So nice to watch you again Linda, congrats on the other 4999 who've subscribed! Your sweaters are looking great. My hands get an extra boost of moisture with a good rub with plain coconut oil, I always have it in the kitchen so whenever I need it I steal some for whichever body part needs some softening and hydration. Keep up the podcasting, we all love knitting along with you!
Happy spring!!! I’m a hairdresser as well as a fiber artist who lives in the Midwest, so my hands can get super dry! I was recommended the perfect fix from a nurse friend of mine who notice how dry my hands were. I told her my issue with most hand creams is when I wash hair or my hands as much as do in a day it washes all of my lotion off! So my recommendation is “Gloves in a bottle”. I hope you give it a try and helps you as much as it’s helped me! I LOVE and appreciate ALL of you videos ❤ enjoy your spring knitting and your time at your up coming fiber show!
Congratulations Linda! 5000 admirers! It’s so much fun listening to your adventures. I need hand cream desperately but use Vaseline like cream with gloves at night. Waiting to hear more. Thanks for sharing with us.
wow, I love the idea of being one of 5000 happy people to knit in your lovely presence. Love having you here in my knitting corner! My hands are superdry and rough and I use a mix of olive oil and sugar to make a scrub once a week. It leaves the skin silky smooth. just rinse with warm water and pad dry. Hugs from Germany!
I love a lotion bar scented with essential oils and they are so easy to make yourself. Love the colour of your Mabel sweater, it really suits you. As for spinning, if you have too much twist, slow your feet down and don’t hold your fibre in a death grip, let it in to that bobbin!
Loved this episode LINDA!,, So much inspiration,,love UR sophie head scarf!,,, SWEET!! Looking forward to spring in southern ontario,,,!!!still snow!! Congratulations on UR 5,000 subscribers,,,! Elaine🌷🌷🌷
Yay! Congratulations Linda! You did it girl and you keep on doing it! 🤩🤩👍👍👏👏My dermatologist told me to run my hands under warm water, shake the water off but do not towel dry them, then rub Vaseline into your hand until it is absorbed. He does this every night before bed because of the constant handwashing and his hands aren't dry. I prefer to use Aquaphor Healing Ointment, Advanced Therapy instead of Vaseline. Both work wonders.
Congrats Linda on your 5000 subscribers! It is so fun to hear you chat about your projects & love for all things yarn related. I don’t know that I have a favorite hand balm, but am currently using a Lavishea lotion bar. There are lovely scents which I enjoy. ❤
Hello again, Linda! Every time I watch your channel I giggle, laugh, smile, and think, I wish we lived closer, she’d be pretty fun to hang out with. I love the way you jump right into projects and try new ideas, how free you seem to be at your knitting and everything turns out beautiful. I love your Coco Knits sweater too! Did you know that TKGA will be having a Zoom conference and the end of the March, I think, is the deadline for the lower cost. The teachers from TKGA will be teaching numerous classes and your level one class may be taught or even some advanced classes you can take. Then all the classes, even the ones you didn’t get to watch, will be available to you for six months. Those might be a good source of info for you too. As for your quest for hand lotion that does not affect our wool, I am interested in that too so I have no suggestions but I’m going to read the suggestions below. Thanks for request!!
thank you Tamara....I did not receive information on classes at the end of the month but I will check out thew website - this could be very helpful - THANK you!!!
Hi Linda, i am so happy whenever you have a podcast uploaded! I used gardeners eucalyptus scented hand cream, works great and helps my hands when knitting and gardening. Its a green tube.
Congrats on 5K! Your sweater no. 14 is looking gorgeous. What a stunning color you've achieved with those two yarns. I also love your scrappy projects! It's clear you have an eye for color even when you aren't being picky.
I live in Colorado, and it is very dry here. I use coconut oil. Sometimes I just use it plain, and other times I mix it with some vitamin E and essential oils. It has been the best solution for me.
Hi Linda, so nice to see you again in your colorfull sweater! When my hands are dry, which happens often, especially after working in the garden, i rub them with olive oil with a little sugar or salt. Really helps! Here in the netherlands there's also spring in the air; the birds are very busy and singing. Enjoying it! Take care, warm greetings, Dinah
thank you for sharing Diny!...natural remedies are wonderful. We are headed to the Netherlands in early September - in what part of Holland do you live?.
