From what I can see there is no way it’s “the worlds most unstable kayak” Looks chubby compared to my NELO K1 Vanquish.

I cannot tell what type of kayak this is - skinny sea kayak ?, sprint boat.?

What makes it so tippy. Did it have a deep v hull? I got a deep v hull kayak.. It was so tippy at first I was white knuckle bracing the whole time using it for first 2 times though I was in rough water conditions.. Allot of people hate tippy kayaks with pretty much zero primary stability but heaps secondary.. But I remember a quote.. If you get a kayak with a flat hull or oval/flat your wanting heaps primary stability and you will always stay a beginner because tippy kayaks you tend to need to learn good bracing, edging, self rescue.. Etc but kayaks that you can just buy and feel stable straight away you tend to never learn bracing and if you do its very basic, never learn edging cause most primary stability kayaks use rudders, and yes allot never learn self rescue cause they think the kayak is that safe... So tippy kayaks are a advanced kayak but if you want to learn good kayaking and have fun at the same time try one out... You may hate it but don't quit on it.

IIRC there was a miscalculation during the design or the build making extremely unstable. The owner/builder used outriggers to keep it upright whenever he paddled it. I own some tippy kayaks as well as a SurfSki, but this one was just crazy hard to keep upright.

Tippy indeed! But you handled it well.
