As a solo player who wants to clear end-game content like dungeons and lost sectors, your builds are a godsend. Thank you, I will be looking forward to the next post-Lightfall builds.
The new mod system has made me actually start giving Finishers the credit they deserve. I pretty much only used them as a means of deleting tough enemies, but now they can be integral means of maintaining ability loops. Stellar content as always 🤘
Finishers always got me out of a bind, especially with positioning. Got lucky a few times seeing that faint golden dot. Especially with the invis finisher for void classes
An excellent build, definitely gonna use it. As for weapon exotic, Bexcalibur would be an excellent pick since it grant void over shield to you and nearby Allie’s when blocking and fully recharges the void over shield on melee final blows, overshield increases the glaive’s melee damage when active. Excellent for endgame ad clear and survivability.
Yup, it's great! The reason I featured Lament in the video was to showcase the survivability by just running in like a maniac, but the synergy of Verglas Curve is fantastic.
@@Dorvarich I prefer using the Cryosthesia exotic sidearm with a Revenant hunter using Renewal Grasps. In PvP you can still get benefits from slowing enemies with it versus pure freezing.

Small correction; Stasis Overshields grant no damage resist. They're just a second healthbar. Void Overshields DO have damage resist for the Overshield portion, but that's 50% damage resist.
Update is needed probably, since bottom row at 4:32 is not working anymore. Can't have explosive finisher with empowered finish at same time. Unless I am missing something.
You just opened up so many opportunities for me with the empowered finish and stacks on stacks thing holy shit.... looks like I'm gonna have to go over all my builds again LOL
A great weapon i liked to pair with this build back when i ran it before it was nerfed was nezarecs whisper with demo and unstoppable force. The newer judgment of kelgorath can get the same roll but is a higher damage archetype, so that might pair well, too. It also has the hakke origin trait for bonus damage to stasis.
So warlocks can throw a solar grenade every three seconds in dps phases for a huge dps bonus, meanwhile hunters aren't allowed to throw a cc grenade after every finisher? They better nerf solar warlocks next, only fair
I regret not starting with the stasis fragments sooner, felt like a chore but now seeing your video im aking to play stasis so bad i wish i could do more than 2 fragments a week, looks like an awesome build as always
So I felt the exact same way since I was 3 fragments off on this build. I decided to do the grind cause I wanted to try it out and as you play Stasis, memory fragments I guess have a chance to randomly drop. I got 2 memory fragments to drop in strikes before I finished either quest I picked up. Idk if I got really lucky or if that's a thing, just equipping Stasis gives memory's a chance to drop
Fantastic video! Only thing I'd mention is you could use one Absolution mod instead of doubling up - with how the stacking works you should get a little more net grenade energy per orb pickup with one of each instead
I wonder how much disservice I’m doing by running shatter dive instead of touch of winter? I really like the instant shatter it provides and the maneuverability has a fun factor
Hands down on of my favourite destiny channels to help with builds (I ran the primary stasis one throughout most of last season) and so glad to see such great content coming out so quick after the mod shake up. Keeep up the great work!
Dude. Thank you so much. I am weird and hate the Gyrfalcon/Spine build. Needed a reason to get back on my hunter. I’ve always loved stasis but was so bummed when I finally got my Renewal Grasps and the grenade recharge was forever. This looks amazing. I will run the new bow… and hopefully find a grenade launcher to fit.
Salvagers Salvo with Demo & Chain Reaction is my go to! I haven't been able to run Vow, the flashing messed with my seizures so I haven't managed to get the Wave Frame. Yeah, you need to be a bit more accurate when firing/releasing vs shooting the floor but it's extremely helpful for Grenade Regen & utterly destroying trash enemies! There's a new Void Wave Frame, Harsh Language(?) I'm not sure if it can roll Demo or any sort of Explosive Perks similar to Chain Reaction, but pretty sure it can roll Repulsor Brace. You could also look at a Fusion Rifle with Resoviour Burst or the Judgement of Kelgorath Glaive with Demo x Incandescent for AOE clear.
The spire sidearm can roll with killclip/headstone as a combo so you get the crystal buffs and a damage buff. Worth picking up and it’s anti barrier sidearm

Glad you appreciate it! Usually the artifact mods are so strong and the synergies so obvious anyway that it's easy enough to modify a build to incorporate the seasonal stuff.
God damn this build is actually really well thought out. Also might I recommend headstone. I got last seasons SMG with Headstone Outlaw and it works great. With the fragment that boosts shatter damage in lower end content it clears out rooms in seconds and generates more grenade energy plus in higher end content the crystals can be utilized to prock that 50% damage resistance.
Yup, the Headstone perk is great! I'd use it a lot more if it came on a weapon I liked the feel of. I'm not sure why, but I haven't been a fan of any of the weapons that have shipped with Headstone so far. BUT Verglas Curve has like, super-Headstone and I love it.
@@Dorvarich Verglas is indeed goated. For me same thing up until I came upon that smg you used in the video. I just have a soft spot for SMG's in general.
Useful tip: if you throw the nade at your feet you can hide inside of it and almost nothing in the game can damage you Works for small crystals too if you opt for frostees after the finisher nerf

