Love your summarizing on everything Apple. Precise concise and well explained. Can't wait for you to go into detail for newbies like me switching from Android to permanently now Apple when the 16 pro Max models are released. Saw WWDC and I'm excited for what Apple is doing. By far and away in my opinion it's just a better phone
Appreciate that! Will do lots of in-depth tutorials once iOS 18 and iPhone 16 is out this fall! I also have this video which walks through everything iPhone for first-timers in great detail: ua-cam.com/video/pXvd8HNAdAk/v-deo.htmlsi=xGKTNGZYYwqnlUqy
I didn’t buy my R1 to be able to give up on apps, I bought it solely to integrate the LAM with my NAS software so I still have hope that I’ll be able to do that at some point. I haven’t even unboxed my R1 yet.
Considering that Rabbit was an actual scam and Humane was a bad idea from the beginning, I wouldn't say that these were ever alive in the first place 😅 Recommend watching the two Coffeezilla videos about the Rabbit scam.
The Humane AI Pin is effectively dead on arrival, but the Rabbit R1 might still have a chance if it pivots to a software-focused strategy instead of hardware. This shift could help it survive the impending surge of AI integration in smartphones, including the anticipated advancements from Apple Intelligence.
I was just thinking about canceling my R1 Order (which still hasn't arrived). The R1 was masquerading as a good AI gadget, but instead, it was "3 IF Statements in a trench coat."
What if a hidden benefit to Intelligence running on M-series chips & A17 Pro chips is that a lot of people that have older i-devices & Intel Macs will be getting a fully operational & debugged Intelligence/Siri bc they waited for all of the fan-peeps to run out and beta test iOS 18’s AI features? Then if Intelligence/Siri doesn’t stick the landing (gosh, I *really* hope they do), it won’t be such a blowback & disappointment like Siri has been for the past 12y. The majority of the people that aren’t used to using AI/robot assistants will get an incredible experience when they update their hardware. Bug or feature 🤔…? Anyway, big fan of your stuff.
While I like the idea of new companies coming onboard with great new systems, this is a reminder that the real value is in the trustworthy and known companies, like Apple. Obviously startups do sometimes succeed, but it is extremely hard to get a real foot in the tech door. My Palm Pilot and my Blackberry are in the same box.
We are getting to the point where we have to put lot of our time to understand these new features and by the time you get there, you will have more to explore😂
No, they won’t. A friend bought the Rabbit. It never did much of anything. And as here, he can’t get the updates. If these things did what they were supposed to do, then maybe, just maybe, they could have some sort of limited future. But as he shows, they don’t. I haven’t seen a single review of any of these that said that they were worth much of anything.
Yep, as expected. I feel sorry for those consumers who caved in to Humane's AI Pin & Rabbit R1. People just need to wait for Apple to come out with their plans & THEN decided from there. In true Apple fashion, they conquered. Apple is not known for being the 1st, they are known for being the best & Apple Intelligence did just that. Kudos to Apple.
@@aguzman222 It points to the culture of releasing beta products as 1.0 products... which is widespread. I think if they were more upfront about this, or if ALL companies were upfro
@@beardfm I think even here, the fact the Humane isn't integrated is a good thing. But it's execution faltered. It improved much, and if they can lower their price, I hope it gets a second chance.

