You will definitely find the right drilling company who will do the right job for you without giving you unnecessary excuses. All the best!
Korewaa, I don't usually comment on UA-cam channels but felt compelled to do so when I watched your video. What happened to you was very unfortunate because it appears to be something that happens to most people. It happened to me too. Firstly, that drilling company took advantage of you. Another similar situation happened to a friend of mine who hired a company that drilled down 50 meters and then the same company reported not to have found any water. She then got another company to come out and attempt a second time to which they managed to find water at 50 meters down and just a few meters away from where the first company had originally drilled. honest
A similar incident happened to me but the second time round I just wrote down the questions to ask the drilling company so as not to lose any more money. That drilling company was not very honest with you. If they could not find water even at 130 meters they should have tried another location on the land. Usually at 50 -75 meters water should be found. If not any drilling company that cares for the customer's pocket should suggest another part of the land.
In my situation, I was out of the country when they drilled my borehole...they found water, but the problem is they drilled it 6 meters (20 feet) away from the fence wall, which means it will be very close to the back wall of the house. I have learned from that experience...you just have to be on site...
The following points are meant to equip you with some basic understanding of groundwater: 1) Groundwater, like surface water needs a catchment area to capture and recharge . If you drill on top of a hill, there is no such catchment. Generally you have a better chance of striking groundwater in lower lying areas (valleys) than elevated areas 2) The techniques used for surveying should have capacity for deep ground penetration. One such technique is multifrequency electromagnetic (EM) Traverses, capable of greater than 150m. 3) If water is struck in a borehole, it will be blown out of the borehole and flows steadily if the yield is significant. The contractor lied by saying lots of water will collect in the borehole overnight. He never struck any significant amount of water in the first place. 4) Casing is used to support unstable loose rock. In many instances casing is installed in the unstable sections of the borehole, and left open in solid competent rock. I am curious what the geology is at the site?
@epidoteengineeringconsult5784 exactly. Water don't gush out of a 100 ft hole naturally. if that's the case, the flow will continue after the compressor is turned off and the bits are out. This real work, not looking on UA-cam for answers.
How do you drill a borehole without borehole screens/ sleeve? Before you drill are there neighbours with water, they can advise you on the water depths. From the point the borehole collapsed, it seems the area need mud drilling. What you used was rock dry drilling. Mud drilling is recommended where there are no rocks. Another option of having water all year round is to build a water pan (small lake) that can collect and hold large amounts of rain water. Enough for all use.
This is scary! I have heard stories about this kind of practices. You are Ghanaian so I'm a foreigner. What would they do to me😮😮😮No way! I won't deal with this.❤❤❤Good luck my sister.
They did All of their own Research, So a Contract should be drawn up Stating that if No Water is Found You Will Only Pay Half Of The Price! #Think #Right #Live #Tight
Koreewa, Congratulations on the scale of project you have commissioned. I see you are drilling and establishing underground facilities etc. Please bring back some facilities, structural, and Civil engineers to take another look for soil stability etc. A project this size in Australia will require so many permits and instructors. The risk is the same so please heed caution…. But good job done!
Thanks for the feedback..with the watertank..I had engineers on the team that built it...but with the borehole drilling, that was a project contracted to the drilling company. I chose this company because the boss is a geophysicist himself and came highly recommended. 🙏🏾
This is EXACTLY why boots on the ground and know what you are doing is a MUST in Africa. 😂 In the Caribbean most people don't have a borehole we harvest rain water and store it underground in what we call a cistern. If the cistern becomes dry we simply order a truck load of water.
just praying for you, your emotion is so positive which give me a hope that even after all you going through, one day you will get water in your property, be strong Korewaa,
You must be a very very patient person to even make this video and still not cuss the company boss for his negligence and incompetency. I was furious for the entire length of this video.😂
I had the same issue in Cape Coast and drilled two boreholes. The first one gives less than a barrel full (even in rainy season), and absolutely nothing from the second one. We’ll be harvesting rainwater for our site, as we’re 100% off grid.