As a quilter for years, I have been dealing with dry hands for a while now. My go to's are; Pond's dry skin cream - Rich Hydrating - Facial Moisturizer I get it but I love to use this on my hands too. Smells nice and absolutely helps the yarn to move easier with no snags. Another is Love+Leche but find the lotion bar to be a bit heavy feeling but still good. And finally, I use Sally Hansen Vitamin E Nail & Cuticle oil. Helps keep my nails nice and provides for healthy moist hands as well. To heal my hands, I use O'Keeffe's Working Hands hand cream. This leaves your hands a bit tacky so usually use this at bedtime to help prep my hands for the next day's knitting fun. Another trick I found to help the yarn move swiftly is if you are knitting in the round I use a 2-3 size smaller needle on the left side. The side which is feeding the stitches to the process. This trick also helps to loosen up my tension a bit. Works great. 👍👍👍 Good luck.
Congrats Linda! 5k! Love your visits😁. For my dry hands and my skin overall. About 3 years ago I switched to Lush cosmetics. Their products are all natural. I am 62 and for the first time I have no skin issues. I use their shampoo bars, conditioners, soaps, lotions and deodorant! Their products are pretty much made from plants you can eat. The banana bar was the first product I bought. I used it on my hands and my face. It’s amazing. If you want a lovely lotion start with Sleepy. It says it’s a night cream I use it day and night. They store can be overwhelming. They always give samples which is great! Seriously I good go on an on.😂It’s made that big of difference for me. No more dry hands!!
Wow congratulations on reaching 5000 subscribers Linda, that’s brilliant. I find that Palmers Coconut Oil Lotion with vitamin E really helps when my hands are dry. I find you so inspiring and want to try out the patterns that you are knitting. Thanks for another lovely podcast.
Congratulations on reaching 5k subscribers! 🎉🙌🎈🎊😍 One of my favorite hand creams for knitting softness is Beeman’s Pure Goat Milk Whipped Body Cream. It is soft, silky, and luxurious all in one and feels so good in the colder months when hands become perpetually dry (even when not knitting). So glad that you are enjoying the Shirley Bryan Deconstructed Fade. Another of my favorite addictive yarns is Timber Yarns “The Marls”. Proceed with Caution: Highly Addictive 50 gram twin skeins with the coolest bands of colors. I am working on a set of wristers using it. And after that, I may use one of the other marls as half of a Musselburgh hat and the other half could be a Shirley Bryan fade. So much fun! And gives me my color fix. Enjoy the Spring! Looking forward to your next episode! ❤🌈🧶
Congratulations on 5K! I have thoroughly enjoyed knitting along and getting to know you through the podcast. That is fabulous that you are doing the master knitting program. I have thought about it a few times but haven't jumped in yet. You crack me up regarding the spinning! I hope you have a blast at the festival!
Congradulations on hitting 5000 subscribers. Being a Healthcare provider I suffer from permanent dry hands from all the hand washing. I find that Green Beaver - extra dry skin body lotion works the best .... no greasy residue left ..... great for knitters 😊
Hi Linda, congratulations on reaching 5k subscribers 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. I use Cereve hand and body cream, it’s chemical free. It nice hear your vacation home is almost ready, light at the end of the tunnel. Happy crafting!
Thanks for sharing your knits and thoughts! Spain home sounds so exciting - - look forward to more updates! Number of years ago was intrigued with Master Knitters program but found the prospect daunting - - I just want to knit! Happy you have gone ahead with the program and will be tuning in for further details of this as well as the upcoming spinning demo!
Congrats! 🎉🎉🎉 Love your podcast. Believe it or not, good old fashioned Bag Balm. Great for healing cracked skin. So gentle we used it on baby’s bottoms in the hospital.
I try to wear gloves when working in the kitchen, and then I use whatever hand cream I have close by. My cuticles get dried out and catch on the yarn when I'm knitting. Cuticles oil or Aquaphor helps with that problem. I really do enjoy your podcasts.
