Idk about you, but I've always found the ballistic sounds from MW2 era installments to be terrifying. Maybe it was them mixed with the atmosphere of the game...Either way, you're right - it definitely added to the appeal.
I like how you managed to mix the MechWarrior 2 in-game Timber Wolf with the one in the art. You get what I mean right? You know, how the cockpit on the in-game one looks more like a Cobra attack helicopter one instead of a WWII bomber cockpit or whatever?
@SonofEyeaboveall Effoff not at all 🤣 at least the 3D-accelerated versions of 31CC fixed the cockpit a little...and did the inside cockpit view justice.
Nice to see some clan v clan action (presumably, unless one of these sides is spheroids or periphery folks who salvaged/bought some clan mechs) quaiff?
@@FarseerAnimation Very nice! Reminds me of something straight out of a Japanese manga/anime or something you would see in a toy store. Also, whoever was piloting that Timberwolf was either a rookie or an overexcited moron. Easy kill for that Mad Dog.
@@FarseerAnimation I also like the Warhawk. Looks to me like one of those massive mining dump trucks you see in open pit mines. Paint it yellow et voila!
I love the animation and the premise but I have to ask - Why are Jade Falcons fighting Jade Falcons? I noticed both sides wearing the Clan Jade Falcon insignia (except for Gargoyle as I didn't see any symbol at all)
Uh... the Falcons are fighting Clan Wolf here. You can see the Insignia on the Timber Wolf when it first walks into frame. There is a Kit Fox (ironically), Gargoyle, and Timber Wolf dropped in for the Wolves. The Mad Dog, Warhawk, Vixen, Jenner IIC, and already destroyed Nova are the Jade Falcon mechs. The Gargoyle ignoring the Mad Dog until the end is confusing, but that is how it shakes out. The Warhawk death scene is also a bit confusing-given how it immediately cuts to the Mad Dog-but that is implied to be the Timber Wolf’s kill via the Green Laser present amongst the blue. (Edited to fix some omissions)
@@knightiafletcher Okay, fair enough, I'm dumb xD I didn't notice the Clan Wolf on the Timber Wolf when I was watching and now that I am rewatching it, I still can't see any insignia Kit Fox or Gargoyle.
I like how he uses both MechWarrior 2 and MechWarrior 2 Mercs sound effects. It really makes it sound more badass.

Great battle, the aftermath will be a logistics nightmare.
Fantastic video!
Makes me want to play Mechwarrior 2

@SonofEyeaboveall Effoff I know. When Isaid "not at all", I was agreeing with you
@SonofEyeaboveall Effoff no problem my man
Great video Farseer Animation, thank you again!
This is the first animation in which the Mad Dog is the hero of the story and sole survivor, instead of the first blood
Dat Gargoyle looks epic.
This one was crazy!
Homie is like...really...just gonna leave me here with just LRMs
Excellent work!
Damn! The wait time for him to get picked up is gonna take awhile!
If the dropship could get there.
He's pretty much dead meat. One of his arms is gone and the other is disabled from the Gargoyle's AC 20 shot.
He needs to get into that dropship immediately or he will most likely die.

What was that robot-looking mech that got blasted in the chest at 0:37? Not a bad looking mech at all.
That's the unseen Incubus. One of my favorites from Ghost Bear's Legacy.