We have the same problems in Zimbabwe. There is no standardization in the services. Luckily we managed to get water but our 65m borehole seems to have also collapsed meaning that they did not line it properly. If the current pump fails we will have to find a way to open the shaft once more
I am sorry for your troubles. Next time insist on the drillers to go by the book. They need to drill well into the recommended range of depth. Not the minimum. Some professionals in the field can give you empty promises and excuses when they are not following engineering recommendation. It is disappointing this contractor didn't give the appropriate standard of care in discharging his duty. It was up to him to tell you about the casing, how much it cost and what are the pros and cons so you can make an informed decision. Thanks for sharing your story. It is certainly an "eye opener ". This is a transferable experience for other endeavors in the building process. Good luck with your homestead project and better luck in the next drill. I can't wait to see you dancing in the rain. Lol
The simplest way of finding water, l will suggest does not require all those equipments the drilling company brought. You simply need two coat hangers bent at 90 degrees and one end stuck in a hollow tube such as an empty bic pen or a hollow bamboo stick, one on the right hand and the other in the left hand. You walk holding each about a foot apart in front of you. As you walk around the property, gravitational magnetic pull will draw the two metal pieces together across. An indication of aquifer where you are. This method is still being used worldwide including Australia and Germany. I’m sure you can find it somewhere on UA-cam to save you and your family all that headache. Good luck!
Great videos! Professionally done, capturing attention throughout the narration. From my experience in drilling boreholes at two very diverse locations, a 100m depth should produce some water. Any additional depth would be to improve water quality and sustainable yield, especially in the dry season. Agree to pay 50% of total cost upfront and the rest if contract is successfully executed with water gushing out. You can determine the depth drilled using the length of the total length of the tube used in lowering down the pump into the hole or discreetly talk to the technical hands on the project (not the boss in the first instance). Lastly, for the scale of your project, a 2.0hp pump will be ideal, anything lower may not work well.
Thank you Sis for sharing the video. this drilling company keep telling lies over and over ..but u done a great job by moving forward to achieve your dream🎉..But this drilling company must be put to the law for explanations
Hello let me take this time to thank you for doing this video. I'm in the same area that you bought land so I was wondering if I can get water on top of the Hill you win showing that as possible so I'm happy for that period the second thing is that I learned about the collapsing of the borough hole from you period the third thing is that the death of how deep you have to Dick was very helpful and making sure that these guys bring what is needed And checking before they start that they have it period I really appreciate this video thank you very much and I hope that we get to meet 1 day when I'm on my land and Ghana . SKIPPER
Even when pockets of water (phreatic zones) can be found , underground water move based on natural pressure(rocks) and gravity( mountain ,hill, moon ) to find water up hill you need to ask yourself what will cause water to move up against gravity or to be trapped by rocks in your area . Your terrain raises a serious challenge for any professional water drilling company not just your current contractor.
My prayers go out to you my darling…. An assessment with proof of water is to be presented to you by 2 to 3 different companies, then they need to provide you with a quote on alternatives…just in case mishaps arise..
Deeper wells doesn't necessarily guarantee more water. You just need to hit the aquifer layer...where the water is. On some lands, no matter how deep, you won't get water because there's no aquifer layer. Deeper aquifers guarantee more water than top ones but that is if you have aquifer layer in the first place.
From someone that has drilled a couple of boreholes it all starts with a good hydrological report. As they drill water should be flowing out even before you put the pump inside. The drilling company should have known this.
Obaasima, I can only imagine your level of frustration as you endured this shambolic experience. I don't understand some of these Ghanaian artisans -- their thinking, attitude, communication, and general approach to work. Frankly, I wouldn't have rewarded their incompetence and dishonesty with a pesewa! You don't breach an agreement with your customer, fail to produce results and still expect to be paid. But this is Ghana, where "saa a na y3y3 no oooo" and "fa ma Nyame" rule. I don't think you got an experienced/professional drilling crew, and I pray your next try brings reliable results. We have a long way to go -- but we'll get there.
I am here brainstorming getting on the ground. Eve on the ground see the frustration how much more being away. The other part is those overseeing stuff keep giving assurances but nothing is happening. To be or not to be......hmmm but still relocation go happen.
