Hells yeah. If you have "uninterrupted" time, and it gets interrupted, then you didn't get that time. I started my lunch break three separate times in one day because of this.
i had a dispatcher who delighted in interrupting my lunch breaks with parking complaints and stray dog calls. .i took to belching, then reminding her where i was. .on the radio.
That was exactly my last job, it was really a 9 hour day because it was 1 hour unpaid lunch break. They only paid for 30 minutes, 2-15 minute breaks so you’re working 7.5 hours but you’re really at work for 9 hours and this just didn’t make sense! The current job has no breaks or lunches allotted, but they tell you they’re paid for your 1 hour lunch, if you can actually take it! A couple of days a week, it’s so busy I can’t take anything but a bathroom break and a few days it’s slow so you can take a break but not really. It’s all actually garbage here in the USA with job and workers really have no rights but the right to be treated like garbage, paid like crap, whilst being given no benefits or benefits you can’t afford! If wanting a job to treat you fairly and pay you like you’re not a slave is entitled, so be it! This certainly makes me want to leave this country that much faster! Everyone deserves some sympathy in this horrific job landscape, if you can’t give a decent comment, troll somewhere else!
got 1,5 hours where i learned my first job was enought ime for me to cycle home and play video games and come back. started at 8, lunch on 13:00 till 14:30 and being on my way home at 17:30 commute was 3 minutes by bike, so what? ;D
the manager is the problem here. she can't find an e-mail on her own and needs to interrupt someone on their lunch break over something that is not critical.
@MizGizma "not that critical." This, 100%. Unless you're an on-call physician or work at NASA, I can't fathom what could be so time sensitive that it can't wait an hour.
I used to have a director who said if anyone's lunch was interrupted at any time, their lunch would start over!!

This is why I leave the area when Im on my break
😮😮My boss told hourly employees to leave customer service areas while on break. That way customers won’t interrupt them.
Thats how you deal with their BS 😂😂🎉🎉
And that’s why you should have your breaks away from your work environment
how many muddle managers would throw an absolute fit at an employee who wanted their full, uninterrupted meal break?
Good stuff.
Thats what i do Veronica, and i sork construction
Dang I have not sorked in a long time.
You still at work, fam!
Also who tf gets a whole hour? You're gonna be at work for nine hours that way!
You would be very docile if...bought.

I appreciate the point these videos are making. However, I just have to say, Veronica is the worst employee ever. 😂😂😂
How is she the worst? For establishing boundaries?

Why is she the worst employee then ? Just because she stands up for herself and for her right to be able to take her lunch break in peace
