Nice Orel. I also love that 1971 Pinson. That is an awesome action card. So is the FB card of Gino. I like those 1950s football poses. I like your Mantle meter. I understand slowly gathering funds for a big card. Thanks for the fun video.
Was thrilled adding the Orel and the Gino to the Frankenset. The Mantle meter does make the process of saving for a big card more fun. Have an awesome Friday!
Thanks, Hugo! Was fun picking the Orel and Gino up for the Frankenset. The Mantle meter does make the process of saving for a big card more fun. Have an awesome Friday, Hugo!
Nice pickups Brian! Love the Hershiser RC! He was a great pitcher and that season he had in 1988 was awesome! Really sweet Cepeda cards too especially the 71! That such a nice carc!
Great video and super pickups Brian. The Gino Marchetti was my favorite. It looks great slabbed. Congrats on the great additions and thanks for sharing.
Nice additions Brian. Vada has a lot of nice looking cards but those two are right up there. Hard to tell the story of 80s baseball in your collection without Orel Hershiser. You’re making nice progress with the Mantle fund.
Was fun adding two more cards to the Frankenset with the Orel and Gino cards. The Mantle meter does make the process of saving for a big card more fun. Hope you have an awesome Friday, Terry!
Pulling at my heartstrings with that oral Herschiser Brian. I couldn’t even see the rest of the cards after that as I was dreaming of 59 straight scoreless innings! Fun cards man
Thanks, Jason! Yeah, it is a fun piece to add to the collection. Nice bonus to get two more players represented that I wouldn't have ordinarily gone out to get a card of. Multiplayer cards are sweet!
Is that Thurman Munson catching on that 1971 Vada Pinson? I remember being excited as a kid opening the '71 packs and finding action shots for the first time.
Congrats on the Orel Tiffany RC. Looks great. I have a Sid Bream rookie from the same set I need to send off for slabbing sometime. It’s hard to find that one already graded. Just found your channel. Looks like a great vibe. Subbed.
Thanks man. I just subscribed to your channel as well. Looking forward to catching your videos. I always liked Sid Bream, great player and even better person. Have a great Sunday.
Great adds. And gave a like. Marchetti is one of many Colts I want to add to my collection. Great ‘57 there. Orel is one of those pitchers in the hall of very good. He was so important in the ‘88 WS that his influence went into even popular culture. (Charlie Sheen in Hot Shots part deux) I saw a college pitcher in the college World Series a year or two later pitching with Hersheiser’s exact mechanics. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. Those two Pinson cards are some of my faves. TJMaC once pointed out in his example the ball in the catcher’s mitt.
Thanks! When I compare a guy not in the HOF like Orel to a guy like Harold who is in, I don't see why he isn't in yet. Orel has him beat in career WAR with 56 to Harold's 38.8 and crushes him in career accomplishments with a CY award and WS MVP to Harold's nothing. Wild to me. Many things in life are to me though, hahaha. Appreciate you watching pal.
@@Hodges1455 well, I can’t say much for what the veterans committee is thinking, but it comes down to maybe WAR isn’t everything and intangibles are. Bobby Grich is the poster child for that argument. I do think for pitchers. There are about twenty to thirty over the course of history that have a compelling argument, but if they are let in, then why aren’t the other 30? Orel is one of those. This getting to where I’m oversplaining, but stick with me, I believe there is a bias because they went out there every fourth or fifth day vs the nonpitchers being everyday players (Baines may or may not but loosely did) but has the rep of being the greatest DH of all time deserved or not. Those pitchers have to not just be great but greatly great!
@@The_Cincinnati_Kid I 100 agree, there is certainly bias going on. When I think of greatest DHs I think of Edgar Martinez and David Ortiz. I don't give Harold a second thought. It's a shame pitchers don't get more love, couldn't agree more. Bobby Grich did more over his career to help his team win then Harold which the unbiased statistics lay out. I would gladly vote Grich over Baines any day. Helped his team win on both sides of the ball.
@@Hodges1455 the way I protest is to pick up cards of Grich, Nettles, Boyer, Pinson, Garvey etc. then I give away my Baines cards. I’m joking……mostly. 😉
@@The_Cincinnati_Kid Hahaha. For real though. I have one Harold Baines card and multiple cards of the others you mentioned who aren't yet HOFers in my PC. I'm with you.
Slow and steady for the Mantle! Great to see the progress
You know it! Thanks for watching, Alan. Hope you have an awesome Friday
Great Vida Pinson cards especially with the 71T has Thurman Munson!
Thanks, Mike! Such a fun card! Have a great Friday!
'71 Pinson is a great shot. Love the action. The vintage cards always get my attention.
I love '71 Topps cards.

Sweet Tiffany RC of Orel! I like all these pickups, Brian. It will be fun to follow your progress towards the ‘53 Mantle.

Thanks, Jim! Yeah, it was fun coming across those Vada Pinson cards. Love me some '71 Topps!
Great video and super pickups Brian. The Gino Marchetti was my favorite. It looks great slabbed. Congrats on the great additions and thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Ed! I was excited to snag a Gino for the Frankenset. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Brian! Nice pickups! I really like the Hershiser and Pinson. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Rob1

Fantastic Riley Greene and love the ‘74 Pinson and the Tiffany of Orel
Thanks, David
Nice pick ups! A Tiffany Orel H. Pretty cool! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Todd! Have a great one!
Nice cards, Brian. Can’t wait to see the “Mantle Meter” reach the top!
I'm pumped to finally get a Mantle in the collection! The payoff will be worth the wait!
Hi Brian. Cool cards my friend. Keep moving up a notch on that Mantle-Metter. Talk soon pal.
Thanks, Stephen! Appreciate the encouragement 👊
Pinson is a great looking card. Great looking Greene as well.
Thanks, Greg
Pulling at my heartstrings with that oral Herschiser Brian. I couldn’t even see the rest of the cards after that as I was dreaming of 59 straight scoreless innings! Fun cards man
Hahaha! I know, it pulls me in as well!
I found a ton of Orel cards in my old collection. I must have really liked him when i was first collecting. Cool pick-ups!
That's awesome! He was a fan favorite for sure.
Fill that Mantle meter! Love the look of that Groat
It will make the process of saving for that big card more enjoyable for sure.
Love Topps Tiffany cards, especially 1986!
Me too!
Nice stack of cards Brian. Love the Hershiser rookie card.
Thanks, Ken👊
Love the golf relic, inkster had a nice career as well.
I hadn't looked into her career yet. Didn't realize she is in the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Nice haul my friend 🎉
Thanks
Very cool sorenstam card! It also had Juli inkster on it, another great player.
Thanks, Jason! Yeah, it is a fun piece to add to the collection. Nice bonus to get two more players represented that I wouldn't have ordinarily gone out to get a card of. Multiplayer cards are sweet!
For some reason everytime someone says Topps "Tiffany" I just hear cash register sounds. 😆 I dig your Mantle meter!
Hahaha, that's funny. Thanks! Makes saving up for the big card more fun.

That's Thurman in the background of the Pinson. Love Orel! That's what she said!' but yes l love that card and set
That's so cool that Thurman Munson is in the card!
Nice cards. I always thought Hershiser would be a HOF’er
Thanks, Peter. Yeah, I did as well. I'm still hopeful he will make it in at some point.
