We had an hour to look around the beautiful town of Llanfair Caereinion, a beautiful, sleepy little mid Wales town, where we wandered and took a look at the beautiful St Mary's Church.
Llanfair Caereinion, nestled amidst the serene landscapes of Mid Wales, is a quaint town brimming with Welsh charm and allure. Steeped in history, this picturesque town boasts a rich tapestry of heritage, evident in its ancient stone buildings, winding streets, and inviting community spirit. Next up is a trip into the charming mid Wales town of Welshpool, where we take a look around the town, including the famous, Cockpit - one of the only remaining Cock Fighting buildings, that is now the Welshpool Women's Institute.
Welshpool, nestled in the heart of Mid Wales, is a town steeped in history and brimming with character. Dating back to the medieval period, Welshpool boasts a rich heritage, evident in its charming streets lined with historic buildings and quaint market squares. It was then time to continue our mid Wales adventure and continue exploring Wales and Welshpool, with a visit to the stunning Powis Castle.

Welshpool does have some charming buildings! So nice to see places maintaining their history. Powis Castle is breath taking, what a great adventure you guys had and the weather held out!

I do enjoy a heritage railway trip, I do admire all those dedicated volunteers who keep them running. The scenery was really lovely on your ride and a cute town at the end. Loved how Welshpool got its name, Australia has its bit of Wales named by the Brits as well. You'd be surprised how many young children living in New South Wales are surprised there is another Wales in the world!

Yay! You two are back in Wales for another adventure 😊🤗. And it isn't raining😮🌞. What a perfect day for a trip on a steam train 🚂. This looked so much fun guys, and can we just say, well done on the choice of snacks 😋👌. Who doesn't love a toasted tea cake. Scenery along the way was beautiful, such lush green grass 💚. Throw in a castle, and a Welshpool (love the story of the naming of btw😂), along with a couple of handsome peacocks, and you have another throughly entertaining postcard vlog🤗🦚 🏰. Don't know how you do it, but you keep us all enthralled week after week. Roll on Dorset! That looked amazing from your photos, we can't wait to watch the videos!

Plus it makes those stain glass windows look great when the light comes through. I know, we even caught the sun! It's been a while. Yep, even though Welshpool was ok, there was a noticeable amount of empty units which is a shame. It had a lovely feel to it though. Powis castle is well worth a visit. Cheers guys 🍻

So nice to look around here as we don't tend to leave North Wales ! Powys Castle is one we haven't visited but it looked great with its beautiful gardens too and that railway looked a lovely ride. Shame you couldn't get into the church with the memorial to William Morgan, we appreciate his Bible translation into Welsh. Looks like you had a good time here. Pasg Hapus ! Come on Wills … work your magic … Welshpool is a place we’ve never visited but is possibly a weekend away on our Scoots away..We’ve done Shrewsbury on the Scoots so it’s not much further on.. I can recommend a trip on the Vale of Rheidol railway from Aberystwyth to Devils bridge. The waterfalls there are epic!

Stumbled across the channel and just loved the video and subbed. (I love the railway and my family is from just down the road in Four Crosses 🙂).
The railway had a previous town section and you can near enough walk the whole route from Raven square back through the town centre to where the original station which connected to the main line was located (between Tesco’s and the new bypass).

We accidently stumbled on a cock fighting ring in Vietnam. Just in a residential area away from the tourists. Our homestay was nearby so that is how we saw it. We heard cocks crowing all the time. Little bastards started at midnight. The mildly annoying crowing had a sadly sinister sound to it after we discovered cock fighting was still a thing.
I've been watching The Last Kingdom and the 4th season ventures into Wales. They use the old names so it is Waleas (or something). Anyway they pronounce it Whale Ass. No I did not snicker one bit.... well maybe just a bit.
