Beginning at 0:38, the yarder logging scenes at the beginning are Miller Shingle Company out of Granite Falls, WA. I used to work there. The big guy with the beard is hooktender Keith Cool.

because it takes a real man to say hey ! I'm a logger and i love my job the air the smells the rush of a close call no other job offers this kind of experience, except maybe crab fishing i dunno ive never been there but i can only imagine.. love yer logger because the dollar you spend and the toilet papers you wipe with was giving to you by men who risk it all for penny and simple satisfactions...

It's not the job that's special it's the people that have your back. I've been doing it for 27 year and I love the job even when I hate and the crew is always with behind you

@MrStryperfan Where do you live? I've been around the game for awhile and what I have learned is that for the amount of effort you put into Logging, the return is not that great but I love it all the same, if you love it then pursue it but, there will good times as well as bad.

This is Hank Nelson singing, from Wasilla Alaska.
I met Buzz's son Steve about 14-15 years ago for a project interview. I have his album too that he recorded with some of his dad's music. Steve's voice is a little different, a little deeper, kinda like his dad's.

Logging before it was killed by environmentalists.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever read. There wouldn't even be logging if it wasn't for "environmentalists". The trees would all be gone.