Professionals are meant to be professionals, that first team were anything but professional. The customer service was terrible and the attitude of the boss was patronising not even apologetic. I know there's no use in asking for a refund. You handled it well and kept your cool. 150 metres is quite deep. I would like to see the video for the underwater storage tank. Thanks for sharing.
This story na wao oo! The company boss just messed up his reputation...he needs to compensate you. Don't worry, that your dream house will be built by fire by force...nothing can stop it!
This is infuriating...I'm so sorry you had to go through this. Unfortunately, I know too well how much we go through as women doing business in Ghana. We are never taken seriously and are easily taken advantage of.
I did one recently at a depth of 140m. Lining of the bore hole with the pipe is standard procedure. And it’s included in the cost and pumping machine for the price. How much did you pay? It cost me 21K.
Sis, I am happy things eventually turned out right for you. But I wonder, why not put the company on blast for their incompetence so others would not fall victim to this man? This "elder thing" seems to perpetuate a lot of ignorance and excuses for not demanding professionalism, integrity, customer service, and just good old courtesy. Too many scammers dodgieness going around.
Agreed! In the States, consumers are able to voice their legit thoughts about a business that misrepresents competency, professionalism, integrity etc.etc.etc . It’s a federal agency called the Better Business Bureau. Do you have similar in Ghana? Anyways I hope you recoup the monies lost in that failed misrepresentation of the borehole drilling company fiasco. I was in a similar situation with a home remodeling company for 3 years. Had to hire an attorney for representation. This company would threaten to take my home if I didn’t pay for a project that never happened. 😩 anyways 10k + lawyer fees later it’s finally over. I learned a valuable lesson, never sign contracts and thoroughly investigate(pray, fast) seriously the business I hire. Anyways I am praying for you Korewaa. God speed!
Samething happened to me, but not on this level, I have to buy a new bigger pump for the water to flow better because of their incompetence. What they do is try your luck work.
I admire your ambitious spirit and tenacity, Korewaa. 👍🏾💖 Setbacks such as this can be very discouraging. Did he take responsibility for his lack of professionalism? …probably not. Our people??🤔 How much did the water drilling company charge you, if you don’t mind?
@@Korewaa-GhBizGirl Blamed it on the land....hahahaha....🤣🤣 M'asere saa....😀 Ghana for you! Well, hopefully he learns a lesson and doesn't repeat the same...on someone else again. I recently did a borehole and although I requested for the machine drilling, my uncle who is taking care of the project, opted to use the local guys to dig it manually. I agreed to it, and they've done a good job. They put a long pvc pipe and a submersible pump in there and covered it, very neatly done. Total cost came to about Gh18K including the submersible pump, the pvc pipe, and a generator. A equally good option you could consider.
Yeah….it might. My property is also hilly, but we got clean water alright. They dug as twice as the depth they initially anticipated though, they didn’t give up, and they hit the water bed. Remember before these drilling machines, boreholes were dug manually in our part of the world regardless of the topography of the land.
@@hettyos6532 You are right. A friend had some guys dig a manhole, manually, for a house in Kumasi. When I visited and saw the intense labor involved, I instructed him to pay them twice the amount they had charged. He protested but I insisted he did that. Man, that was some hard labor!
Most of the borehole “companies” in Ghana are actually middlemen with not much expertise. They rent the drilling truck and try their luck. I was mortified when the guy from the company we hired didn’t even finish counting the money without getting confused. They ended up messing up our borehole too and we still don’t have water. Do your research and see previous work as well as a permanent office front of the company you deal with before you contract them or pay. Otherwise you might fall victim to a fly by night bozo who would just mess you up like this. Also always insist on paying just the drilling part upfront and after you get water you pay for the pump and installation. I give it to you, you were too kind in this transaction.
Water drilling is an exact science sister. Please next time make sure you put down in a notarized contract that losses will be split 6o/40 to your advantage if water does not come out. I guarantee you nobody would dare to take on that contract unless they absolutely sure of their skills.
