Good for a quick break down but you have to clean up the vertices to get smoother edges. As is would be unacceptable.
Jup, easiest is to just add a round edges to the shape!

Thanks for considering! So I already go quite in depth in my tutorials. That being said I'm always limited in time with the UA-cam video's. They need to be as short as possible for the watchtime, which more often than not will result in a video with a lot of information cut out. For example, my Houston Kold deep dive in my Masterclass is over an hour instead of 15 minutes.

hello guys when i click on fill to add color on the shape layer it doesen't work and i don't know why.
I had the same problem and heres how i fixed it. Once you copied over your auto trace into the shape layer, you should have a path and corresponding mask in the new shape layer. Click on the path then pick-whip it to the mask then when you add fill onto the path it should work.

I dint havethe option on Animated 3D . What should i Do. I Only Have Classic 3D and CINEMA 4D.
Yeah then you need a newer version.
i can't adjust the width and height of the diamond shape individually please help I'm just new in after effects. I can only resize the width and height at the same time but not individually.
can we make 3d icons in illustrator and import the illustrator file to after effects... does that work?
