Shop 70 was unreal. Picked up many jackets from there. Got a SI puffa for £60 in 1990. Theres a clip when Gazza scores v Pompey in the fa cup in 91 where I’m pictured in it going mad in the corner once he runs over. The guy that owed it would always come down to bmth. As he knew the Redknapp family. He the opened a shop in Bournemouth called the Long Room. Anyone remember the chap and the Long Room? We also used to drive up to Shop 70 and buy as many jackets we could afford. Then just sell for a profit back down here in Bournemouth. John Anthony wasn’t very happy with us 😂
Over the years I’ve seen Stone Island’s prices go up and quality go down (on most pieces, not all). I also feel like they haven’t been as creative, design wise, this season which really saddens me. Yeah profits are the main drive for these big companies, but I feel like they’re outpricing themselves by doing so. Right now I’m really liking what CP company has been doing the last few years, so I’ll be collecting more from them until Stone Island gets its act right
Yeah, I remember when Stone Island was expensive but reasonably expensive, now it’s just ridiculously overpriced. Didn’t Woodhouse used to sell Stone Island I can’t remember if it was on Wardour Street.
My local boutique once told me Woodhouse was the official importer for the UK, this was about 2015. The shop traded for over 40 years but sadly shut last year.
Woodhouse used to be nice shop I remember 1998-1999 Bought a lot of Ysl from them shirt jumper jacket. Even Versace & Valentino jeans Miss the 90s Ysl shirt 40 pounds on sale was nice
Some of the new Made in Italy stuff is pretty good, similar to the old stuff, but the cheaper bits and even some of the expensive bits that are not made in Italy definitely don’t have the same feel. I remember not checking where the jacket was made once, I liked the design but soon realised it was no where near the quality of the Made In Italy stuff. I still like the brand, but I won’t buy anything that’s not made in Italy from Stone Island because I don’t think the foreign stuff is worth the money. It’s a bit sad because Stone Island is such an iconic brand. They don’t care so much for the customers now, more for maximising profits. I wish I’d kept all my old jackets and looked after them more, didn’t realise how good we had it back in the day.

Certain products may vary but I rarely buy stone island until it’s 50% off and don’t buy CP till it’s 60% off. Sometimes it takes a bit of patience but it’s rare I miss out on something I was after. Ridiculous how people pay anywhere near retail
Hi Hox, just wondering if you know much about the “Econyl nylon metal” hooded pieces? There is one at a good sale price of £580;down from £830 currently in the sales? Love the look, just want to know if it’s of good quality, unlike some of the modern pieces doing the rounds at present. Or if anyone knows for that matter. Thanks

Just my opinion - always thought Stone Island was for sheep with no style of their own. Mostly overpriced tat.
Stone Island has got to be the most overrated, overpriced clothing company going, & the quality is appalling too
You say this on every comments section, grow up and stop being a 🧌
You don’t know stone island if you think the quality is bad

Yeah Woodhouse did they were on Oxford St if I remember rightly think it was around 1994/95
On the kings road in the 90s

Wardour Street was the Sale shop but there was Woodhouses up and down Oxford Street at least four or five of them.

Stone Island fashion getting worse and more overpriced. New Classic lines better than newer styles!
Hoxton, waiting for your thoughts on Dior collab 😝
Was in flannels yesterday and the stone island prices are ridiculous..CP Company was the same too
They just did a collab with Dior 😅

Hox, I really enjoy this kind of content, I love learning about other peoples journeys into fashion, thank you for making these videos.
Fully appreciate you brother , thanks
Just wait for Black Friday.
Don't forget man £120 20-25 years ago adjusting for inflation is almost x2 that now
12k had more purchasing power in 2004 than 20k today🫡