So these guys just wanted to rip you off. Here is what should have happened. 1. They are supposed to drill a thicker hole at the beginning until they find the bed rock. Then drop in Well PVC pipes to the Bedrock. 2. They drill past the bedrock with a few diameter thin drill head past the bed rock until they find water. A wall will 90% cave in on itself above the bedrock. Below that it's rocky and hard material it rarely caves in on itself. 3. If water was found it gushes out. They estimate how many litres a minute are coming out. You keep drilling untill at least above 15l a minute is coming out. NB: you only drop a pump in the well after you fins water not this trial and error trash they did. How do you drop in a pump while not even a drop of water came out while drilling. 4. A red flag I saw is that they told you to wait 3 days to wait for water to collect. That's a nono, what you are looking for is underground water not surface water. 5. A quote that they should have given you should have included piping in the first place. They should have quoted fixed for drilling 150m and they per pipe used up to the bedrock. Bedrock can be found fast or late depending on the area you at. Sorry for lengthy comment. But whatever they did you was not right. Infact they should have refunded the pump because it's their non professionalism that ended things that way. They pump had no business going in without first measuring the level of water.
Lining the Bore hole is Standard in the USA and it's done just to prevent what happened to you. You can not drill a well without suring up the bore hole.
...if there is a break in trend btn 130 to 140 m then there is a fracture which hosts water but if the graph is just straight from 0 to 150 m..they are going to eat your money again for free. Yeah, u can interpret those graphs yourself in the report just by looking at change in the slope or trend of the curve.
I would have flipped and done Kungfu for Sure!!! someone was going to get hurt with words and such lol! That was crazy man!!!. How can you not line the drilled hole? don't make sense? Korewaa, I think you watched a lot of by the fire side when growing. Love your story telling!!!
They were supposed to aligned the pipes from the base to the top and it could be that the position the drilled didn’t have water or the depth of the water is further down below the height they drilled and i can confidently say that the boss is not truthfully i personally spotted red flags when he knew they are supposed to drill 150m and rather showed up with 130m drill pipes to the site and water was supposed to gushed out before even fixing the pump the y should pay for the damaged pump in my opinion
Great video with a sad ending. Quick one , is the drilling company going to refund your money for the work they did not do? Cause you cant let your hard earned money go down the drain
Thanks for your videos and your project 🙏. This is a mega project, and I am wondering how much it is going to cost you and how and where you are going to get the finance from? D
This happened to us on our farm TWT farm in the Volta region . At the end we had to do hydro fracture. Please call Kingaka drilling company. He’s the best
Been here, its hard to get water uphill in many places and also caving wall over pump. i tried with my tractor to rescue my pump but no, almost 3000 usd lost in the process
That first company was a con. But I think many company bosses do this. Next time don't pay until "you first sing in the rain" :) May I say your best bet is with water harvesting but then if you go a year without proper rain, that too may not be best. Please share the construction of 50,000l tank. What materials were used and how you protect against water escaping through the walls?
please for company number two, agree with them to get you water first and you will pay all their monies, they must line the walls and must come with 150m worth of pipes
27,816 cedis? This is crazy. These people will try to rip you off when they see you as a "prey". I paid 18,000 for mine (because it wasn't very deep) but your charger is like double and there's no way they're installing 2 pumps or going 200m deep to cost that much. This geological test even, I don't trust it. They should tell you how deep the aquifer layer is.
"The Boss Man" is being ridiculous! The PVC pipes are the least expensive part of the borehole drilling process and is usually quoted for the entire project. My belief is that he quoted for the entire project and decided to cut corners which backfired. But he doesn't care because its not his money. Secondly, pumping water into a collapsed borehole in order to retrieve a submersible pump is one of the most insanely idiotic thing to do because its like trying to drive out of a muddy pond. Its just a series of unfortunate events due to incompetence. He has been getting away with cutting corners with those PVC pipes in the past but he failed at first contact this time. Unfortunately, I know my people, they will hardly learn from mistakes that doesn't cost them personally. Best of luck Korewaa & Family!
@@Korewaa-GhBizGirl Its just unfortunate. He had the opportunity of making serious money especially from your recommendation. That ship has sailed it seems.
