I have no allegiance to him but I recall the Lib Dems backing David Cameron's ideological austerity and things like the bedroom tax whilst cutting tax on the richest people in the country. The only feasible alternative to the corrupt Conservatives is a Labour or Labour/ Lib Dem alliance. Personally I think Starmer is intelligent and honest whilst Boris is incompetent and dishonest.
