I’m really surprised that Scout Troopers weren’t on the list considering one box gives you two units and the unit just got some great new buffs in the recent update. In fact, I bought three of ‘em and I still don’t own ISF and didn’t plan on getting Iden anytime soon (but was surprised with it for Christmas). But I do get how nice it’d be to have Gideon and Del Meeko.

This is well-timed! I just finished up my CIS and Republic armies and now I am looking to start collecting some Imperials. I was a little overwhelmed by the number of options for Empire vs the clone war armies. This really helped me focus on what I should purchase first. My wallet and my brain thank you lol.
Would you ever consider making buyers guides for Legion Skirmish? I think that might be an easier entry for some who might not be ready for bigger games. I’m planning to run some teaching skirmish games at my FLGS with units available for purchase in store right away. That way people can try a skirmish army, then buy it after playing if they liked it.
I'm happy to see that 90% of my first purchases these past few months for legion lined up exactly with this vid! (except for death troopers that came with my core set from ebay and krennic to boot) Almost finished with painting all that's left is infero squad, the health droid and vader!!!

I have been building my CIS and Republic armies exclusively for my wife and I over the past year, but I felt the empire calling to me and had to enlist. I love them but they tend to not get a lot of love in general I think. Looking at the inferno squad expansion, after watching this it could be my next purchase to be honest. 🤠

Awesome video man! I just ordered the clone wars core set, unfortunately it's not gonna be delivered until early February. However, I bought a phase 2 clone trooper set, and a b1 battle droid set to keep me occupied till then...

Surprised to see the LAAT so high up but I get the dual faction thing Original Core Sets were only $80.00 MSRP when the game came out, that $40 jump is steep considering it’s still the soft plastic 😮
Perfect timing on the update!! Recently acquired a new core set for 60bucks. Through Xmas had few units added. Are you forced to hafta have every box for the cards like early Armada? Or will the card pack and basic units keep you covered??
I got into Legion a little bit ago. I don’t think you will have enough upgrades starting out, but I think the upgrade card pack adds enough extra cards unless you’re playing competitively and need a specific newer card.
@@JaretOnUA-cam Thanks. I come from a GW/ 40k background going back to 89'. I liked Battlefleet Gothic so i tried Armada few years back and enjoyed it. I don't play competitively. I lucked into a Legion core set and was slowly adding units, to make it playable. Price wise Legion is waay cheaper than most GW projects. Was looking to try it out.
Some good choices crab. Surprised you mentioned getting just 1 dewback, they tend to only be effective in 2 or 3’s. Looking forward to you CIS run down, although I own most of there units now 😂 iv got addicted
Where do I find news about Legion nowadays? I've seen something about Battalions, new Darth Maul model and the introduction of Pyke faction, but their website's last post is from a year ago. ALso are they still printing the Core Set? I'm strugling to find one (I''m from Brazil, and the core box is gone here and someone told me they are not printing more anymore and the prices here skyrocketed, like it's above $200,00 around here)
For imperials I think the LAAT should be at the absolute bottom of the list, just my opinion. It’s expensive, it takes up a lot of points in your list, and it just doesn’t do enough. You need to get some scout troopers for sure with their updated abilities. Otherwise I like the list!

Inferno just got a points cut and ISF has always been good so the box is a generally good buy, especially if you have/want Iden too

The LAAT also has field commander with governor pryce which is really good for operative Vader