5K subscribers - Congratulations!!!!! I enjoy knitting while watching you. I don't have a special hand cream but look forward to everybody's suggestions.
Congratulations Linda! Not surprised that your channel is so popular - your enthusiasm and interest in fibres and knitting is contagious! I live in Southwestern Ontario's snowbelt so my hands do suffer during the winter. I have just discovered a new handcare product called Murchison-Hume Velvet Glove Hand Cream and the scent which is Australian White Grapefruit is very subtle and barely noticeable. It has kept my hands moisturized during the extensive knitting of the Skiddaw pullover in Cascade 220 this winter! Looking forward to watching your future podcasts.!
thank you for watching Pat - lovely pattern - I like the cabling and the a-line of this pattern....are there short rows to drop the front neck line - looks a bit too close the the throat for me so curious....
@@forthefunofknit5322 thanks so much for your comment. No short rows in the pattern - interesting though it does not bother me at the neck at all yet my hands did become dry during the knitting during the winter months. I was wrong on the name of the yarn - the yarn I used was actually Cascade Heritage Sock and is fingering weight though the pattern calls for Aranmore Light I believe. Looking forward to your podcasts. Thanks again!
Hi Linda it's Iris Stewart. How great that you have 5,000 subscribers !!! Thank you for the generosity of your giveaway. I use Bag Balm all the time. On feet, lips or hands. If using on hands.....just use a little and rub it in good. Originally used on chapped cows utters.
Thank you for the visit whilst I am weaving my first tea towels this morning. I hear you about dry hands! I’m in very dry Alberta. There is a cream made in Calgary called George’s that is great for non crafting moments, but otherwise CeraVe absorbs quickly. What an amazing opportunity to learn so much through the Masters Knitters course. Not sure I have the patience to tackle such at the moment, but it is now on my list. Look forward to the tidbits you learn and share. Weaving in the ends with duplicate stitch will be a first try for me on the Vella Vest I am knitting at the moment. Now to find some cava.😊🥂
My hands have been ridiculously dry too! I use a sugar scrub and massage it into my hands for a minute or so, rinse and then put on a rich coconut lotion. The scrub is so easy…1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup unrefined coconut oil (although I’ve also used olive oil in place of coconut oil) and 10-15 drops of lemon or lavender essential oil. You can tweak the amount of sugar or oil to fit the consistency you like. :) Oh, and I love your Mable sweater!
5000 subscribers! Congratulations! I keep a tub of L'Bri Pure and Natural Intense Body Butter in the luscious Mandarin Fig Scent near me whenever I am knitting. I find it to keep my hands moisturized without being greasy with a heavenly smell bonus! Happy. Knitting.
Congratulations 🍾. Always enjoy your podcasts…learn something every time. I’ve used various products, but currently have small tubes of CeraVe non-greasy healing ointment slipped into my various project bags so no matter the WIP, I have something if my hands feel rough. Particularly enjoy your Masters Handknitting updates…🎓good luck!
Congrats to your well-deserved achievement! 'So enjoy my knitting hours with you! I've been using Tuft- lanolin rich hand & body balm for my knitting hands. Luv the blues & greens or merlot & cream yarns. Thankful for your generosity in giveaways... thank you!🥰💕🧶
🎉Congratulations! I treat my hands with o'keeffe's working hands cream and prevent drying by washing my hands with cold water. Greetings from Finland!🇫🇮
I love Surgeons secret. Out of Grand Rapids, I love this cream it does not stain fabric or yarn….my husband loved it because his finger split when it gets to dry. I also use their foot cream on the heels of my feet….. So happy to hear you made the 5K mark, ❤❤❤❤Love your pod cast have been watching you from the beginning…..
You say you get a kick out of people wanting to spend time with you knitting, we say we get a kick out of spending time with you knitting! I made the Oakhaven Tee last year out of a cotton linen yarn.. nice lace panel. I took Kelly and Noelle's recommendation for hand lotion which is the Ontario, local to them, The Joy Soap Company. It's more of a salve consistency than a lotion but I like it. Vanilla Sunshine is the one I'm using this month.
