Homicide investigation after man shot, killed

The Georgetown Police Department in Scott County says it is investigating a homicide after a deadly shooting. According to officers, a man died after he was shot sometime Thursday night. Police say a suspect is now in custody, and according to investigators the shooting shut down parts of Washington Street and Scoggins Park around 11:15 pm Thursday. Those areas have since reopened.
