Ikr it's so disappointing to see actors "tired" of being known for characters that made them famous. More people in hollywood need to be like her
Like Harrison Ford with Han Solo, for example. Ever since Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, he wanted his character dead and he got his wish in The Force Awakens.
That is awesome, considering that she sings "Part of That World" every weekend! Normally I would get tired of singing a song I already know but Jodi Benson sings it like she wanted to sing it so badly!
Yeah it always makes me sad whenever an actor or actress gets so bored when being asked about an iconic character they've played. I mean I get they want to focus on their current projects but that shouldn't mean they should leave their past characters in the past.

3:52 I love how she says that she's met kids who are either quadriplegics or in wheelchairs because of the loss of legs or gaining legs and how she connects to that, that's how I connect with her, too. I use a wheelchair and Everytime I watch the movie, I can't help but think, "I don't blame her, I'd do anything for my legs to move too", so, you know, I'm not happy with the fact that I use a wheelchair, but I am more than happy to have grown up watching this movie

I think Hallee was a good choice Disney made 🤷🏻♀️ I guess it's all on opinion or something, no matter who it was going to be, at least ONE person wasn't going to be satisfied.. although it's only acceptable for the appropriate reasons.

Yeah I did this just to try and match the voice with the original one Ive heard over and over throughout the years. Its pretty close at times, if not spot on.

She voices Ariel in everything Disney does with the character of Ariel. Nobody will ever replace Jodie Benson as Ariel!

I always found Ariel so beautiful as a kid but I had no idea that the voice actress behind her is also incredibly beautiful. This movie was my entire childhood. This brought back such overwhelming memories.

Ariel and Belle were always my favorite princesses growing up.
It felt so great hearing her say they'd probably be best friends
I can't decide between Belle and ariel. I have been doing musicals my whole life. My second musical ever I was in third grade and I did the little mermaid Jr I was a mersister but wanted so bad to be Ariel. Then in sixth grade I did batb and played Belle. That's when I fell in love with her she's so smart and independent and strong. I did batb 2 more times shortly after that. I just got cast as Ariel in the little mermaid full version and have learned to appreciate her more. She's quirky and funny and has this infectious positivity even if sometimes she's hurting underneath. This is the largest part ive gotten and I'm so excited for it. Something about playing a character you've grown up with helps you to appreciate and relate to them in a new way.

A lot of things happened but the worst was when she wouldn’t let me go outside-I just wanted some fresh air-
And to see the stars-
I ran out the front door one night and sat and breathed and cried because of how much I missed being outside at night-
My mother came to me-screaming at me
She locked me in my room-
I ripped the screen out of my window
(it was already falling out)
And sat by the window trying to breathe- and singing this song

I was named Ariel after the Little Mermaid and was born on the same day as Jodi. Studied for marine biology and worked in an aquarium! Aaaand fell in love with someone across the Atlantic Ocean and ended up crossing the sea to be with him.

She was really nervous and what I did was sing part of your world to her in the hospital. That song is a big part of my moms and my life. I’ll never forget when I heard her sing this in front of me in a medium sized room with other choir members at Disney’s Candlelight celebration. We were all in tears and chills.

Jodi and Paige are my favorite Disney voices. I hope they work together one day, like do a new Disney movie together with their characters being sisters. Anyway Jodi is such a blessed woman with a gift from God.