My hands are dry as well during the winter. I use Keep It Handy avocado hand cream by glow on 5th beauty. Your projects are fabulous and I wouldn't call you a novice knitter at all! Those row counters are great. I found them about a year ago and they are great for larger projects.
Hi Linda, I just found your podcast a few weeks ago. What caught my eye was your beautiful hair. I have watched several episodes and I love your enthusiasm for yarn. I use CreaVe' moisturizing creme or Gold Bond healing hand creme. I'm not much of a sweater knitter, more of a sock knitter. Congratulations on 5000 from Souther California USA.
Hi Linda, that was fun as usual! Congrats on the 5K followers. I always jump in the deep end, life is more interesting that way and I always say if it doesn’t kill you or harm anybody ….,go for it. I came back to knitting mid 2020 and I watch Suzanne Richardson and Roxanne somebody?! And also a few videos from nimble needles. They seemed very educated and the ladies like old fashioned school teachers and I thought, yes learn the basics then you know what rules to break 🤭😬🤣 Good luck on the course it seems super interesting, I’m not very good at following rules or having to comply these days (we’ll ever really!) so I look forward to learning vicariously through your adventure. I laughed when you said it’s getting warmer and it’s 15 to 16°C when it’s that temperature here in Australia where I live I’ve got my winter woollies on and I’m bitching and complaining that it’s too cold. Perspective hey? 🤭😆 Spain is more my comfort zone! Nice to hear it’s moving forward 💃 Happy knitting, Karen
Congratulations on this awesome milestone! My daughter gifted me with a tube of Codi New York, not sure where she got it, but it has green tea in it, and I love it! It goes on smoothly, and it smells amazing! I think the term you are thinking of in the swatch is rowing out. I am a Continental knitter, and always tighten my purl stitches. Some people say purl stitches use more yarn, but it's actually the way we purl that uses more yarn. Hence I purl tighter. Good for you for going through this!
I love watching you and seeing all your beautiful knits. Congratulations on reaching 5,000 subscribers. I use Eucerin Advanced Repair hand cream twice a day. It absorbs rather quickly and is not greasy at all. I live in a dry climate (Arizona) and it works great.
Hi. Your pod lives up to its name. So much fun. And very impressed that you're tackling the master course. I use a dead sea minerals hand cream. I love how it absorbs right in.
Congratulations! I use a splash of olive oil and a bit of sugar to scrub up my hands. Then I use almond massage oil on my hands. For daily, I use Nivea lotion. It is least greasy before I work with fibers.
I hear you about the dry hands. Mine are bad right now too. I can’t say I have anything great I use though. I just tend to put the green Gold Bond on before I go to bed at night. I’d probably have better luck if I put it on more often in the day. I just did a swatch with my oldest sweater quantity of yarn. It’s yarn I got at KnitCity in 2017! LOL. I just couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do with it and have changed my mind a million times over the years. Little Big Knits podcast is having a KAL using scraps or really old stash, so it got me thinking about this yarn again. It’s a fingering yarn and I’m going to hold it was a mohair and make the No Frills Sweater. ❤
a no frills seems to be a very popular, wardrobe staple so a good choice - let me know what you think of the pattern as I am tempted! As always..._ LOL
Congratulations on hitting 5000 subscribers! I really enjoy your podcast and never miss an episode 💜 I may not be much help with hand creams because I just use my bath and body lotions. I love the #4 colors but honestly they are all beautiful! I love that you involved Patrick in your monthly mystery sock yarn choices. So fun that you also get the surprise each month❤
Hi Linda Thank you for sharing your striped sweater and your plans for steeking, I’ve been wanting to do the same, the Flax is a great pattern, I’ll be watching to see how your steek went. Also with Sock Heels I found the Fleegle heel is a great one very easy and just recently found the Magic heel it’s a quick 2x2 rib.. Congratulations 👏 on your Now Over 5000 Subscribers ❤
Thanks for another great podcast. I love hearing about your knitting adventures and you really make such beautiful things. I use an avocado based cream for my hands, which isn’t too greasy and it really works. And when i need something even stronger than that, i use olive oil. Straight out of the kitchen. It helps immediately and i always have some around. I really recommend it. See you in the next podcast ❤
I love to watch your podcast and get inspired by your projects. Your pink sweater is great. I have the coco knits book and have been complaining about my sweaters not fitting me. I guess it's time to pull out the book and learn how to get a sweater that fits, thanks for the reminder. I have found the RENEW hand cream by Melaleuca has been the best for me, I live in Northern BC and we have cold dry winters my hands love the Renew hand cream
I’ve found that I cannot knit with anything containing silk during the winter months no matter how soft my hands feel. Just cannot stop the snagging! My go to handcream is Neutrogena Norwegian formula at night just before I shut down the light to sleep. It’s somewhat greasy and will leave fingerprints on your book if reading. During the day, I use Tuft Woolens hand & body balm which contains lanolin. It can be used while knitting as it doesn’t transfer to your yarn.