A lot of our contractors are shoddy. I would insist on the contractor providing a bond to cover you in case they screw up. This is the only way to keep shoddy contractors of your site. I would also expose them publicly and ruin their business I have lately video recorded my meetings with contractors and got more technical with contracts this has helped me a lot.
Never take a drilling boss who is more particular about his looks while doing dirty work in the bush. He was bound to disappoint. Sorry for your loss Korewaa. I hope you didn't pay him in full.
Its funny because when i saw the acquired samples from the borehole the drilled i knew something was not okey. The drilling method they used is compressed air to push out any residue from the bottom of the hole. So for you to notice if they hit water you would have seen water flying out from the borehole. And normally for a proffesional driller he would have been honest and told you to go abit deeper. But again there are so many redflags on the company boss he knew you dont have water on that borehole, hence acted like he had not developed the borehole from ground up fearing cost, he also knew if you put a pump down that rabit hole you were never going to get anywater to last you even a minute 🤕its just painful to watch these scammers do you like that. Please next time make sure you make them insure the borehole and have a lawyer with a strict contract 40% - 60% payment policy and make sure you see water flying out of that hole before you even pay them. Again alot of water pouring because after hitting a water fracture they will have to blow it open by compressed air to clean any clogged fracture to allow maximum flow of water into the borehole. Take care and be safe much love from 🇹🇿

@epidoteengineeringconsult5784 exactly. Water don't gush out of a 100 ft hole naturally. if that's the case, the flow will continue after the compressor is turned off and the bits are out. This real work, not looking on UA-cam for answers.
Nice. Can’t wait to move to Africa. Good progress 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
This might be late but please add contingency plans to your programs
Fantastic!!! What an inspiration!! Well done dear ❤
Thank you! Cheers!
You have inspired me.. watching from UK and working on my building project in Zambia.
All the best on your building project 👍🏾
I could feel my blood pressure rise with the borehole manager responses. 😡😡😡 I lift my hats off to you. You handled the failures well. Cheers 😂
🤣
They did All of their own Research, So a Contract should be drawn up Stating that if No Water is Found You Will Only Pay Half Of The Price! #Think #Right #Live #Tight
Oooo this is frustrating😢😢😢 i wish u good luck with the next company ❤
Thanks
First time commenting..
Thank you for these information.. we are learning. Keep us updated wai.. but the first company boss could have done better.
I'm glad you found value in the video🙂👍🏾
Am patiently waiting for an apdate on your automated pautry farm.
Sis. that is not a joke!! You an inspiration to all of us.
I'm glad what I do inspires you 😊
You are an inspiration. ❤
Hi 👋🏾, thanks for the positive feedback 🙂
Koreewa,
Congratulations on the scale of project you have commissioned.
Despite recommendations, visit the last jobs that they drilled.@@Korewaa-GhBizGirl
This is EXACTLY why boots on the ground and know what you are doing is a MUST in Africa. 😂
In the Caribbean most people don't have a borehole we harvest rain water and store it underground in what we call a cistern.
If the cistern becomes dry we simply order a truck load of water.
just praying for you, your emotion is so positive which give me a hope that even after all you going through, one day you will get water in your property, be strong Korewaa,
Thanks David...I appreciate the encouragement 🙏🏾
You must be a very very patient person to even make this video and still not cuss the company boss for his negligence and incompetency. I was furious for the entire length of this video.😂
I'm not sure I'm that patient 🤣 I made the video about 6 months after the incident so I had time to simmer down 🙂
Congratulations. Prosperity. Health..your focus on the goal is good.
Thank you!
Always on point even when you have little or no understanding of what is being done, great job
Thanks for the positive feedback Alfred🙏🏾
Thanks for sharing, you are a great story teller. I had the same issue 6 months ago, paid 14,000 GHC and bore hole water only flowed for 2 days
Try a bigger capacity pump. I did experience the same issue but worked later.
These drilling companies need to be regulated..🤨
I had the same issue in Cape Coast and drilled two boreholes. The first one gives less than a barrel full (even in rainy season), and absolutely nothing from the second one. We’ll be harvesting rainwater for our site, as we’re 100% off grid.
We have the same problems in Zimbabwe. There is no standardization in the services.
