Thank you so much for your story about Modena and the cathedral. I totally loved it. I have been to Rome, Florence and Naples. I live in Texas and am 100% Italian. I loved our trip and would love to return. You live in a beautiful country! Love your videos.
It took me two days on and off to watch this video, but I am glad I kept coming back to it... love these with all the different elements you have used... and easy enough for me to follow along with... I will definitely have a go at the washing and the doodling... Cheers for Sharing Lovely... x
I think these are really fun. I like to put some of my own drawing into my journals I make, and this is a great way to do that. Weird is good. You are delightfully unpredictable, Rachel!
My husband and I stayed in Castelvetro 2 years ago at an agritourismo. We learned about making Lambrusco, Balsamico, Parmesan and took some pasta making classes. It was a wonderful experience! Can’t wait to go back! I love listening to your stories of your trips around Italy!
Dear Rachel! It may be relaxing to draw & color, but it’s ever so much more relaxing to watch YOU draw & color!! I watched the beginning 3 times in hopes of paying attention long enough to catch what you were doing, but even though my eyes saw, I was too busy listening to your tour of Moderna, to process the info into my brain!! You’re an excellent tour guide, I love all the historical & interesting little bits that you discuss, I guess I’m probably destined to be an “armchair traveler”, so I love it when you do this! My favorite, still, is the one in which you talked about San Marino! I had to laugh when you said if you messed these cards up you just wouldn’t download the video!!! Now that’s very sneaky! I think they’re gorgeous, but I just don’t think my try at this would be as lovely as your leaves are! Your washi tape really is wonderful & it’s often the little detail that was missing!
I’ve been very ill and I’ve missed your voice and projects so I’m going to have a lot of binge watching to catch up 🥰. I had a horrible operation, ended up in intensive care, and it’s been a long recuperation. But I’m back among the living!
Rachel, I love these. With each one, you added some color, drew a clean line plant, and with every element you added, they all became true works of art. Your color combos and proportions are simply elegant. I think these will become my favorites. Every time you say, I'm just making it up, I recall my mother, during the last ten years of her 94 yr life, saying: "It is either true, or I made it up." Be safe and well. Hugs from SC USA.
Fabulous! Thank you for the picture at the end as it allowed me to see the details better. Love your stories about Italy as am not likely to ever be there myself. Hugs and blessings, 🤗🇨🇦❤️
Oh that’s is so cool that you can see the print. My markers are similar to OHuhu. The little corner when you stamp just shows it’s authentic. Yep that’s it authentic. That’s the story just stick with it.
Thank you for taking us along on your trip to see your friend!--I would love to someday go to Italy. You did a wonderful job on your botanicals! I can tell it brought you joy!!--I know it brought us all joy!! You were certainly in your element. I would love to see you do more botanicals! Thank you!
How naive of you lol where do you think the money comes from? The people went ahead of their own accord meaning not church sanctioned...that was until after it was done! God hears the prayers of the lowly ❤ Happy crafting 🙂
I love to doodle, do it all the time when my hands are free. I never thought about it looking like "art" though. You make it look so easy and it looks so NICE. I must try this. Thanks for sharing. I learn so much from you.
I feel like I’ve just had a vacation. I really needed a vacation. Thank you Rachel! I love it when you tell us about your travels. It’s really fun for me because I had ancestors there in Ferrara, Tuscany, and Rome.
I can't even draw a stick figure but loving your drawings and markings. I've mad a lot and they turned up decent after following your lead for a couple days. Thanks. -
I love these. So interesting how the markers change color values on the different paper. Lots of great inspiration. Your challenges are so fun to watch and join!
Just finished working on my tags for the night or should I say morning. It’s 1:00 here in North Carolina. I am addicted to your channel. I love your free style creativity and willingness to give it a go. Thank you
The historical past of this beautiful cathedral built not by the C. church but the ordinary town's people. The find thought to be of a dragon bone those centuries ago. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Happy fun Rachel. Tags look good. Listening to the historic info of Moderna is very interesting. Things one wouldn't think about. Hope you took some pictures.
I enjoyed your telling of the cathedral. I recalled this from college. It was to a town's advantage to have, not only a church, but a relic or some other holy object. It drew pilgrims who brought in their trade and kept the commerce alive. I love art history! I am making collage fodder with paints and doodles on book pages, myself! LOL You have some great ideas! Thank you! Su
Love your modena story. Basilica San Zeno in Verona has those same carvings around the main entrance depicting what one does during the months of the year. There is also a whale bone hanging under the archway from Piazza Erbe going into Piazza dei Signori. I've never been to Modena. Ill have to put it on my list. :-)
Oh, I loved this! So good for me, I don't have a lot of patterned papers and rubber stamps so this was so much fun to watch. I can use differen pens! Thanks for this inspiration! 😍
I found all my watercolor pencils and my artistic pens I’ll be trying this tonight. Stop saying it might look terrible. You know we adore all you do. 🙄🥴
I did mine last night!! It was so much fun! I want to try little ones! I haven't finished my up. When I do I'll post them too! I've been enjoying the weekly challenge. I think I might want to start from the beginning when it starts getting colder here in Ohio.
These came out really cute! I turned off the video, grabbed my supplies and started doing it with you. My doodles stunk so I changed back to collaging but it was still fun working alongside you! 🍄🍂🍁🍄🍂🍁🎃
Yes! Very cool and different and inspiring multi-use. You’re really developing your own style between these and the washi’s you made. Maybe even put out some rolls of washi to sell? I think they would be fantastic.
Such fun with tags and doodles!! I want to make some. What words were you using for the plain black pen? It's not you, it's my hearing. Fascinating story about the church! Like how they drew the Bible stories. Wonderful video💕🐬hugs
Loved it and love the flexibility to change your mind many times and not get too bothered! BUT.. PLEASE tell me what your monster eyelet gadget is called and anywhere I could get one. Sick of struggling with cheapo ways of adding eyelets. Thanks 🙏
