I can not get over how flat it is there. Where I live in the Rocky Mountains, I have two mountain ranges to the east and north that are over 11,000 feet tall. In fact sunrise is delayed by about an hour each day. Sunset also comes early too. Here there are so many rocks, I think FOD placed all the extra rocks here when he finished building the earth. But there in Nebraska, flat as a pancake!

Three-quarters of a mile rows of corn! The scale of farming in Nebraska is absolutely mind-boggling. That's just one field and it's, what, 3 or 4 hundred acres? My wife's family in Japan grows rice and igussa (the floor mat grass) on a couple of 4-hectre (8.8 acre) plots. Tiny tractors and combines the size of a Skid-Steer. You showed us one at a farm equipment show. You're just 10k away from half a million subs. Yippie-ki-yay! 🤠

Grant and Laura, to reduce those deep ruts from you're pivots, We had the same problem on Dairy farms here in the state of Victoria, Australia . Most farmer's have installed " Boom Backs " which prevent the water getting on the tires . I have personally seen the results from installing " Boom Backs " and the rut from the pivot tires is GREATLY reduced. Another method to reduce the amount of water getting on to the tires and causing ruts is to install " Half Circle sprinkler heads" to avoid water spraying on to the tires. Gage does a fantastic job and is certainly a great asset on you're farm.

Hi, just a word from an old fqrmer of years ago. I am not sure which ways your rows all run in the corn field, however, it is possible that some hybrids of corn are more prone to blowing over in the wind, like you dealt with, and other hybrids take the wind better, like the last fields you have been harvesting. Just food for thought! I have been a Nebraska resident all my life and know what winds you deal with

Install over-the-tire tracks [see skid stear] to eliminate the deep trench cut by the pivot wheels and eliminate stuck pivot wheel assemblies. Also, fill the tires with foam to eliminate flats. Whenever you can, don't replace the broken item fix it so it does not happen again.

You must be so proud of Dad for hanging in there and teaching you the ropes.
Most females would never think of wanting to do your work.
You were Blessed again when you met up with Grant.
I wish you and Grant a great crop season I so enjoy watching your videos.

Thank you for recording your farming adventures in Nebraska. My Grandparents moved from Hendley to Aurora Oregon in 1908. Ray and Mary Martin were their names. Plus there was also a community of Martins that stayed around Hendley and Beaver City also. Don't know if you know them or not but I have heard that the winters are long and cold! I am enjoying watching your adventures on your farm. Keep up the good work.

Farming is hard work, but very rewarding. Keep building your business without any limits in mind. What you are actually doing without knowing, is building a community that grows with you.
Keep inspiring people in a good way and remain humble in your hearts.
With great redpect I tip my hat to you, all the way from South Africa.
