I’ve had a large phone since the 7 Plus. I was contemplating going from a Pro Max to Pro this year, but am happy I stayed with the Pro Max. Best features and best battery life on the best phone!
I have an iPhone 14 Pro, and even if the battery is the first one to die in this test, I still like this device. I once hesitated to change to Pro Max but it's bulky, and I could not use it in one hand. So I stick to the 14 Pro. It can still hold up to one day's usual use, as I am not a heavy user. And secondly, I am usually in an office nearby power. So I'm glad with the 14 Pro.
6:00 To those who think they shouldn’t buy the 14 Pro because it’s “leading behind”, no, you should get it. 120hz is truly something everyone must have, and I’m using the 14 Pro, ending days with 10% - 20% battery, with 10 hours of screen on time. Remember - My home has only 1 bar of signal.
I can’t even kill the 14 Pro if I tried in a day but there’s just something about having the extra room on the Max that’s appealing…and the larger screen when gaming.
I agree that there's a degree of uncertainty to the 14 Pro's battery. I upgraded from a 13 and somedays the battery seems worse, some days the same, and some days it crushes the battery life of the 13.
i watched a video that showed the 14 pro beating the 13 pro a bit generally but then getting like 2/3 the battery of the 13 pro in gaming so my guess is the new performance cores kinda suck with efficiency
i tested and i was choked how much it drains the battery i didn’t get it its supposed to save more juice !! Why its draine battery faster am not using it
Your comparison/test videos are great! I was wondering if you could do a battery drain test with all "Plus/Max" sized iPhones, even though they are not all on iOS 16. I say this because it seems lots of videos include the 8 and 7, but not their Plus variants.
Hell yeah! I’m so glad I went with the 14PM! And since launch, my battery on the newest update 16.0.3 has been solid. Easily lasts all day and part of the next day. Came from N10+
Not very much at all. 12, 13, and 14 are practically identical designs. Battery life is better on the 13 and 14 than the 12 but that’s about it. 12 still takes really good pictures and has no issues with day-to-day use and even gaming
I use 14 pro, I got it to days ago, and so far it’s worked great! Yesterday I kind of did my own little test where I watched UA-cam from 8 am to 6pm. At the start of the test I started with 92%, at the end I had 8%. Pretty good if you ask me!
From my experience, upgrading from the 11 to the 14 pro, I feel the 11’s battery life was way better when I first got it than the 14 pro. This could just be my brain playing tricks on me bc I had the 6 plus before the 11 and it was such a huge upgrade in terms of the battery vs. the upgrade from the 11 to the 14 pro. But idk haven’t been too impressed with the 14 pro battery life.
same with me, i upgraded from 6 to 11 and the battery difference was insane, i’ve just upgraded from 11 to 14 pro and the battery is honestly disappointingly the same, idk if its placebo cos i was expecting something crazy and now i’m just disappointed, but after testing both my 11 and 14, my 14 pro would only beat my 11 by 5-10%, and my 11’s battery health is at 83% capacity while my 14 pro is still at 100% 🤷♂️

If they're all conected to the same wifi and cellular networks - How come the 14 Pro has received more messages than the Pro max and the standard ones? Feels like that the 14 Pro has something going on in the background causing more drain in this test.

Maybe there were different settings on the 14 pro for UA-cam. Both times you did the UA-cam test, it lost a lot of ground. Perhaps it was a higher resolution or it had hdr on.
Same, I upgraded from a 12 Pro Max 512GB to a 14 Pro Max 1TB, the 120hz and the battery that lasts over a day made it the perfect phone. My next will be the 16 Pro Max.

I am using the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the battery life is really good because I don’t charge my iPhone as much I love the battery life on this iPhone . I am really surprised that iPhone 14 Pro Max has the best battery life ever in a iPhone.
I had the iPhone 13 Pro, it had amazing battery life and lasted forever and then iOS 16 happened and it completely ruined things. It needed charging loads which in turn wore out the charging port and I had to resort to slow MagSafe charging but because I pay more on my device plan than I need to, I’m lucky enough to be able to upgrade early so I’ve upgraded to iPhone 14 and I’ve not bothered with the pro version this time and I’m actually pleased with my decision. The phone is much lighter, it obviously charges well and it holds battery and I think it takes better photos than the 13 pro did! I thought I’d hate the 60 hz refresh rate but it’s actually fine on an iPhone and not as bad as it is on some android phones.

It makes sense that the 14 pro dies first because it has a smaller battery and it is also smaller than the regular 14. Both 14 plus and 14 pro max have similar batteries. The bigger the phone, the bigger the battery, meaning that it will last longer.
How come my iphone 14 pro lasts 8-9 hours and i dont even watch 4k videos (i barely watch yt) or play any games. i mainly use it for watching vids on instagram, messaging people and i sometimes make phone calls that dont last longer than 10 mins in a day. And when i leave my phone off without AOD, it still drains quite a bit of battery. Is this 8-9 hours normal for my new phone or is there something wrong with it?

14 Pro battery definitely is not impressive. Mine only gets around 6 hrs of screen on time, which is what my 4 yr old Android phone got at the very end of its life when I was desperate to replace it.

I always owned android phones and never owned a iPhone in my life. I recently upgrade my 5 year old Samsung for the s23. Ultra but had it for a week and returned it for the iPhone 14 pro max and I love this phone and the operating system so glad I made the switch
My s10e battery is better than my iPhone 13 pro. I agree this controlled setting for your test is not an accurate depiction of real life use. I feel like the iphone 13 pro drains quick mostly due to it being connected to the 5G data mostly all the time. But I did a test and switched it to LTE only and it was a 5% difference. So in other words I think the only.iphone you should get if you're a heavy user would be the iphone pro max variants.

So the pro will drain faster due to - more powerful chip and 120hz refresh rate The plus does not have those, therefore lasts longer on the same battery.
I haven‘t any of those 14‘s, but i have a 12 mini for a month. The maximum capacity is still 100% and maybe when it always stays on, I think it will die in over 9 hours or so…
Dude I'm contemplating right now whether to go for the Pro or PM. It's like 300$ difference so I don't know if the 14 Pro would be worth it. On my 13 Pro Max the battery was insane, but kinda uncomfortable although I'm a big guy. Are you happy with the 14 Pro and can it last a day atleast on full charge?

Some say iOS versions play a role. I’m using my 13 in iOS 15, haven’t upgraded yet.

14 pro max battery is fantastic, during the week can use it 1,5 days. And even if I use it Sunday all day it can do it. (Not gaming)

@@chevydelaware1335 the pro’s battery is the same as the plus, but the pro has the A16 chip and plus has the 15 chip, the pro drains faster due to this, plus the 120hz refresh
The pro max has a much better battery than them all.
So the pro will drain faster due to - more powerful chip and 120hz refresh rate
The plus does not have those, therefore lasts longer on the same battery.

I haven‘t any of those 14‘s, but i have a 12 mini for a month. The maximum capacity is still 100% and maybe when it always stays on, I think it will die in over 9 hours or so…
Glad I didn’t get the 14 pro because battery life matters most to me over the extra little not very noticeable effects I’m glad I got the 14 instead

Dude I'm contemplating right now whether to go for the Pro or PM. It's like 300$ difference so I don't know if the 14 Pro would be worth it. On my 13 Pro Max the battery was insane, but kinda uncomfortable although I'm a big guy. Are you happy with the 14 Pro and can it last a day atleast on full charge?

Tip: on android and iphone phones just use the assistant and say a specifict brightnes procent or volume and it will apply.
According to 14 pro has better battery than 14. is so doomed in it’s battery testing man.
