You were correct about the car being Nissan-powered. It only says Cosworth on the wheel because the electronics, as with most LMP2's nowadays, are provided by Cosworth.

Excludos That's a major reason why they've implemented the "stages." They add incentive to drive aggressively for extra championship points which lets every track have a "big one."
*Sigh* It's so sad comparing how good NASCAR actually was in the 90s to how bad it's gotten lately. Even the competition between manufacturers was fierce back then, and the commentary wasn't mindnumbing.
I'd love to see all the IMSA DPI cars in PCARs or just anything, I find them more interesting than the global LMP2s

Yeah the sound for that broadcast was excellent. Really well done. Unfortunately the live race show on IMSA.TV last night was a little messy. I think they tried to overlay the TV soundtrack over the IMSA radio soundtrack and for the first 25 minutes the commentary was being drowned out. Tuned it out eventually but the quali broadcast sound was just lovely. Almost surround like. Out of curiosity I may check out the race replay when it's uploaded on YT to see if they corrected it.

Dude I live nearly at least 1.5 miles from downtown and whenever they're racing I can here them faintly yes but still I can hear them
Also,this is an old spec LMP2 cars and the new spec cars,such as the Acura DPi of JPM,are much quicker

I love racing at long beach with indycars at night.
Jimmy, i do either Long Beach or Daytona road course enduro races every night. I use LMP2 cars as the DPi class, LMP3 as the LMP class, GT3 class as the GTD, and GTE as the GTLM class. It is pretty damn accurate and i do it almost every night. I used to play on PC but a hurricane took out my computer so now im on ps4. but if you have a ps4, let me know if you want to join and ill send you my psn.

Actually, IMSA did run GT3 (GTD) last year and it was a 45 ish car race total. it just depends on who wants to register.
They didn't do it again this year because how much of a shitshow it was last year

It was less than that I think as it was 55 at Daytona so I doubt their were only 10 extra cars.2 ORECAs,2 Fords,2 PCs,their are 6 already-not counting stuff like the Land and Grasser GTD cars
There's only 2 street circuits now from what I know.
I still can't get an LMP3 round that last corner.

In my opinion that is a great street circuit. Probably the old one (F1 in '79 for example) was even better.
The Montjuic was the BEST street circuit for me.

In my opinion, the mid-90s layout is better. (Slightly Mad, if you're listening, make this a thing.) Not saying that the current layout isn't good, just, the mid-90s layout.... (Just don't remind me of the Formula E layout...that was just...why did that abomination to motorsports even exist?)

I did a 100 minutes around this track with these cars (with also gte cars) and this was one of the best races i’ve done, not talking about the results but the mental side. Such an awesome experience (made better by the fact that damage was full on, so i had to be as fast as possible but also conservative). I love PC2❤️.
(The pole lap, not set by me, was a 1.09,924)
Such a great version of the track, great amounts of detail. Nice to see the AI have improved a bit, although they still behave a little oddly at times but most AI racers do! :) An extra bit of info. IMSA did run all the classes around here previously (DPi/P2, GTLM and GTD). However last year they had a huge GT pile up at the hairpin on the last last. So to reduce numbers and hopefully incidents they removed the GTD cars from the field for this year. So only GTLM and Prototype for 2018. A little sad I suppose but understandable. The race last night was great fun, lots of action.

To be fair, JPM set pole in the Acura DPi, and as the laptimes and race results have show, the DPi machines are _not_ equivalent to the P2s.

I ran a little less rear ARB to help on turn in, but otherwise the setup is quite close to stock (I didn't have much time to edit it)
