I csnt even begin to imagine the amount of work it took to create all this from scratch. I edit videos and short movies as well as my gaming stuff. And as I said I do shorts and have been messing around with live action battletech short movies. I am shooting the full length film right now. Gonna take awhile. But I wish I had this skill. I basically have to green screen things and use Model mechs place them in scenes . Cockpit shots are not hard. Camera facing me and I make custom cockpit backgrounds. Layer it add in shake effects and mech movement shudders getting hit by Aito cannons stuff like that. I would have to learn the basics of even making 3d rigged models and I dont even understand mesh and that stuff. Good job. I know how hard this just of been
I have seen your post for the second animation VA and came to look at your 1st animation. I have to say I'm impressed at the storytelling. I don't think that's how chicken feet work though, a little bit more inverted would make it look a lot like a Catapult and a Jenner. I'm totally down to do some voice work for the 2nd animation!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed! At the moment I'm more hoping to go into my own original universe that will be closer in theme to 90s western mech games and scifi than what we see of current Battletech. I do love making stuff like this I just need to make a living. Don't worry though, there may certainly be more Mechwarrior 2 stuff in the future!
I suppose your favorite Mechwarrior game is MechWarrior 2... and your second favorite would be MechWarrior 3... I only could play the 3 one... however I could see a complete box of the MechWarrior 2 Titanium Trilogy edition on sale at a library... no idea why it was there, but I couldn't buy, I was 7 years old then... now I'm almost 27 I wonder what happened to that thing
3 is technically the best in the series as far as a simulator goes. 2 is more fast paced and arcade-like. Imagine 3 like Star Trek and 2 like Star Wars. That kind of difference. You can get 2 pretty easily nowadays online and play it with the program MechVM.
That is not how a quad mech would move. In fact, that is a physically impossible way to move and not instantly fall over at low speed. Alternate the leg pairs.
When walking a quad has to alternate legs. When running it must keep the front and rear together. You can see this pattern in any quadrupedal animal. ua-cam.com/video/_luhn7TLfWU/v-deo.html
Okay purely for the merc pilots blaming the train on their enemy, I love this. That's 100% what a merc would do.
these animations are super underrated
Aside from the goliath walk cycle (was going too slow for a run cycle) LOVED this. Loved the banter and camera changes. Loved the cat's movements.
Awesome mission, getting tunnel vision with a certain kill ahead is understandable, hapoens to many seemingly.
Fantastic story!
It’s nice to see some of the non-bipedal mechs getting some representation.
Some very weird Goliath leg movements, but it was good to see one in action.

That was actually quite a fun watch, mate. Well done. :D
Thanks! This is the sort of thing I'd like to use your arrangement for, so this might give you an idea of what it will look like.
its cool to se how faithful you are to the quad walkers original design from dougram!!!!!
Oh man the feels from War Planets and Beast Wars.
Лошадь сбило поездом, аххаха)))
The cockpit view is SOOOO inaccurate XD Awesome job, buddy!
Eye Above All I dunno, but whatever it was it was rectified in the 3D accelerated versions of the game.
What a fun little short. Nicely done!
When my boi the goliath appeared I smile
Just found these - Now a fan.

Another Amazing Animation!
Nice work! Reminds me very much of Mech Warrior 2 with better graphics. I look forward to more of this!

Anyone know what Sigma 3 says in what I believe to be Russian at various points?
2:03 Блин! (Damn!)
2:35 Конечно (Of course...)
2:50 Опа! (Whoa!)
@@HoverCat Thank you very much! Much appreciated.
@@ianprice1744 No problem comrade!
Good, вопрос, где нашли русско говорящего?
I had put out an ad on one of the forums for VOs and that user applied. The entire Russian speech was his idea really. I think it turned out well.
Блин! :D
