Jonathan Crane is a great character. I love his demonic power. His ability to work up peoples fear is very underrated but awesome! I love the Scarecrow, Nolans Batman Begins portrayed him perfectly.
The Hellfire Club! Scarecrow is my favourite batman villain but I thought he was a bit pathetic in batman begins and he tuned out to just be a puppet. I thought he was much better in batman arkham asylum and arkham knight.

why are a LOT of Batman villains former doctors/ professors/ psychiatrists? Harley, Scarecrow, Hugo Strange, Mr Freeze, Jeremiah Arkham(the 2nd Black Mask) Dr. Thomas Elliot (Hush), Dollmaker....etc !!! Im sure there's more
Tim Z Because Batman's main way of fighting villains is to use his mind. Making Villains almost as smart as Batman himself makes for a more interesting story.
Might be a weird choice, but the design, voice acting, and motives of the Arkham Knight character my be my favorite portrayal of him of all time. Very dark, very threatening, and very serious. I think they really stepped up an otherwise somewhat campy character with that rendition. Nolan did him well too.
Swagshoes68 I definitely prefer how he looks and sounds in Asylum. He looks like a corpse and sounds completely deranged. In Arkham Knight he sounds too composed and looks too military.
I just wish that Scarecrow stayed in the Sinestro Corp, I mean if Batman was almost indoctrinated into it, wouldn't Scarecrow definitely be indoctrinated?
throwing spiders on someone to cure arachnophobia would be called flooding, which is a cruel form of exposure therapy. Habituation would be done slowly over a long period of time. But awesome video.
Interesting concept for a DCEU movie. A Scarecrow solo film with horror elements. Villain origin stories seems to be the next step for comic book films lately, so that make perfect sense.
Arris, This is possibly your best episode to date. Scarecrow is one of my favorite Batman villains and you covered his story thoroughly yet expeditiously.
I've always loved the scarecrow ever since I saw batman begins and batman tas the pre 52 and new 52 origins are really interesting I love that crane is back in arkham knight and he's scarier then ever.
It's kind of hard to decide, but scarecrow is one of my favorite batman villains. I always love seeing batman in pseudo horror nightmare sequences. I really loved the episode of tas where batman was locked in arkham and he has to stop scarecrow from poising gothams water. They didn't pull any punches on those fear toxin scenes.
Scarecrow is so underrated and that is one of the many reasons he is a Badass character. The fact he has no super powers, but his power is his intellect is awesome!
@@thedude8457 well in a lot adaptations he does feel fear arkham games in dc comics as didn't he say when he got they yellow ring he said that he fears batman
Man, Scarecrow from the Arkham games is really dark and creepy, and the very concept of his character is so unsettling. I wanna checkout the comic he first appears in. *Sees cover with Superman, Batman, and Robin playing baseball* Not the cover I was expecting.
Growing up my first real exposure to anything Batman was the LEGO Batman video game. Scarecrow was my favorite of the villains because he looked so freaking cool, even as a LEGO minifig.
Scarecrow is better than any other batman villain in my opinion, yes even joker. I love how sadistic and frightening he is and his portrayal in the arkham games is perfect. He is my favorite villain in fiction and my mind probably won't change.
they should have mixed some of the last 2 story lines into one, it would make the best bio (mother looking him in tower and him getting bit my birds was cool visual) and he should always be frail (unless he takes toxin) like all scarcrows.
I don't really like him because he rather scary, living up to his name... In the Arkham games, his drug makes the game so trippy... But this episode made me understand his sad and tragic past. Thanks Arris!
Scarecrow is totally my favourite character from Batman, ever! He's just so awesome and his story is interesting. But of course Mad Hatter, Ghoul, Harley and Joker are awesome too.
My favorite DC villain by far. The power of fear is amazing, well, more like the understanding of fear and how to use it(; I think he is so underrated.
Hey I met your videos by looking for some origins but. Then I saw you. Your videos were awesome I am going to stick with you till. The very end and never stop making videos. Don't listen to the haters.
I loved how they took a chance in Scarecrow in being the major villain of a Batman game. They made him out to be a serious threat, I never liked the bag head version of Scarecrow, I love the Scarecrow from Arkham Knight. Made him look as scary as possible and he made you fear him as a villain. Besides Bane and Joker, Scarecrow as been the only I've been ever able to take seriously and a villain that could be a serious threat to Batman.
The Arkham series has an amazing version of the Scarecrow. I love the idea that he’s not an insane person but rather someone who is just very evil. But also these other origins are great as well aside from maybe the not being able to feel emotion thing. Hopefully we get to see more of him in future media!
Basically I like the story of his Grandmother nut-case it makes more sense to how he came to wanting to make everyone else suffer. I am not okay with everyone changing it around mostly cause they want to make it their own it's leading far away from what he was created from. Arkham series did a superb job on Scarecrow.
Damn Crane had a rough childhood in ALL of his comic book iterations. No wonder he became a villain. Scarecrow is such an underrated villain it's not even funny.
I just want to thank you Arris for getting me inspired to begin to read comics :D I just read Batman: Year one the other day and without getting into to much detail, I can say that it was awesome :) Keep being awesome Arris!

poiuytrewq11422 HA, nice touch with the 'almost' as smart as Bats. I dont mind an educated villain, Dr Hurt was BA in the RIP issues.
Tim Z Well if they were all as smart as Bane (Who is just as smart as Batman), then it would just get boring.

Scarecrow...one of the most underrated villains of batman.
Scarecrow fits in so well in the sinestro corps.
He was temporarily in it in the black night event
Cool It would be awesome if he was founding member.
John Alexander it would be even bettter if now that sinestro defeated his own coprs in the comics, a stray yellow ing chooses him as its wielder

There's been talk that Rocksteady could be developing another DC game.
