated playlists when we moved into the MP3 era and even now, when I don't know what I want to listen to, LP is where I start. As for Chester, He made his decision long before he did it. It hurts, in ways I still can't describe but he'll mean more to me than just about any vocalist I've ever come across.

21 years later still Jammin'!!!!!!! They truly did save a bunch of people, myself included. I'm still here because of them. This song was about, it doesn't matter what you do cause we're all gonna die. I didn't feel alone when listening to them. Through music I gained strength! LP saved me and Im forever grateful!

This song is about the trouble they were having with their record label. They wanted to do a rock/rap album and the record label wanted them to do a rap/hip-hop/pop album. In the End Linkin Park got what they wanted and did a rock/rap (more rock than rap) album. Hybrid Theory has now sold over 30 million copes since its release on October 24 2000. So in the end it didn't matter what the record label said because Linkin Park had the last laugh.
You should react to Chester's first band, called Grey daze. They was supposed to start the band up before Chester past away, so they have remastered their album with Chester's original voice on the song. So it's young Chester on the songs

I’ve heard from Chester in an interview where he said they received a lot of criticism from fans about how they changed their sound, especially in the album “one more light” and he said it really got to him and it bothered him. He responded to people wanting the band to return to the sound of their debut album Hybrid theory by saying “Move the f**k on” and saying he will “kill” anyone who calls them sell-outs and will punch them in the “f****ng” mouth”, but he later apologized after Corey Taylor urged him to be “grateful of what has. Now I don’t listen to Linkin parks newer stuff, the only song I like From the one more light album is “one more light”, but I’m not gonna hate on them just for changing their sound. They were the band that gotten me into rock music and will forever be a legendary band, and I will forever respect what they do even though I don’t listen to their newer stuff. It’s just really sad to know this all happened two months before and the months and days that came after until he died when the one more light album came out. 🖤😞🤘, R.I.P Chester, you are in a much better place than this.

I personally used to be suicidal around 2 years ago and on February 11,2019 I actually attempted suicide with pills and as soon as I swallowed I felt instant regret and I did eventually overdose but my mom found me and took me to the hospital and they saved me. After the incident my mom didn't sleep at all because she was scared I would try it again. My dad works a lot and he's never actually here but he called me over the phone and we had a very long talk about why it was that I did what I did and the whole call me and my dad were crying. That was when I realized I was being selfish because people actually care about me and I would just make them suffer and I don't want that so I told my mom I was willing to get help and she took me to a therapist and to this day I still go because I sometimes struggle with emotions and I want to keep them in check. Even now my whole family is still paranoid including my sister, whenever they buy any kind of pills they hide it in a lock box. Anyways, that was my story here is a message for anyone who is like me, think about those you will hurt by ending your life because even though suicide is an answer to your problems it's not a good one as well as cherish the life you have if it sucks make it better because with effort it does eventually get better even if it doesn't seem like it at the time. Please think before taking action because you'll end up doing something you'll regret.