Congratulations on reaching 5K subscribers! I love watching your podcast while I am knitting :). I really love the Kiehls hand lotion with aloe vera and oatmeal.
Congratulations on your 5000 subscribers. Thank you for continuing to share your knitting with us. CereVe cream works for me. (Costco carries) It was recommended by my dermatologist. Hand soap can make a big difference, CereVe and Cetaphil hand soaps won’t dry out your hands like some of the perfumed brands. Keihls also has a nice hand salve.
Congratulations on reaching 5,000 subscribers-very well deserved 🎉. I knit along to your chitchat. So glad that your new condo is almost ready. My go to hand cream is l’occitane
Congratulations on reaching 5K subscribers. I love listening to your knitting adventures and misadventures. I use Cerave Moisturizing Cream during the day and Jergens Cocoa Butter at night. Thank you so much for sharing!
Congrats on 5k followers! Whoot!! I have a sample pod of Dove nourishing Body care Beauty Cream that I found in my Xmas stocking (I prob picked up for myself). I put these small samples in my project bags. This Dove cream is wonderful and smells so clean, that I hope transfers to my knitting. Non greasy. I’m gonna buy more! Happy knitting friends 🧶🤍
I love looking through your WIPs! I just use whatever hand cream is nearby! I don’t want to get up once I’m in the middle of knitting! At this moment it is Midnight Afterglow by Bath and Body works! Lol
Congrats, Linda, on your milestone!!! I have tried and liked a wide range of hand products, but my favorite is a beeswax bar. I suspect there is a Canadian maker somewhere who produces something similar. All those minis are gorgeous, as is that whole skein!! :)
Congratulations Linda on 5K subscribers‼️🎉 It’s ALWAYS a pleasure watching and getting inspiration from you. Best of luck to you on your Master Class 🎓 A Knit Shop friend finished it and said it wasn’t easy, but oh so worth it. 😊 If you want a great hand cream, my Dermatologist recommends Cer’ve. It’s really works, and If you want scent, a drop or two of your favorite essential oil!
Hi Linda, yeah to you for hitting 5K subscribers! I enjoy watching your podcasts and thank you for all of your time you give for us. I considered doing the Master Knitting course but didn't pursue it. Good for you for tackling it, I know it.can be a challenge. Regarding hand cream, I am a gardener so in the summer I use Gardener's Dream hand cream. It contains essential oils of lavender, peppermint and others scents so it's not for everyone if you have fragrant sensitivities. At oher times I use CeraVe Moisturising Cream or Aveeno hand cream products. Take care Linda and thank you again.
Thank you for another great episode! I suffer from dry hands in the winter as well, I find that Gold Bond aloe lotion works good for me. Good luck with your master knitter program!
Wow, 5K! Congrats with that Linda.🥰🙌🏻 I love to use the hand creme of Rituals (don’t know if that brand is available in Canada); it smells so delicious and my hands feel so soft after using it. What a great idea by the way to let your husband pick yarns for socks.😂 And last but not least: thank you for sharing my projectbag again, I really appreciate it.🥰💕 Tonight at 7.30 Dutch time I will sell lots of new projctbags.
@@forthefunofknit5322 hahaha that can happen… the sale went very good, thanks. Can’t wait to see your next podcast with all your great knitting projects. Happy knitting and indeed also looking forward to seeing you soon🌷
Congratulations on this milestone. I also have dry hands and use Eucerin, the original version. It is thick but absorbs nicely and quickly. Use it often, your hands will be relieved.
