Hi Brian, nice 1950s additions. The Zernial is a fun and cool card. The Groat has such nice color. A preview of what we would see in the 70s when the Pirates sported those wonderfully gaudy yellow uniforms. Take care
Great additions to the collection Brian! That 54 Groat is one of my favorites, like you I love the yellow background. That Billy Pierce is a really sharp looking card!
Awesome pickups Brian! I love all four of these! The colors on the 54 Dick Groat are fantastic! Red Man cards are fantastic, big fan of Monte Irvin! 62 Topps doesn’t have a bad looking card in the set. The Zernial is a classic!
Didn’t know about the red back difference between the black and red, the more you know. Awesome Red Man Irvin too. 54 Topps is one of my all time favorite sets.
Man that Zernial is such a fantastic image. I need to get that one. Love the Monte Irvin ‘52 Redman (I actually do have that one) and I did not know that Groat still holds the scoring record against NC. Very cool. Awesome showcase man
The Gus Zernial is one of my favorite cards from the 50's. That is one I would like to get a second nicer copy of down the road. Dick Groat was a heck of an athlete. Appreciate you watching and your great comment, David
Love the 54 Groat. The Yellow goes well and live the old school logo. Digging tbe 52 Pierce and Zernial. "One of my favorite all time cards" the zernial. and Redman Irvin. Always enjoy.
Actually, I take them out of the card savers and put them into brand new card savers. I have been working through my collection trying to eliminate 95 percent of all my top loaders. The few I want to keep are for oversized and my paper-thin cards that I think might get damaged if I put into semi-rigid card savers.
As many pickups you have each week, did you have to get a 2nd mailbox? lol Great color on the Monte Irvin card. Are you building a 1952 set? Zernial was a great player.
Hahaha, not yet! I actually picked these up the Friday before the National off GregMorrisCards. They were going for so cheap I had to snatch them up. Been trying to show a handful from that bunch on the first Sunday of every month to spread them out. I don't like making long videos anyways. I've been making a video everyday leading up through election day to clear out some of my pick-ups stack that I haven't' shared and put them away in the collection. Giving collectors something more enjoyable to watch, hahaha. I'm not building the '52 set. The '53 will be the only set I build from the decade. I will move onto building a pre-war set when I'm done with the '53. But that is many moons from now, lol. More to come on that down the road. Hope you have a great Sunday, Drew.
@@CleanCheapShots Yes, I've practically just started. I less than 5% complete, lol. It's a journey for me. Probably take me 8 years, likely longer to complete because I'm factoring in getting a little distracted along the way.
Love seeing the vintage

Thanks, Barry

The '54 Topps has really grown on me. I think it was my OCD and the no border at the top of the cards, lol. There are lots of great cards in that set.

Thanks, Dave. The Gus card is a classic one from the 52 set.
Great pick ups

Very nice cards
Thanks, Peter
Nice pick ups, Brian. Do you keep yours in the card savers or do you transfer them to top loaders?
Actually, I take them out of the card savers and put them into brand new card savers. I have been working through my collection trying to eliminate 95 percent of all my top loaders. The few I want to keep are for oversized and my paper-thin cards that I think might get damaged if I put into semi-rigid card savers.
@, I appreciate the reply. I was just curious. The card savers seem to take up more room. I have cards I need to transfer to regular top loaders.
As many pickups you have each week, did you have to get a 2nd mailbox? lol Great color on the Monte Irvin card. Are you building a 1952 set? Zernial was a great player.
