    One modification I made to my Pioneer was to install easily removable back doors covers and rear side panels covers, and cutting out the door and rear side panels to allow storage room. I keep my jack, recovery straps, snatch block D-Rings, shovel, tree saw, 1st aid kit, coiled air hose, tire patch kit, etc. I also use the area under the drivers seat for spare fluids (oil, diff oil, radiator coolant), tools, air compressor. So, you would never know I had all this extra gear by just looking at or in my machine. Wish I could attach photos to show.

    That's an impressive amount of mods. Your efforts really paid off. I saved this episode. I can't think of any mods I'd rather have than the ones you installed. You thought of EVERYTHING. Now, I just have to buy a Honda UTV! I just subbed & rang the bell.

    I would say with the p1000 a second battery is your first priority. Then winch and then what ever you want but tires have to be in their also. 1/2 windshield for me and mine comes off when summer gets here.

    Would really like your thoughts on the Elka shocks. I just purchased a 2022 1000-5 Forest 6 weeks ago. Wish I would have seen this video before I wasted my money on the Honda Plastic windshield. Besides the point our trails in Northern WI can be very rough. There isn't much info on the Elka shocks on a utility side by side on You Tube. Could you let me know you thoughts on them or when you post a video.

    • @UN12actual
      @UN12actual  2 роки тому

      I have been torn on making a review on them. I bought the stage 4, I like them over the stock but not to the amount I think I should or others say. I do think its really a matter of them not being adjusted properly. When I first got them I was shipped the wrong springs and had too much sag, then I got stiffer rear springs which helped. Now the ride is better but I still think it can be too harsh on certain bumps or dips, at higher speeds I have noticed a better ride and absorbing more bumps etc. One of my winter projects is to replace a broken axel and adjust the shocks with factory recommendations. Broke a front axel on my last ride of the season 50 yards from the trailer goofing around ha ha. In some ways I feel like the Honda Fox adjustable shocks ride just as good if not better than my elkas when I rode the trail model at the Honda event. The Elkas should be better than the fox which is why I think its an adjustment thing. Probably be a next summer video once the trails open back up.

      @@UN12actual Thanks for the input. I know a few guys that have the Elka's on snowmobiles they love them but they have a racing background. I am and as you are very knowledgeable in firearms sighting in a scope is no problem. Others struggle. I feel the Elka's stage 3 and 4 are more tuned for the racing guys. There is so much adjusting on them to really use what you spent on them. I feel for the common guy the Fox shocks designed for Hondas are they way I will go. Thanks for the help. I am a huge Tactical guy my second Hobby. Can't believe I never came across your channel before. It took me searching Pioneer video's to find you. Either way I'm sure you'll be seeing me in your comments on other Videos. Thanks again for your time.

    Hi Dave, Thanks for your content on your HP1K5. I must have watched this video 10 times. I'm copying a lot of what you are doing. If I buy any of the gear you use, does that help you out? Also, are you running the same size tire on all 4s? If so, do you like your set up and what size trie, rim, spacers are you using?

    • @UN12actual
      @UN12actual  2 роки тому

      I went with 1" spacers in the rear, then all 4 wheels and tires are same size, plus the spare. I have 28" but after adding the lift I want bigger tires ha ha

    • @curtisparry3146

    • @UN12actual
      @UN12actual  2 роки тому

      @@curtisparry3146 I can’t remember if they are 4/3 or 5/2 as they were take offs from a dealer close out. I think they were 5/2. I got them because it was a great package deal, however the tired ended up being crap and had to buy new ones anyway. I went with terabytes and overall like them If I were doing it over again I probably would have bought the original wheels I wanted either a fuel or method and tires but these wheels still work just fine.

    So has Honda fixed the impossible shift problem? Know issue for years is that where you shift from turf to 2x2 or 4x2 good luck getting back to turf. I ask about it every time my 1000ESP goes back to the dealership for another damn recall. They can’t fix it.

    • @UN12actual

    Genial, todas las actualizaciones. Muy amable por compartir sus útiles consejos. A mi buggy, pienso ponerle un radio CB y FM, pues soy radioaficionado, con una antena abatible. Luego un GPS, para ver destinos. El winch, de 6000 libras, será todo un reto. La idea es divertirse. Es pasear, lejos, con libertad. Grabar en la memoria, todos esos lugares hermosos que nos perdemos de ver y respetar. Quizá, abrir la conciencia de preservar. Poner un tanque extra de combustible. Con la idea de adicionar un motor eléctrico en un futuro próximo Y la idea de colocar sobre el, un panel solar, colocar un cargador doble, que cargue la batería adicional de litio y otra se encargue de mantener la batería del vehículo. Eso se hace con un cargador renogy. La batería de litio es de 100A, 12v, LIFEPO4. Así puedo manejar el winch y radio y cosas futuras, como el pequeño motor eléctrico auxiliar. Sinceramente, el tiempo que disfrutamos sanamente, y compartimos, es ganancia. Por si hay algún peligro, de perros que se te tiran, tengo un bastón de pulso, de 70 mil voltios. Paraliza cualquier cosa. Usada en muchos ejércitos. Y eso, que soy el más calmado de la familia. De paso, llevo el arco y flecha, para practicar tiro al blanco. Bueno chicos, a divertirse, Dios los bendiga.

    The extension was pretty cool if you can afford it. It is extremely expensive and to top it off they wanted 137.00 dollars to ship it, I guess they needed a little gravy money after knocking your head off! O, did I mention, 14 weeks for delivery, I wonder how much they make in interest on all those orders over 14 weeks? Looks good, but no thanks!

    • @UN12actual
      @UN12actual  3 роки тому

      I doubt they are making money on shipping, it was a very large heavy item that had to come via freight. Quality products aren’t cheap sadly but this has been a worthwhile investment for me. I’ve used this a lot on trail rides and having the room, cooler mount, gas and a spare has been great to have. I know it’s a lot of coin but I’ve been very happy with the enhancement to the machine