Congrats on 5,000 subscribers! I am not at all surprised. I've followed you from the very beginning and your adventures/misadventures in knitting never disappoint. I can use any hand lotion, but my husband has found great relief from No-Crack. Minnesota winters are very tough on his hands and he thinks this moisturizer is the best for dry, cracked hands.
Another enjoyable podcast keeping me company as I knit. I signed up for Sock Madness on Ravelry in February, for the first time. The patterns are challenging. I use handmade by me hand cream, which has oat milk, rose wax, cocoa butter, lavender, and a few other things that are good for the skin.
Congratulations on 5k subscribers! Always fun to watch. I don’t have a hand cream recommendation, but adding a room humidifier has been a game changer.
I enjoy your videos so much. It’s nice to find a kindred spirit that is unapologetic for one’s yarn collection! You might want to try CeraVe products for your dry skin. The products are dermatologist tested and readily available at Shoppers Drug Mart. I find expensive products are not always the most effective.
Congrats on 5,000! 🎉. Your sweater you are wearing is lovely and looks so good on you ! I suffer from dry hands and two years ago I found this company. It’s a home based one in St Thomas Ontario The Joy Soap Company . They make a lotion that is all organic when you put it on it takes a minute to soak in but boy it’s amazing ! I have a tin beside each chair I sit in and on my bedside table. It’s really saved my hands and the scents are amazing too. I guess you can tell I really love the product !😂. Take care
Hi Linda. I use for my hands Everyone Hand Lotion. What I particularly like about it is it moisturizes but doesn’t make it hard to knit after a few minutes of putting it on. One thing I don’t like about most lotions after putting on is trying to knit and it makes it difficult. So… I recommend Everyone Hand Lotion. Happy knitting 🧶
In my notions bag I have Tuft Woolens Lanolin Rich Hand & Body Balm, bought At Maryland Sheep and Wool, and Utopia Bath Ltd. Restorative Hand Salve, bought at NY Sheep and Wool! Love your podcast!
Congratulations Linda, I alway look forward to you podcast always fun and interesting. I have a tip for your hands...go to your kitchen, pull out your bottle of avocado oil, pour a bit in your palm and rub away....sinks in surprisingly fast. I like to put an ounce of the oil in a small bottle and add essential oils of lavender, frankincense and myrrh, 2 or 3 drops of each. Makes a great face treatment as well.
Frist of all congratulations for 5.000 subscribers it's amaizing. It's always a lot of fun watching vlog . You can really tell how much fun you are doing the handicrafts. You literally sparkle with enthusiasm for your project and this enthusiasm is literally contagious. Keep it up! You asked for a recommendation for your try hands. And I can say from my own experiance the Clarins Hand and Nail Treatment Balm is a real game changer.
Hi Linda, congratulations 🎉on 5 k. I am sorry I can’t help with hand lotion, I just use whatever is in the cupboard. But I have had to put hand cream on as well, as I felt my hands were snagging the wool too. Happy spring! Melissa.
5000 subscribers! Wow! Yes, dry hands are a winter normal down here in Montana. My favorite cream is unavailable-it's made locally. Waving Bear Bath Company. It was a gift, I use it sparingly. Otherwise, I just use whatever I find. Loved all of your knits. I love your podcasts, you are someone I would have a great time sitting and knitting with.
Wow 5K subscribers! Congratulations!!🎉 I work at a school and constantly wash my hands, as well as use hand sanitizer a gazillion times a day. Hey kids are germy!😄 I use lotion made from goat's milk to moisturize my hands.
Congratulations Linda. I use a lotion my daughter gave me for birthday. Love beauty and planet. Small tubes so easy to keep in notion bag. Beautiful yarns. Thank you
Congratulations on 5,000 subscribers!! And I can say I knew you back when you were "Nena Knits"!! So happy for you. My hands have always been very dry and my favorite hand cream is Aveda Hand Relief cream. Not inexpensive but so worth it There is a travel size if you want to give it a try before committing to the full size. Also has a lovely scent. Happy knitting (with smooth hands)!