Luckily we managed to get water but our 65m borehole seems to have also collapsed meaning that they did not line it properly. If the current pump fails we will have to find a way to open the shaft once more
A big thank you for sharing your experiences. Its been very very helpful. I hope you succeed in all your plans.
Thank you John
Lol
Thank you 😊
Eiii Ghana
Hmm me sii? 🙂
Good luck!
Thank you soo much for sharing 😊
My pleasure 😊
Thanks for the tips 🙏🏾
After drilling test the water sample and do the reverse osmosis accordingly. We used Jonathan Amoah. He is brilliant.
Ok will do...thanks for the tips 🙏🏾🙂
SKIPPER
Hi Skipper..I'm glad you found value in this video. 😊 I'm pray you get better luck with your drilling project 🙏🏾
From her video what do you know about her terrain surely ?🤔
Elevation is not the major factor. Even in low lying rock formations if the rocks are intact you won't get water. Unless you fracture
I love you, Korewaa.
Ok... I get it..thanks for the explanation 🙏🏾
Great story
Yes I believe we will get there too 👍🏾
Is this a commercial or your family residential property?
It's a brilliant scheme and a fantastic example 👏 👍
Family residence
Straight slap!!
🤣
DAMN............ 💥💥💥💥
Excellent video!!!
Thank you very much!
I am here brainstorming getting on the ground. Eve on the ground see the frustration how much more being away. The other part is those overseeing stuff keep giving assurances but nothing is happening. To be or not to be......hmmm but still relocation go happen.
It's hard but you can do it. Good luck
Sure I will make a water tank video very soon. Thanks for watching 🙂
This story na wao oo! The company boss just messed up his reputation...he needs to compensate you. Don't worry, that your dream house will be built by fire by force...nothing can stop it!
Amen 🙏🏾 🙂
This is infuriating...I'm so sorry you had to go through this. Unfortunately, I know too well how much we go through as women doing business in Ghana. We are never taken seriously and are easily taken advantage of.
Sometimes I don't even know how we find the strength to push through all the nonsense...its such an epidemic 😒
You are very lucky. If you had pulled such an amateur contract agreement in Kenya, you could have not only lost the pump but also that piece of land.
today I discover ur channel love it I subscribe
Thanks 👌🏽
Show how constructed the tank
I did one recently at a depth of 140m. Lining of the bore hole with the pipe is standard procedure. And it’s included in the cost and pumping machine for the price. How much did you pay? It cost me 21K.
He charged 27,816 ghc but thankfully I didn't pay all of it after the debacle. I was out of pocket about 17,000 ghc
💯% Agree
This company would threaten to take my home if I didn’t pay for a project
that never happened. 😩 anyways
10k + lawyer fees later it’s finally over.
I learned a valuable lesson, never sign
contracts and thoroughly
investigate(pray, fast) seriously the business I hire. Anyways I am praying for you Korewaa. God speed!
Samething happened to me, but not on this level, I have to buy a new bigger pump for the water to flow better because of their incompetence. What they do is try your luck work.
🙏🏾
@Korewaa-GhBizGirl I would have drilled first before doing anything on the land, including buying the land. Especially mountain lands.
I admire your ambitious spirit and tenacity, Korewaa. 👍🏾💖
Setbacks such as this can be very discouraging.
Did he take responsibility for his lack of professionalism? …probably not. Our people??🤔
How much did the water drilling company charge you, if you don’t mind?
He blamed it on the land 🙂. He charged 27,816 ghc but I only paid 17,000 ghc. I didn't pay the rest 🙃
@@Korewaa-GhBizGirl Blamed it on the land....hahahaha....🤣🤣 M'asere saa....😀
Ghana for you!
@@hettyos6532 Manual for her hilly location? That would cost an an awful lot of time, energy and sweat, wouldn't it?
Thank you for taking the time to enlighten me. All is well noted. I will be going into the next drilling project better informed. I appreciate it🙏🏾🙂
underground tank for rain-water harvesting
Lining the Bore hole is Standard in the USA and it's done just to prevent what happened to you. You can not drill a well without suring up the bore hole.
