    If you get a lot of shrinkage, and you are worried about maintaining your length. After you refresh your mini twist, put your hair in about 5 to 6 braids (over night). Take them out the next day, and your hair will be stretched !

    Hey, can you please do an update on this video incorporating all the changes you've made since then? And maybe a whole twist series.
    I've also tried to trace a video where you've said how you keep your hair at night but haven't seen one yet(forgive me if my searching skills are a bit wanting) . Bonnet etc? Could you include that in there too?

    Informative as always. Thank you. Currently learning how to care for my hair in mini twists, for length retention.

    Your mini twists are so neat! I can't wait to take my kinky twist extensions out, so that I can twist my real hair up... it's about that time.

    I just found your channel and I found it to be very informative. Thank you for time and your hard work for researching the information you had given to us natural sista. I know what it takes to research and educate yourself on this matter.

    Wow, this is great info. Thank you for sharing. I currently have my hair in a not-so-mini twist protective style. It's my first time trying out protective styling. I had no idea what I was doing, so thank you for your videos on doing/maintaining/cleaning protective styles :)

    5 bc it helps when I'm busy but if I get free time, unraveling my hair is the 1st thing I think of. The hardest thing is trying to come up with new styles within my protective style and maintaining my hair while its in a protective style for a long time :)

    I noticed you didn't use a sealant to seal in the moisture you put back into your hair. Is it necessary, or can you still do it if you want?

    What if u don't have a conditioner but a leave in conditioner

  • @naishkastfelix5152
    @naishkastfelix5152 8 років тому +1

    can we add oil in the scalp and hair after we put the leave in conditioner

    • @GreenBeauty
      @GreenBeauty  8 років тому +4

      You can add oil on your hair but, try not to add it to your scalp all the time. Other than keeping it clean, your scalp is already self-functioning and does not need any added oils or products.

    I haven't tried to refresh my mini twists because my twists are chunky and can unravel easily, but if I take the time to do them neatly I could easily get a 2 week break... Interesting

    • @SilviaDwomoh7

      yes Christina, i got them in for 6 weeks! i shared how i got them and also how i removed them! maintenance is a key!

    My hair is short about 8 inches and shrinks to like 2 inches when wet so when I have twists and i moisturize or wash it, it shrinks really bad. Is there a way i can keep it stretched?

  • @jessicaclark36
    @jessicaclark36 11 років тому +1

    Hi should you add any oils after you apply the leave in

    • @queneshiarena
      @queneshiarena 11 років тому +2

      Yes Adding oil will seal in the moisture, Jamaican black castor oil, coconut oil, EVOO, Some people even use Avacado oil. But you can use any oil of your choice, but try no to use too much, a little goes a long way. Its called the LOC or LCO Method. Liquid Oil Cream Or Liquid Cream Oil.

    • @politereminder6284
      @politereminder6284 5 років тому +4

      @@kimmybrann349 Nope. It's less about moisture and more about individual strand thickness. People with fine hair will not do well wetting twisted hair.

  • @politereminder6284
    @politereminder6284 5 років тому +1

    My hair is super fine. I am pretty sure if I washed in twists the strands would knot up and turn into DREADS for good 😢
