The pink wall color is beautiful. I’d paint the center of the fireplace black and then put a fireplace screen in front. If you find a summer cover that fits that would be wonderful too!

Love the color of the bedroom! I think I would put the wallpaper there . First of all the room is a soft palette for a little girls room so I definitely wouldn't paint it black. I would just add the wallpaper. No extra expense and it would flow with the room. Later on down the line if you wanted to bead board it just cover over the paper! No big deal, but you already have the paper so give it a try. That's my opinion. Looking great, can't wait for the finished product!!!! 🩷🩷🩷🩷

Maybe try a mirror inside the fireplace. That would give it dimension, especially if you could find one that is frameless and beveled. It could be hung directly on the wall. The ceiling and walls are breathtaking. The peel and stick tiles seem a little modern to me, but they are very pretty as well.

What about a little feltboard inside the fireplace and some cute felt figures to play with? A soft green felt would go beautifully with your colour pallet and a basket by the fire to hold the figures would be very appropriate? On the same theme, a chalkboard would work too ...

Just the perfect height for the moulding too, as you said. Not sure what you should do for the middle of the fireplace … but bead board would tie back into the house! I had an idea for the fireplace insert why not paint it same color as the girls room paint then do a transfer on it. I have a fireplace like that with the black thing around it. It is painted black and the inside is black. I like it, and I think I am going to add a metal roofing tile that will be painted black in the center. How did you hang the metal piece ? Mine is just propped up. I’m afraid my grand children could knock it down and get hurt. Also love the tile, and I want to do that.
Courtney, you poor thing! So sorry you were ill! Stomach virus is brutal! I just read somewhere there’s no such thing as a stomach “virus” and it’s actually food poisoning….. which makes sense. Whatever cause….. it knocks you for a loop!! Laughing at losing train of thought and catching yourself voice volume being a little too high…… regular occurrence with me!! You are not alone! Hope you had help and pampering when you were sick!!! Bedroom is looking great…. as usual. Know you need to be moving all the time but your mind and body and soul needs to stop and absorb all the love and beauty around it. Try to just “be in the moment”. Listen to the birds, feel the breeze, savor the cuddles with your children! The house will be there long after your children have moved on with their lives! I love and admire all the work you do and it’s a big part of who you are. That being said, you’re blessed with love of a family…. something many of us wish we had. I think it would look good to add beadboard to the fireplace. You could make it look like doors to open. Because you could paint it any color in future room changes. And you wouldn't have to keep changing it. Also I want to say that as wives and mothers we enjoy fixing our nest , as my husband always has referred to it. But as followers of Jesus we have to be sure that we don't let our homes become our idols. When decorating and fixing is all consuming in our lives, then that becomes an idol that we don't even realize. We had always better be sure we spend time with our Lord and Saviour. We do not want to hear the words " depart from me I never knew you. ". God tells us in Jeremiah that we are to seek him with our whole heart. How do I know this? Because I was guilty of doing that. All I thought about was decorating and getting more stuff to decorate with. Our relationship with the SAVIOUR is more important than anything else. If anyone reading this does not know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, please call on him now and ask him to forgive your sins and save you. He loves you and wants you to be a part of God's family.
The vinyl tiles look cheap compared to all the exquisite work you have done in the room. The wallpaper or a framed picture of an animal would look good inside the fireplace.

Give the fire place a coat of black paint. And then in the middle use the same tiles you used in the ceiling, but paint it the wall color.