As of hotfix 7.0.0.6 the empowered finish interaction has been nulled. What other options would be available for us to still chain duskfields consistently?
Personally I still really like Assassin’s Cowl on Revenant. Invisibility is so powerful in endgame content (which is why I usually main Nightstalker) so being able to access it on Revenant is really nice. Also it really plays into the whole ice ninja fantasy.
renewal grasps is probably my favorite armor exotic on hunter (new ornament makes it even better) I am glad that they're still viable. before the nerf i never took it off. I am also happy with mod system changes because I have access to finishers that i didn't before. no only could you get a grenade recharge but also get healing or an overshield its just great i love it. thanks for the build

I need to comment something. I LOVE that Darkness is the go to subclass for any Champion. Oh, Champions on your left? Freeze them. Champions on your right? Suspend them. Definitely gonna try this build
Build is awesome. It all really works off your cape mods as thats really the main way this is viable. Amazing use of those mods. Ill def be making this build when i get on next.
About time somebody started messing around with Finishers in this game; Finishers have a nutty range, and give you quite enough DR all by itself to survive any amount of enemies while you performed the taunt. Not to mention, the energy you get from them? Nuts! An easy 70%. It's been doing wonders for my Behemoth loadout.
Agreed - I'm still surprised by how few people run the Finisher package. Infinite special ammo and infinite grenades are both really hard to say no to.
I saw at least one video today someone is biting your builds.....this was a very specific build that nobody would make unless they saw the one you posted the other day. I like the other guy but he had to get called out....Dorvarich is a beast.
I won't mention any names, but there's a certain someone who consistently repackages builds that smaller creators made a few days ago. If we're talking about the same person, I'm aware, and I'm not surprised.
As much as I love renewal grasps running a very similar build with any all around good hunter exotic works great as well, a personal favourite of mine is lucky pants malfeasance but I’m a bit weird
I basically run this except on helmet use special ammo finder with agers scepter. Keeps constantly dropping special ammo plus it melts everyone while giving shards. Its a continuous way of getting shards and keeping on the overshield with whisper of rime
Woven Mail with Sever on a target offers around 78% DR. With 100 resil, that is near this build. Yet it only requires one fragment, to gain woven mail, and your melee which can chain an entire group to debuff them all. Stasis Hunter can work, you can make it work, but it is not the best.
Soo far in lightfall, im lovin how evil stasis has become...im a titan main, but ive been using revenant a lot lately because of how flexible it is....
I have a similar build but i use Agers Scepter, the Ikelos SMG with volt shot and the Typhon Gl with chill clip and demo, nutty build (also with renewal grasps and grenade mods)

Yeah. Gyrfalcon hauberk pushed me towards integrating finishers in pve combat loop and now it feels very natural
A similar set up can be used to maintain constant uptime on woven mail through the use of the Hunter grapple and the new spodder helmet

Yes, as far as PvE goes. Stasis Overshields negate precision damage dealt to you.

yeah same to me, I think they patched it, I recomend to use bomber on the pact for max energy regen and one of explosive finisher

Banshee-44 is selling a Judgement of Kelgorath right now with demolitionist and surrounded in the tower. Pretty goods combo for this build.

also headstone/desperado! and it has AP rounds if you're a fan of extra stun and piercing. also aggressive frame sidearms just feel great
@dorvarich the lament says it also heals the wielder when dealing damage. So that was also an added survival tool if I’m not mistaken

Very similar to my Dusk Field build, only I use double grenade kick start in combo with innervation and certain fragments plus a stasis weapon

I basically run this except on helmet use special ammo finder with agers scepter. Keeps constantly dropping special ammo plus it melts everyone while giving shards. Its a continuous way of getting shards and keeping on the overshield with whisper of rime

Woven Mail with Sever on a target offers around 78% DR. With 100 resil, that is near this build. Yet it only requires one fragment, to gain woven mail, and your melee which can chain an entire group to debuff them all. Stasis Hunter can work, you can make it work, but it is not the best.

Soo far in lightfall, im lovin how evil stasis has become...im a titan main, but ive been using revenant a lot lately because of how flexible it is....
I have a similar build but i use Agers Scepter, the Ikelos SMG with volt shot and the Typhon Gl with chill clip and demo, nutty build (also with renewal grasps and grenade mods)

Edit: It's back yay! This build honestly is super powerful. Made my struggle with nightfall strikes become easy.
Edit 2: RIP again Renewal Grasp. Bungie disabled running Empowered Finish & Explosive Finisher together. Ffs Bungie 🤦🏻♂️