Hi Ruth - sorry for the late reply - hope you are keeping well...Udder seems to be a popular recommendation so it must be good - take care and happy Knitting. - Linda
5000 subscribers wow Linda, congratulations! I am not surprised it is always so fun to see you and follow your knitting journey. The hand cream I love to use is Herbacin Kamille.
Hi Linda, A BIG CONGRATULATIONS!! I love all your makes - they are beautiful. I think O’Keefe’s is good for dry hands in the winter. All the best! Sheila.
be sure to use natural soap not the commercial types, handmades are so much better for your skin, then a nice natural vitamin E cream ; loving your knitting adventures, so much fun
Congratulations!! I always enjoy knitting while watching your videos. As for hand cream I use many different ones that smell amazing but at the end of the day good old Vaseline works best. Probably sounds crazy but just Vaseline out of the jar does the trick for dry skin, makeup removal and lots of other things too.
Congratulations 🎊 When I want to pamper my dry, overworked hands, I use Utopia Bath Ltd. ‘Best Hand Crème Ever’ made of sheeps’ lanolin in the lemon verbena & spearmint scent. Luxurious!
I did my first Coco sweater a few months ago and it did fit well. But I’ve found the Melange sweater by Petit Knit and it has a similar upper back construction, but much easier to follow. It is also fitting great. Love your podcast!
🎉🎉on 5,000 subscribers! So enjoy For the Fun of Knit podcasts. After I started watching I went back to your first podcast and watched them all. It has been fun! I love Mary Kay hand creams. Have used them for years. Good luck on the spinning!
Thank you so much!Will Try!
I love a lotion bar scented with essential oils and they are so easy to make yourself. Love the colour of your Mabel sweater, it really suits you. As for spinning, if you have too much twist, slow your feet down and don’t hold your fibre in a death grip, let it in to that bobbin!
Loved this episode LINDA!,,
So much inspiration,,love UR sophie head scarf!,,,
SWEET!!
Looking forward to spring in southern ontario,,,!!!still snow!!
Congratulations on UR 5,000 subscribers,,,!

Thank you so much!

thank you Tamara....I did not receive information on classes at the end of the month but I will check out thew website - this could be very helpful - THANK you!!!
Thank you so much!
Love the colour of your Mabel sweater! Such an inspiration to another grey haired lady!
Hi Linda. Enjoying your show and your color sense. Love the brightness of both.
Aveeno is my go to hand cream.
@@forthefunofknit5322 I live in the eastern part of the Netherlands, near Nijmegen
As a quilter for years, I have been dealing with dry hands for a while now. My go to's are;
Pond's dry skin cream - Rich Hydrating - Facial Moisturizer I get it but I love to use this on my hands too.
Thanks for sharing!!
Hi Linda . I'm so glad so many people are finding your fantastic podcast. I use lush peppermint foot lotion. It moisturises without being sticky.
I really do enjoy your podcasts.
thank you Barbara - happy Knitting. - Linda
When my hands are in really poor shape, I use O'Keefe's hand cream. Thanks for such fun projects on your podcast!
Now to find some cava.😊🥂
thank you for watching Carolyn...enjoy the Cava!
Oh, and I love your Mable sweater!
Thankful for your generosity in giveaways... thank you!🥰💕🧶
thank you for watching Deborah - happy Knitting!
Your Cocoknit pink/red sweater is fabulous on you, great color, great fit!
So happy to hear you made the 5K mark, ❤❤❤❤Love your pod cast have been watching you from the beginning…..
thank you for watching all these years Judy! Hope you are having a wonderful spring.
Congratulations 🎊🍾 Grape seed oil with an essential oil added for smell is great for your hands or feet 😊
Vanilla Sunshine is the one I'm using this month.
what a pretty pattern Joan.I love vanilla scent too. Thank you for watching.
Congratulations on 5000 from Souther California USA.
thank you for watching Candee!
They seemed very educated and the ladies like old fashioned school teachers and I thought, yes learn the basics then you know what rules to break 🤭😬🤣
Good luck on the course it seems super interesting, I’m not very good at following rules or having to comply these days (we’ll ever really!) so I look forward to learning vicariously through your adventure.
