I am part Dutch. My Sam took a DNA test and it didn’t show his Dutch heritage. My grandfather immigrated from the Netherlands to America when he was 17. This was in the 1900’s . My family is pretty small. I read that some Dutch people’s ancestors were from Norway or Germany. Since he passed in the 1940’s I can’t ask these questions about his background but I thought it was a very good explanation.

From what I saw, many black people in the USA have black DNA, very much so that I realized that they have 100% black DNA Whether with artists, singers, rappers and many others, there are 100% African DNA in the USA, this leaves me very surprised When I see places in the USA where the color and race, which is the majority, is black in some states in the USA and there is a lot of it, and with great force, a lot of people from Africa immigrating to the USA and it has gone up a lot This year, with immigration from Africa to the USA, it is a record and rising more and more and every day breaking the record and growing a lot People from Africa from Senegal, South Sudan, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana and several others and immigration from these countries grows more and more to the USA so Also with people born in the USA, from what I have seen, it is very common to find people with 100% black DNA.I think this is wonderful for the USA, very incredible

Hi Jess, me and my husband both have Dutch citizenship and our eldest son has both British/Dutch citizenship.We currently have booked an appointment for our two year old, she already has her Bristish passport would that affect her application by any chance? The reason I ask because with my son we applied for the Dutch passport before the British.

Should we send both documents of baby ?? Or any one of them? Please tell me.. or what is a court order because I live with my in laws I don't have residency agreement on my name..

My brother-in-law (RIP) used to love to say that every Dutch person can speak English better than the average Dutch person and they will all try to prove it to you. To be fair, he really could though 😂 This is also why I tell my English and Spanish speaking wife that we'd be fine to move to NL. It's pretty easy to get by without being able to speak Dutch

I'm Dutch, but my family emigrated to the US when I was 3 y/o. While I'm fairly fluent, my difficulty with R's is an absolute confidence killer for me. I would have the tendency to try to roll my R's with the back of my tongue, but if my mouth gets a little dry, it would fail me. My parents loved my mispronunciations as a kid because they thought it sounded cute, so they wouldn't correct. As an adult, I don't sound as cute anymore, haha. I do the "replace the R's with D's" trick with Spanish to help me, but for some reason it feels more difficult for me to do that with Dutch. I suppose because I already have formed bad habits in Dutch and not so much with Spanish yet 🤷‍♂️

I don't see the point in one doing a DNA test if one is in an interracial relationship and raising a mixed-race family. The concept never made sense to me. Surely, the point of being in a interracial relationship is because one does not want one's ancestral heritage to be passed down to one's offsprings and descendants!
