I bought this game after the last time Splatt highlighted it. Decent game. Logged probably 80 hours at that time when I finished everything, and more content has been added since. Def worth the money.
That's a great endorsement really. If somebody had fun after playing 80 hours and remembers it fondly. I think that's a good sign. As long as it's your type of game of course. And it looks very interesting to me.

The multiplayer in this title is described as social. There is a chat for players in general, like there is in Tales of Maj'Eyal, and you can see players running around in town to make things more lively. They do not actually interact with your world, however. The dev says their team is too small to implement much more interactivity, and has no plans to expand on it.
I wonder if mod support may eventually allow for some sort of party mechanics. If people can make Skyrim multiplayer, and this game already has the ghost of the framework for shared instances, it's not unthinkable that people could do such a thing.
@@BrandanLee To give some context, one of the developers had a small project years ago called Gran Skrea (MMORPG) that was a 3D version of RS. It was a great game but development had basically slowed to a crawl and the game died. They shut servers down. This game is building off of what they learned from that game. I've been playing this game for an year and have really enjoyed it.
Really not trying to belittle you guys or anything, because it's good that you notice some of these things, but it's VERY OBVIOUS you have never tried to do a full commentary stream while playing a new game and if you have you would see how difficult it is and so easy to miss the little things. That’d be the most relatable/hilarious feature if you can turn that online feature on. See people. But can’t interact with them It makes my introvert heart so happy 😂❤
I still have fond memories of madly making maple bows to get my fletching skill up onto the ranking list or something they had. And the incredible feeling of when I walked into the wilderness and two guys fully decked out in full rune armor had just wound up fighting to the death. I managed to run off with a full set of bright blue armor, which I was so proud of given how few people had it back then. Then my little brother lent it to a "friend" and it was gone.
I have always loved gathering, and doing non-combat activities that still progress my character in some way or another. I never liked farming kills, I just find it annoying, because I feel stuck in one place doing one thing. Farming gathered items feels better because I am traveling to many different areas, and it feels like I have more control over how my time is spent. So I think I might enjoy this one a lot, even when I am forced to farm kills and items off kills. I had already put this one on my wish list from your last video, but I chose to just buy it this time... thru your link here of course. :)
Because it's still in Early Access, that's why. Give it time. If this ends up being one of the early access games that actually gets FINISHED and reaches full release, I think you'll see a lot more reviews and more popularity for it.
I love how the indie scene provides the games we want, meanwhile AAA studio after AAA studio shuts down due to poor sales. Gjeee....maybe it rewards to listen to what gamers really want and that we don't need super shiny ultra realistic graphics, but just want good gameplay and a fun game.
the game currently has 166 reviews, less than 100 concurrent players & estimated sales of around 8k while having been out for over a year in early access. @@christian_gamer_guy6447 I definitely agree visibility is an issue for games like this but i think often the idea is so niche that the money required to reach everyone that would be interested in the game outweighs the actual income that could be gained which is why AAA games are so broad. Downloaded the demo but wasn't convinced. A HUGE part of Runescape for me, still an active player in both Old School and RS3 is the quest design. That kind of... point and click style. Unless I didn't do the right quests it's just the standard "go here, kill this, grab that" kind of quest that... isn't Runescape. Still an interesting game but doesn't do much different from other games for me at least.
No hostility meant, I think you are a dying breed. Most people into runescape these days either love psychotically minmaxing crafting skills, or run PVP. I say that as a man who started a group ironman and proceeded to spent a month of playtime purely at wintertodt and tempeross haha