Can we agree that they can’t die , since they were never“living ” platforms
I don’t agree. Samsung and Google have a head start, is backward compatible and they have the resources to develop it further. What Apple has developed is great but it requires you to upgrade your phone.
Seems like an unfortunate cutoff, but we explain the hardware reasons behind it on the latest episode of Primary Technology here: ua-cam.com/video/JhgSCnTKz_g/v-deo.html&si=Nfhjnsq1E6ABo5x2
What wasn’t clear from the WWWC presentation and countless videos on the subject is where Apple Intelligence will be needed for each feature. My Mac Mini should be able to use it and so should my Apple Watch, but not my iPhone 15 Plus. So which features are relevant?
I’m hoping they killed another gadget as well with iOS18. It will be nice if I no longer have to carry my Garmin InReach satellite messenger device while hiking.
If you have an iPhone 14 or newer you'll be able to text via Satellite! iJustine posted as demo of it yesterday and she said her Garmin will be staying home from now on.
But i mean we just taking apples word for it that their AI is going to be good? Sounds like the pre- humane & rabbit hype again... did we not learn from thy mistakes
It needs to be tested for sure, but just the fact that the on-device Apple Intelligence will be able to index your email, texts, calendar, etc., puts it leagues ahead of the ai gadgets
Load of rubbish Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra beats your crapple phone 📱 hands down your talking about stupid gadgets not Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra who wins hands down 😂😅🤣👎
Remember when everyone was banging on MKBHD for literally trying to SAVE PEOPLE FROM THESE SCAMS??
That was like one guy. everyone else was on the same page.
Great video, thanks Stephen. I’m in Australia so do you know if we will get Apple intelligence at launch or if we will have to wait?
I believe it's U.S. only at launch, but Apple hasn't specified the larger roll out
@@beardfm Thanks Stephen
I agree with you. Eventually, Watch will replace all of these wearable AI devices.
ai wont come to apple watch for some time. It'll still be extremely useful on iphones for the meantime though
To the surprise of literally no one.
fr
Yeah, except those 100K in pre-orders and over $20million “invested” lol
Just wanna know what editing software do you use? Because the editing is simple but effective NGL🔥
Final Cut Pro! That's it. I have a pack from MotionVFX (MKBHD's actually) for zooms and transitions, but that's it!

Great job of summarizing it all. So none of these features are available in the Betas yet, correct? Keep up the great work.
As a beta tester, I can confirm that they aren’t yet as of iOS 18 beta 1
Apple Intelligence will be available for US English in the next betas before public release, but not atm. (current date June 14th 2024)
Thank you! And no, Apple Intelligence isn't on any of the betas right now. I imagine that will be later in the summer, maybe closer to public release
Thats a lot of info.. thanks man!
You're welcome!
I use the Starbucks shortcuts to order from my HomePod all the time, it’s amazing. I can’t wait for this be more commonplace in the future
Nice! Forgot to mention you can literally just shout out to homepod!
I didn’t buy my R1 to be able to give up on apps, I bought it solely to integrate the LAM with my NAS software so I still have hope that I’ll be able to do that at some point. I haven’t even unboxed my R1 yet.
That would be cool! We'll see if they continue to update it though
Damn i didnt know Shortcuts could automatically order food for me. Thats kinda cool. Wish i knew how to make THAT shortcut….
It's limited to certain apps, but which are you looking for, I can try and build one!
Email summaries will be great.
You can also achieve this right now right Shortcuts! ua-cam.com/video/__ISEHpXgHI/v-deo.htmlsi=HoYJHk9nr9HCqOgV
im wondering if apple is going to get something like google lens or visual lookup for the camera!
It kind of already exists! I show it here: ua-cam.com/video/ES9xG6eZFWQ/v-deo.htmlsi=l2jN8vsA99--_ThP
Humane AI Pin is amazing wdym. Have you updated to 1.1.4
As an app developer, the app intents system is so much better than the weird and creepy LAM. They're also really easy to implement.
And they're legitimate ways for Apple Intelligence to interact with an app!
Considering that Rabbit was an actual scam and Humane was a bad idea from the beginning, I wouldn't say that these were ever alive in the first place 😅
Recommend watching the two Coffeezilla videos about the Rabbit scam.
I need to check those out! And it's true, they were zombies to begin with
The Humane AI Pin is effectively dead on arrival, but the Rabbit R1 might still have a chance if it pivots to a software-focused strategy instead of hardware. I do hope they continue trying, the hype meant there's def interest
An informative and handsome guy! 😍
🙏🏻 appreciate it!
I was just thinking about canceling my R1 Order (which still hasn't arrived). The R1 was masquerading as a good AI gadget, but instead, it was "3 IF Statements in a trench coat."
Honestly, I'd cancel

