a tip I like to do is wrap loosely my moss poles with Saran Wrap to keep moisture in. I did it with all my plants with moss pole including my amydrium zeppelianum wrapping the stems within but very loosely and now it is rooting in to the pole and holding moisture longer.

good morning Fern! this is the perfect video for today! i need to do the same exact things !! the end of the season is sneaking up on us all !! i have so many props i need to get potted up so they can root before the end of the season !! i keep my plants outside during summer and watering them all everyday is 😅 but they’re loving it!

Wow. That outside begonia is beautiful. I used to raise a dragon wing begonia outside every year. It got so big. I miss it this year but just didn't get any outside plants.

I have repotted my fiddleleaf fig into the molly aroid mix and so far 👍 so good! I have put my crystal into that mix and next will be my monstera when the big girl comes inside..
Tree fern fibre is the bomb...my plants are loving it...been trialling it instead of moss in some of my poles.
Great to share your morning & was interested in hearing about your experiences with Tree Fern Fibre. I have been experimenting with the Tree Fern Panels & Poles - the panels have been great so far for encouraging my climbers to go up the wall. The panels are only approximately 1cm thick & easy to hang on the wall - they're great in geraniums & cabinets to.

Question for you… (new subscriber here) do you have success potting into large nursery pots, like the v. dragon scale?? I had always understood plants want to be snug, but am interested to hear your experience. Thanks!
Hi! Typically you want to go up roughly 1-2 pot sizes. The pot that I used for the dragon scale was only about 1 size (or 2 inches) bigger than the previous one, so that is a good match for it. There are also other factors that determine what size is going to be best for your plant, such as the potting mix, growing conditions (light, humidity, temperature) and the speed of growth of the plant. So it really depends, but to play it safe, yes in general you don't want to go up into too large of a pot!

they're all LED so the cost to run the lights is minimal :) our electric bill is expensive however though, yes, just because of where we live lol! especially in the winter.
