That's awesome that she's responding so well to Dutch words! I loved your little giggle when you talked about your husband moving to the UK because of marrying you, haha! We're also on the bilingual parenting journey and it's so exciting to see progress!
Omg I loved this! You’re so cute and put a smile on my face. You’re doing so well, learning and teaching your kids Dutch at the same time. I very much enjoyed ‘faster faster’ 😂😂 don’t worry though I think Olivia’s dominant language will change as she starts going to school and seeing other kids (out of lockdown?!) xx
Awww thank you Alina ha ha! I do like to have a laugh ! it is hard learning but i think if I put my mind to it I could probably learn faster. Olivia is so funny, her favourite is 'yummy lekker!!' it makes us laugh so much. She's attending nursery now, only 2 mornings a week so I hope she does. I can't wait for the day I can have a conversation with her in Dutch though, i'm sure it'll be lovely for you to hear your son speaking to you in Russian too. Looking forward to another bilingual video from you, find your videos very helpful xx
I'm currently teaching my son French and Spanish as a Jamaican. So, I'm not really disciplined to speak constantly in the languages. He watches a lot of French kids' videos as well which helps. I figure it should be easier for your children being that their dad is Dutch. Lovely video 🤗
Wow, French and Spanish ☺️ how is he getting on learning? Yes it's definitely easier as my husband speaks to our kids in Dutch, but I'm home with them most of the time so would be beneficial for me to learn the language 😊 also I'm wanting our house to be Dutch speaking to keep the kids fluent. Thank you so much for watching 😘😘
Love this Jess! You’ve given me some great pointers haha! I definitely need to learn some more french songs as I only know one or two 😬 I feel the same as you, I know the basics and and can understand most of what I hear but I’m not very good at speaking , I get so self conscious and feel like I have no sentence structure! I don’t why but I’ve never thought of just using simple phrases, what am I like!? 😅 Will definitely be making a list of some of these phrases you have used ❤️ lovely video as always
Thank you ☺️. My recent video I've shared more about how I'm learning the Dutch language, if u want more ideas. E.g finding a moms and tots which is only Dutch speaking, learning basic commands in Dutch etc. I'm glad you're learning French!!! I hope it goes well 😃 x
learning two languages is a great gift you can give your kids :) I taught my Daughter English when she was very small, as agame I played with her..She picked it up very fast...I tried german too, which she understands, but doesn't really speak..
Olivia is 21 months old, nearly 2! Yes I'm trying to document or journey, it can be difficult as Olivia is so aware of the camera she decides not to talk or runs away lol, but I'm doing a vlog soon as we're talking both our children to Dutch school this weekend for parents and toddlers x
@@TheMomAbroad there are similar words in English, but the grammar is something else lol. Learning words I find ok, but putting a sentence together is hard 😂

It will be interesting to follow your progress... how old is Olivia? My baby is 2. We are trying to learn French! I try and document it as well.