Nice to hear it’s moving forward 💃
Happy knitting, Karen
Congratulations on this awesome milestone! My daughter gifted me with a tube of Codi New York, not sure where she got it, but it has green tea in it, and I love it! It goes on smoothly, and it smells amazing! I think the term you are thinking of in the swatch is rowing out. I am a Continental knitter, and always tighten my purl stitches. Some people say purl stitches use more yarn, but it's actually the way we purl that uses more yarn. Hence I purl tighter. Good for you for going through this!
thank you for continuing to watch Marg - Happy Knitting!
Hi Linda
Thank you for sharing your striped sweater and your plans for steeking, I’ve been wanting to do the same, the Flax is a great pattern, I’ll be watching to see how your steek went.
Thank you for another fabulous podcast. I really enjoy them.
Thank you so much!
Hi Linda, I just searched, as I have watched many mention, and for hands, tuft woolen, in a stick form. Take care Melissa.
Congratulations on 5,000! I love Gloves in a bottle. Your sweater is beautiful! 😍 ❤
Thank you so much!!
The color of your blue sweater fourteen is gorgeous!
I love looking through your WIPs! I just use whatever hand cream is nearby! I don’t want to get up once I’m in the middle of knitting! At this moment it is Midnight Afterglow by Bath and Body works! Lol
For dry hands my beautician told me she uses a good amount of Vicks and puts white socks on when she goes to bed. Works great.
If you want a great hand cream, my Dermatologist recommends Cer’ve.
Wow, 5K! Congrats with that Linda.🥰🙌🏻
I love to use the hand creme of Rituals (don’t know if that brand is available in Canada); it smells so delicious and my hands feel so soft after using it.
What a great idea by the way to let your husband pick yarns for socks.😂
And last but not least: thank you for sharing my projectbag again, I really appreciate it.🥰💕 Tonight at 7.30 Dutch time I will sell lots of new projctbags.
hi Ingrid - my pleasure - would help if I got the date correct!!! Hope the sale went well - Happy Knitting and looking forward to seeing you soon. :)
Wonderful!
I use Tuft Woolens when I am knitting. I have enjoyed you from nearly the beginning. Thank you for sharing.
In my notions bag I have Tuft Woolens Lanolin Rich Hand & Body Balm, bought At Maryland Sheep and Wool, and Utopia Bath Ltd. Restorative Hand Salve, bought at NY Sheep and Wool! Love your podcast!
Thanks for sharing!!
Makes a great face treatment as well.
thank you Mary - will give it a try!
That flax sweater looks fabulous.
I really love Burt's Bees Hemp Handcream. I'm rough on my hands too and it is really soothing and non greasy!
Oh yes! Inspiration to knit the Flax and use up some scraps! Thank you! And Burts Bees hand cream works great.
You are so welcome!
Thank you
Congratulations 🎊 Your Knits are beautiful! For years our family has used Avon's Moisture Therapy hand cream. It is inexpensive and works great!
Thank you so much!!
I keep a tube of Kamill in my locker at the golf club and in my knitting bag. Works well. Congrats on 5K.
My daughter’s hand were awful. We tried lots of creams but Udder Cream was recommended. Amazing. Congratulations. So well deserved xx
Luxurious!
thank you for watching Laura...the ingredients sound Devine!
Well done Linda ! 5000 subscribers 🎉 I use CeraVe cream , started using it only a few weeks ago and wow what a difference !
I did my first Coco sweater a few months ago and it did fit well. But I’ve found the Melange sweater by Petit Knit and it has a similar upper back construction, but much easier to follow. It is also fitting great. Love your podcast!
thank you Celi...will take a look..sounds interesting. Thank you for sharing!
5,000 followers!! yay!! Congratulations. We love your podcast. Kim
any chance you are heading to Maryland Sheep and Wool?
🎉🎉on 5,000 subscribers! So enjoy For the Fun of Knit podcasts. After I started watching I went back to your first podcast and watched them all. It has been fun! I love Mary Kay hand creams. Have used them for years. Good luck on the spinning!
