    Really useful video. I can’t wait to try out. My new downpipe for the RS3 shows up Thursday. I want to compare logs between 91 tune against 93 tune for road course. Also plan on running 93 tune at drag strip and want to get the most out of it so I want to make sure I am not pulling timing. Keep up the great content.

    Been loving the RS3 content. I recently picked up a '18 RS3 and went Unitronic Stage 1+ E85 tune. Got Neuspeed rse102 19x9 wheels with 255 PS4S on all 4. No ethanol Guage yet, but I got an ethanol measuring tube. (also my station has a minimum of E70). The car pulls like nothing I've driven before, but I'm going to log it with VCDS like this to monitor it. Thanks!

    Well, you were dead on. I’m seeing timing retardant on all cylinders running a stage 1 Uni with 91 Chevron gas. West coast gas sucks. I am seeing as much as 8 degrees pulled. I logged a WoT from 1-3 gear. I will try just a 3rd gear pull like you said in the video.

      I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there is no such thing as decent 91 pump gas, haha. You're better off grabbing some E85 from Northside Petroleum and adding a few liters every fill up. You'll see the majority of that timing retardation gone.

    Great video. Enjoying the TTE700 series as well. Great idea to film the progressive change on different files/tunes.
    After watching one of your recent videos on the Audi S4, it got my interested to log my Rs3 as well. Vagcom arrives in the next few days which should be very interesting.
    Question before I go ahead and install an ethonal analyser for my car, adding 5-10% of E85 to a stock engine running an APR stage 2+ 93 tune on an Audi RS3 pre facelift 2015 model is ok to do so?

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  4 роки тому

      Thank you very much. Before you bother installing an analyzer, log your car and see how it's performing. If you see timing being pulled then yes, install the analyzer. Then add 5% ethanol. Your OEM fuel system can handle that fine as long as you aren't seeing any faults or lower pressure in your fuel system... which you can log as well with VCDS.

    Good stuff. Did anyone ever figure out why cyl5 always had timing pull? Were there others with the same issue on that cylinder and that tune? That just seems odd to me. Cyl2 is usually the grumpy one on my GTI but not always.

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  4 роки тому

      Sadly, we were never able to diagnose the 5th cylinder timing pull on the Custom Code software. Once I switched to Unitronic software I have only seen very minor corrections in cylinder 2 and 3 every so often. From my experience, the noisiest cylinder on these 5 cylinders is cylinder 3.

      It totally depends on how much fuel is already in your tank, what your ethanol percentage is already and what ethanol percentage the pump gas you are adding in is. There are a ton of online calculators you can use to determine how much you need to add. Here is one of them: www.georgebelton.com/E85Calculator.php

    • @VancityAudi

      You can comfortably run E15, have a bit better performance and clean up your logs by adding a little E85 to your fuel. Just make sure you are using an ethanol content analyzer to check on your levels at all times

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  4 роки тому +1

      Technically it should be perfectly fine, but I would double check with Unitronic just to be on the safe side. You may need to add up to 30% ethanol to get the octane level up to the appropriate amount. So be very careful. I suggest an ethanol content analyzer to be installed in your car as well as testing the octane level yourself as well to be sure it is what the analyzer says it is