I got very close to ordering a R1 so glad I didn't now!
Yeah, not worth it

My Palm Pilot and my Blackberry are in the same box.
I was a huge Palm fan back in the day too
We are getting to the point where we have to put lot of our time to understand these new features and by the time you get there, you will have more to explore😂
Ideally these will be good enough to "just work," but we'll see!
OMG ! All de.a.d already 😮
Insane that investors put money into these DoA devices
There was *a lot* of hype, which seems not pretty unfounded
@@beardfm Yep, fortune seekers=)
They were DOA
True, this just sealed the deal
Of course, these gadgets will have use for people who have older Apple devices and don’t plan to upgrade them anytime soon.
Possibly, but even then many of the advertised features still don't work well, if at all.
No, they won’t. A friend bought the Rabbit. It never did much of anything. And as here, he can’t get the updates. 😂 Crapple is never the best they are always the worst 😂 that's why they are crapple 😂
What surprises me it that a large number of smart people built these things - they should have known this was going to happen
I think it was trying to take advantage of the Ai hype, but failed
Wow you sold me on Apple better then those guys in Cupertino
haha hopefully it was insightful
@@beardfm certainly was, It always is.
You are awesome
So many people miss that the point of AI Gadgets IS to have these features NOT tied to our phone.
Everyone knows - the problem is that they cannot do even what they promised they do
That's why I was bullish on Humane's Ai Pin. I truly wanted it to succeed, and you can say it's the platform's fault for not allowing its integration.
@@aguzman222 It points to the culture of releasing beta products as 1.0 products... which is widespread. I think if they were more upfront about this, or if ALL companies were upfro

"Zombies" if you'd like 😏
Imagine actually buying one of these.
Apple Watch needs a better neural engine and a camera
Honestly would like a camera on the watch too
What about people with older iPhone like 14 will not have ai
It's true, I'm hoping at least the base model iPhone 16 will have 8GB RAM so it can run Apple Intelligence
The other ai apps work. Just rather have apples. Apple may change something
I don’t agree. Samsung and Google have a head start, is backward compatible and they have the resources to develop it further. What Apple has developed is great but it requires you to upgrade your phone.
Samsung and google doesn’t have any actual AI. They use the buzzwords but they are not actual AI.
The way things are going the future youth will be living in an illusion a face world people are already human interacting is becoming a myth
7:45 so basically 90% of the iPhone users will still have dumb siri. is that it??? :(
Pretty much...
A16 or lower devices.
The new Siri requires phones with 8GB Ram or higher (A17 Pro or higher).
Seems like an unfortunate cutoff, but we explain the hardware reasons behind it on the latest episode of Primary Technology here: ua-cam.com/video/JhgSCnTKz_g/v-deo.html&si=Nfhjnsq1E6ABo5x2
Apple intelligence won’t be doing nothing on my iPhone. I have a iPhone 13! Maybe the Rabbit could be useful?
Check out the countless negative reviews and very little positive ones
What wasn’t clear from the WWWC presentation and countless videos on the subject is where Apple Intelligence will be needed for each feature. My Mac Mini should be able to use it and so should my Apple Watch, but not my iPhone 15 Plus. So

double negative moment
I am an Android Guy so I will stick with Android and when that totally Awesome Galaxy S25 ultra comes out I will have the best AI !!!!!
also killed iPhone 15 and below...😂
Pretty wild people buying new iPhone 15s today won't get Apple Intelligence
AI Gadgets killed themselves at birth
Ofc those devices are dead its too bad no one purchased the ai pin
Yeah maybe it knows doordash is definitely not for you.
I’m hoping they killed another gadget as well with iOS18. It will be nice if I no longer have to carry my Garmin InReach satellite messenger device while hiking.
With iMessage and SMS support via satellite I think it may be safe to ditch it

But i mean we just taking apples word for it that their AI is going to be good? Sounds like the pre- humane & rabbit hype again... did we not learn from thy mistakes
The difference is we already own iPhones. What do we need to learn? To not spend money on brand new competitors with connections to crypto.
It needs to be tested for sure, but just the fact that the on-device Apple Intelligence will be able to index your email, texts, calendar, etc., puts it leagues ahead of the ai gadgets
making stupid products like ai pin and rabbit should be illegal. What a tremendous waste of resources
Load of rubbish Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra beats your crapple phone 📱 hands down your talking about stupid gadgets not Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra who wins hands down 😂😅🤣👎
these gadgets are really stupid not useful at all, and who bought that for his personal usage dont know what a normal smartphone can do !