...if there is a break in trend btn 130 to 140 m then there is a fracture which hosts water but if the graph is just straight from 0 to 150 m..they are going to eat your money again for free.
Yeah, u can interpret those graphs yourself in the report just by looking at change in the slope or trend of the curve.
I see..I never thought of that.
Please how's the cost of the R.O(Reverse Osmosis) planning to execute water company and I need update about the materials and the equipment prices.
I haven't got to that stage yet...Will update when I do..tnx
Copied... Any social media Handles?@@Korewaa-GhBizGirl
..and also read about the type of rock in ur land, becoz there are some rocks which dont host water at all.
I would have flipped and done Kungfu for Sure!!! someone was going to get hurt with words and such lol! That was crazy man!!!. How can you not line the drilled hole? don't make sense? Korewaa, I think you watched a lot of by the fire side when growing. Love your story telling!!!
I loved by the fireside...🤣
What was the cost of the failed bore hole effort?
They were supposed to aligned the pipes from the base to the top and it could be that the position the drilled didn’t have water or the depth of the water is further down below the height they drilled and i can confidently say that the boss is not truthfully i personally spotted red flags when he knew they are supposed to drill 150m and rather showed up with 130m drill pipes to the site and water was supposed to gushed out before even fixing the pump the y should pay for the damaged pump in my opinion
I've learnt my lesson next time will definitely be different 😌
Some Ghana contractors want u to do what they want not what is standard procedure
Great video with a sad ending. Quick one , is the drilling company going to refund your money for the work they did not do? Cause you cant let your hard earned money go down the drain
Incompetence, that "i forgot" was enough for me to discharge them
It take one or two hours to get water
Is it how they pass Engineering course in University?
By try and Error.
🤣🤣 it appears so
Thanks for your videos and your project 🙏.
This is a mega project, and I am wondering how much it is going to cost you and how and where you are going to get the finance from?
D
It is a major project..but we are not in a rush to finish it now so we do what we can as and when money becomes available .
Your respect for him as an elder is commendable. However he did not show you, as a woman, the same respect. Infuriating!!!
This happened to us on our farm TWT farm in the Volta region . At the end we had to do hydro fracture.
Please call Kingaka drilling company. He’s the best
Thanks for the recommendation
My sister you should get all the agreement for this project in details. Un less you have mo.ney to waste
Your replies show that you are enabling a con-man to flourish. Where is the contract?
Please what happened to your pumping machine?
It's still stuck underground
Been here, its hard to get water uphill in many places and also caving wall over pump. i tried with my tractor to rescue my pump but no, almost 3000 usd lost in the process
😒
That first company was a con. But I think many company bosses do this. Next time don't pay until "you first sing in the rain" :) May I say your best bet is with water harvesting but then if you go a year without proper rain, that too may not be best. Please share the construction of 50,000l tank. What materials were used and how you protect against water escaping through the walls?
Sure I will
please for company number two, agree with them to get you water first and you will pay all their monies, they must line the walls and must come with 150m worth of pipes
It's standard procedure to prevent walls collapsing I wouldn't have paid him
I paid him 17,000 ghc out of the 27,816 ghc that he charged
27,816 cedis? This is crazy. These people will try to rip you off when they see you as a "prey". I paid 18,000 for mine (because it wasn't very deep) but your charger is like double and there's no way they're installing 2 pumps or going 200m deep to cost that much.
This geological test even, I don't trust it. They should tell you how deep the aquifer layer is.
Aunty please did you pay them after failure to secure you water?
I paid some but not all 😒
"The Boss Man" is being ridiculous!
Your analysis makes a lot of sense...the sad thing is, his company came highly recommended and he wasn't cheap too.
That's a typical example of some Ghanaian business owners. What a joke,"Oh I forget oooo"😅😅😅
🤣🤣
Never take a drilling boss who is more particular about his looks while doing dirty work in the bush. He was bound to disappoint. Sorry for your loss Korewaa. I hope you didn't pay him in full.
🤣🤣🤣 you noticed right? 🙃
Please tell us who this drilling company is so we dont have the same misfortune befall us.
Take care and be safe much love from 🇹🇿
Thank you Frank for your analysis of the situation 🙏🏾
