No dude you're wrong, paddle shifter does have some form of needing perfection. You can't just simply compare a paddle shifter with the color of a car. Paddle shifter is involved literally with life and death situation. Hence why F1 cars uses them, and I would have the same dilemma as you and I would choose paddle shifters or even custom design them that are similar to the F1 cars. A lot of, thought in science, safety and effectiveness has gone through F1 to implement the proper paddle shifts.
