Nice video. I could not paste to my thread. I saved the scan to my files and logged onto the forum. After writing a thread I didn't see a # symbol, but there was a [ ] that I clicked onto; no curser appeared I typed control V and nothing happened. What did I do wrong? Thank you
The Gateway list just shows a simple good/bad status of the module. If the line is in black, that system is OK, no fault codes. If the line is in red, there is some issue with that module, most of the time fault codes, but it could also be a dead module that doesn't talk.
The $600 HEX-NET is geared towards the professional market that need unlimited VINs. $600 is cheap for what it is, but more than what an individual working with just a few cars needs to pay. Our HEX-V2 interfaces are geared towards the enthusiast market working on a limited number of cars. HEX-V2 3VIN for $199, and 10VINs for $299.
I just purchased the $250 HEX-V2 and it is amazing. You can always upgrade in the future whenever you need. But the HEX V2 basically does everything a VAG owner would ever need including logging. And the $600 version and up products are not too expensive for the functionality that they provide. Im not an employee, just an Audi owner and VCDS is the correct tool for diagnosing Audi/VW.
@@19Blackskills97paperweight cable after 3 vehicles? I hope vcds offer a buy back scheme to prevent e waste. I know people that can go through three vehicles in a couple of weeks/months.😂😂 Why don't they just charge for updates like every other diagnostic tool?
So the 2012 Golf comes equipped with a Missile Launcher huh ?
If it were a little more reliable I might actually be interested..

What is the difference between ok and default !? Black and red !?

Hi Ross tech, I have a mitsubishi outlander with a VW 2 0 tdi engine code BSY, same as BKD I believe. Will a vcds be able to access it?
Why don’t you take your car to a near by VW shop and let them run an Auto scan, and if they are able to do it, then you proceed to next needs
@@AudiyVW its a long way away from me. I ended up going to a garage with a vcds and they could not access the same level of data
10/4 just out of curiosity, how did you ended up with such a car like that ?
@@AudiyVW that's what they came as in Ireland and UK. Some in Europe also.

Is this comparable to taking my car to a mechanic? I tried asking about doing this myself at home and i got laughed outta there
A lot of professional automotive technicians use VCDS, so many cases it is 100% comparable to what a mechanic will do.
@@RossTechVCDS Many Thanks 🙏🏽🙏🏽
