that story hit me deep as well, i can't believe after that they connected and he shared he was the guy that set that up. and know how genuine shia is and how his performance art is legitimately trying to connect people. he's trying to heal people. he's a great dude.
S0APMANWU7 Rogan has dogged Shia in multiple instances on the podcast in the past, particularly for the “he will not divide us” thing. Which is a shame because I have a a lot of admiration for both of them. I think Rogan has some misperceptions about Shia and I think they’d have a great discussion on a podcast.
@@bailey9fuk because Rogan is a reactionary. People say he's dumb, which I don't agree with. He's actually quite smart, and I enjoy his podcast, but his politics are garbage.
I think Shia's one of the great actors of our Gen, and that people will appreciate him later on in his career. Would love to see Shia interviewed on both Mike Tyson and Joe Rogans podcasts. Highly talented and misunderstood like most of the greats!
i loved (and will always) love him in I-Robot. And, also, in The Greatest Game Ever Played. i think he's sorta getting well known, now, getting better, because people are hearing/understanding his story. he was so down-to-earth, and real, in those films. it must have been really hard to film, "Holes", because in that film, he was an outsider looking "in" to other teens' troubled lives (as if he had no idea what it was like) but, in reality, Shia has had just as many struggles with authority figures, drugs, alcohol, the law, etc. than any of the other kids/actors out there.
That’s crazy I grew up in south central and grew up around all those areas. Played at slauson park with the pueblos for years cool to know he’s trying to do good things out there
Pretty sure I just heard him diss two of the best musicals...maybe he should listen to the lyrics of those musicals. Wicked does speak to people of today, but it’s not fed to people in a manner that everyone loves. Hamilton does as well (and it’s genius...my mom didn’t think she liked theater/musical theater and she now does, thanks to Hamilton), plus it address senseless gun violence in parts. That said, this school is genius ❤️❤️❤️
@@leslieblanco3536 who said im triggered? Yeah im white and proud of it you dumbass never said otherwise xD but God forbid a white person gets dreadlocks you all lose your shit xD

I agree with Shia that theater is not relevant to mainstream society, but I disagree that the reason for that is because its too old and white. I think the problem is that its too liberal and experimental because its a haven for misfits who see the world as oppressive so all they ever make are plays talking about how oppressed and outcast they feel.
You guys are really fucking dumb. Good art has always been, and will always be progressive. Reactionaries lack creativity, which is why their politics are garbage. Probably has something to do with your enlarged amygdalas.
if you go to community theater and watch them put on something classic like les mis or even shakespeare or something it’s actually lit to see bc it’s that beautiful collaboration magic shias talking about. not just experimental stuff.
@@ripley2995 I agree, I like when people take old plays and make them relevant much more than a contemporary one about "whats happening right now" because there is usually nothing novel about "right now" its always a rebuke of the Trump administration, or Bush administration or whatever republican bogeyman people can conjure up to blame for their problems.
Always has something interesting to say and he tells it so well. He’s just him.
I have always loved Shias heart. I thank God that he seems to be in a healthier space so his good heart can be the most affective.
